Challenges are about to get a lot more rewarding! Starting Thursday, March 12, you’ll be able to win Pogis for completing Daily, Weekly and Premium Challenges on Pogo. What are Pogis? They’re special points you earn that unlock bonus rewards like Badges, power-ups and avatars.
Pogis go hand in hand with new Constellations. Think of Constellations as limited-time maps, and earning Pogis is how you progress through them. As you reach milestones on the Constellation, you’ll unlock rewards. You can even complete a Constellation multiple times, playing through Bronze, Silver and Gold reward levels.
There’s a lot to unpack, so let’s get some answers straight from the horse’s mouth. In this case, the horse happens to be the winged Pogisus, intrepid ambassador of all things Pogi.
Pogo Llama: Welcome to our extra special guest! Can you tell us who you are and what you do on Pogo?
Pogisus: Pleased to meet you! I am called Pogisus, your faithful Pogi ambassador! You’ll find me flying around the great Constellations glowing in the sky. Other times you’ll find me eating carrots… magical carrots, specifically.
Pogo Llama: A flying horse? Of course! So what exactly are Pogis?
Pogisus: It’s a brand-new way to make all your victories add up! Pogis are kind of like extra points you win for completing Challenges. So not only do you get the normal rewards for completing Challenges, you’ll also earn Pogis!
Pogo Llama: How does this new system work? How will I earn Pogis?
Pogisus: Accumulating Pogis should come naturally to most Pogo players. New Challenges will award Pogis, including Daily Challenges, Weekly Challenges and Mix-n-Match Challenges. Some Challenges will reward more Pogis than others.
Pogo Llama: What are Constellations?
Pogisus: I was hoping you would notice my “Ask Me About Constellations” button! Quite simply, Constellations are where you turn your Pogis into rewards. Each Constellation gives you a limited amount of time to fill in all the stars and win Badges, power-ups and more. The first Constellation will light the skies over Pogo for 60 days. All Constellations will have three different levels — Bronze, Silver and Gold — with 15 tiers of rewards.
One thing to keep in mind: Once a Constellation has ended, your Pogi count resets. Constellations are a bit like sporting seasons — each one a chance to start fresh and win all over again!
Pogo Llama: How will I know how many Pogis a Challenge is worth?
Pogisus: The Challenge description will let you know how many Pogi points to expect. Once Pogis are out in the wild, all new Daily, Weekly and Premium Challenges will reward them! Some older ones will award them too. To be sure, look at the back of each Challenge tile you’re considering activating.
Pogo Llama: What do Pogis look like?
Pogisus: Like golden stars that shimmer and shine!
Pogo Llama: Where can I find my Pogi count?
Pogisus: Fear not, for your Pogi count will be displayed across the Pogo site! Most notably, you’ll see your current Pogi count in the site header, next to your Pogo Gems.
Pogo Llama: Where can I show off my Pogi status?
Pogisus: You will have a lovely frame around your avatar that shows off your level in the current Constellation, from Bronze to Silver to Gold. While you can choose your avatar, you cannot choose your frame. Those must be earned by completing the Constellation.
Pogo Llama: How can I check my Pogi status for each Constellation?
Pogisus: Each Constellation will have an illuminating map so you can plan your next move and fly boldly to glory.
Pogo Llama: What do I get for earning Pogis?
Pogisus: A medley of rewards await the victors, including power-ups, boosters, Badges and avatars!
Pogo Llama: Where will I receive my reward?
Pogisus: You’ll receive a notification when you’ve collected enough Pogis to earn a reward. Your rewards will be delivered automatically!
Pogo Llama: How many Pogis do I need to reach each tier?
Pogisus: This will depend on the Constellation. Each will be a little different, so make sure to read all the details before you start your conquest of the stars.
Pogo Llama: Will players be able to earn more Pogis by redoing Challenges or do they only earn them the first time?
Pogisus: Only once! The first time you complete a Challenge, you earn Pogis. You will not be able to re-activate a Challenge to earn additional Pogis.
Pogo Llama: You mentioned not all Challenges are the same when it comes to rewarding Pogis?
Pogisus: That’s correct. Harder Challenges will generally earn you more Pogis.
Pogo Llama: How will the rewards for completing Constellations work?
Pogisus: They are predetermined, so once you earn the required Pogis and complete a Constellation, you’ll win the Bronze level rewards. You can continue earning more Pogis to reach the Silver and Gold levels and win even more rewards.
Pogo Llama: What will happen to my tokens?
Pogisus: Your final token count will be immortalized and enshrined forever in your profile. And, as a special bonus, we will be awarding players extra bonus Challenges based on their token counts. The more tokens, the more Challenges. These Challenges will offer a high number of Pogis as rewards, letting you light up the Constellations faster. You can even save them for a later Constellation if you want.
Pogo Llama: Can Pogis be saved to earn a higher prize?
Pogisus: Pogis accumulate when there is an active Constellation. You don’t spend them and your count just goes up and up! You earn rewards as you reach certain Pogi milestones. You can think of the Constellation as a visual map. The more Pogis you earn, the further you travel on the map!
But, as I mentioned before, your Pogi count resets with each new Constellation.
Pogo Llama: Thanks so much for your time! It’s not often I get to interview a flying horse.
Pogisus: There aren’t many of us, so I’m not surprised. But happy to stop by! I can’t wait to see everyone start earning Pogis on March 12. Good luck to all!
We do want to acknowledge the amazingly high token counts many of you achieved. Anyone with an active Club Pogo account on March 9 will be eligible for the free Booster Challenges, which will be given out starting March 12. The number of Challenges awarded will be based on token counts.
As mentioned by our flying friend, these special Challenges will be packed with plenty of Pogi points to help you light the skies faster. Use them whenever you want. As new Constellations will arrive every couple months, you can even save them for later.

THIS REALLY SOUNDS WONDERFUL TO KNOW, IT WILL MAKE EVERYONE PLAY EVEN HARDER TO WIN MORE STUFF…GLAD YOU ALL CAME UP WITH THIS NEW PART OF POGO…THANK YOU AGAIN FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK TO MAKE POGO EVEN BETTER FOR US ALL!!!
TLO
Thank you, TLO!
Thanks for explaining the new Pogi system. It will surely make sense after we start using it.
It says we can win badges w/Pogis. Does that mean we’re not guaranteed a badge if we finish a challenge?
I know you probably won’t post this, but this is primarily for your consumption. I actually want Pogo to succeed and thrive, but I just don’t see it happening with the changes you are making and the poor service level you are providing. I am a data geek and watch Pogo stats every time I’m logged in. When I started as a Pogo member, there were well over 100,000 people playing every time I logged in, I didn’t have failed connections, I didn’t have game flake outs, and I didn’t have games that wouldn’t load with current popular browsers. Now there are regularly less than 30,000 people on Pogo, Pogo servers will stop responding in the middle of games and the entire site is unavailable at times, some of the new HD games will all of the sudden reset to a new game when you click on a game button, and I have to use multiple browsers, because I can’t find a browser that all the games will work in on a constantly up-to-date Win10 gaming PC. I understand that part of the issue is changing technology and deprecated browsers as an attempt to give better support in the browsers that you do support, but I don’t think your change management has the proper QA testing requirements as many of the issues with the new games are so obvious, it’s almost like you aren’t trying. I also understand that you are racing against the clock. I just ask that you try harder and act like you want Pogo to continue, which does require your members to like Pogo and the new environment. Right now, I don’t hear much good conversation about the changes in the games I play. It’s almost all critical. Please listen to your members on the games they would like to see in the new realm. Even if you can’t get them out fast, let your members know what games you are working on, even if it is that they won’t be available for a year. Someone knowing that their favorite game is coming to the new Pogo sometime in the future gives reason to stay around. Thinking that you just don’t care gives members reason to leave and find another playground.
Hello CincoDeMayo04,
I want to start out by thanking you for taking the time to comment on the blog. All player feedback is important to us.
Please know that each new feature and game goes through rigorous testing. I do understand some players experience loading issues with the games. When those issues are reported (via the forums or EA Help), I collect the information and have the team take a look. It’s also a good idea to take a look at the specifications page make sure you’re using the most up to date specs for optimum play.
The Construction Zone section of my biweekly Pogo Insider blog does share which games the team is working on. I am provided the latest information and share that out with the community. I appreciate your concern on all of these matters you addressed and thanks again for taking your time to write a comment.
Have you noticed that since you started telling members about these changes that a lot of players are leaving the site? How long can Pogo go on if the memberships keeps dropping?
Thank you. Looking forward to this since March 13th is my 40th Birthday so this all happens during my BIRTHDAY WEEK! HOORAY! Have a great day! :D
Happy 40th birthday, Obsidianbabe!!!!!
How many games do you require “power-up” for and the cost? I don’t buy them because we pay enough just to “belong” to a game site that doesn’t work a lot of the times.
Hello Mauiforeme,
I love Maui! The Banyan tree is so beautiful.
Regarding the use of Gems and Power Ups within games, I do understand that not all are able to purchase them. The Power Ups are available to those players who choose to use them but are not necessary to win any game on Pogo. I realize it does make things faster and easier, but they are not essential to win here on Pogo.
Thank you.
Thank for the info, I play pogo in many rooms and have friends that I’ve made. How will I play with them and carry on conversations while I play, will this change?
There are games that I love to play, will they still be available? I’ve been playing pogo for a long time, some of the new changes you made I don’t care for.
Will the price change to re up in with pogo?
Hi,
I have great news for you because Chat is currently in development! Please read here for more information. Thank you!
Hi again, one more Question, what will happen to my gems that I paid for?
Hi Rieamg,
Gems will continue to be used on Early Access just as they are on Pogo Classic. Thank you.
This is way to much to keep track of. Can I just stay on Classic pogo.
What about chat. Would we be able to chat, and have our tourneys to report our scores.
Hi,
I have great news for you because Chat is currently in development! Please read here for more information. Thank you!
This sounds like fun to me! Thank you.
i was wondering about the bonus challenges based on token count ….what about all of us that had or have very high lifetime token counts but due to spending them our current count is much lower. i think bonus challenges should be based on that seeing as all of our mini mall items and gifts we spent our tokens on are going away seems and added unfair punishment for us who loved our tokens and used them as intended instead of just accumulating them to no purpose
Will there be the opportunity to be able to chat with friends in the game sites. I think that has been the feeling of hy people have discontinued their subscription. It is a great loss to the ability to chat and talk with friends and players
Hi,
I have great news for you because Chat is currently in development! Please read here for more information. Thank you!
what about all our mini items and gems we have paid for???
Hello,
I have great news for you as Minis are a part of Early Access. Minis are still fully available on the classic site. Please click here to learn more about Classic Library and how you can use your Mini as an Avatar on Early Access. Thank you!
Flying horses eating magic carrots awarding pogis. How old do you think your average Club Pogo member is? I plan to ride out my current membership but after that, I’m finished.
I will not be renewing my subscription. Pogo is now for 8 year olds.
WHY DID YOU HAVE TO SCREW UP POGO? YOU COULD HAVE FIGURED OUT A WHY TO KEEP THE SITE THE WAY IT WAS.
how about consintrating on the old games instead of comming up with all these stupid games
I have been a member since about 2002. Back in the old days we used to enter drawings by spending our tokens. I am at 141,000,000 tokens and would have more if I had saved them instead of buying drawing tickets. Hopefully you will be able to tell how many tokens we actually earned. Also It would seem that Pogo would give those of us who have worked hard on EARNING badges the special reward challenges! If we are willing to spend the time and money to purchase Challenges you know we would love to have the same reward as those with outrageous amounts of tokens! Also I hope Pogo ensures that outside vendors or generators can’t sell the new Pegis like they did the tokens… it’s not fair to those of us who earned what we have!
how do you talk to you friends on the new one
I am not a big fan of the changes made. I won’t be renewing my membership I have worked hard and have nearly 32M tokens. Many of us are quite proud of our achievements. The new site is hard to understand and navigate. I’m sorry but the new POGO is a miss for me.
I can not play Solitaire Blitz it just wont start for me.
I think the new pogo sucksi wont be rewing and I been plying 4 over 14 years
I wont be renewingyou have runined the games
I am having trouble trying to get back to pogo everyday so manyheadaches,if it’s not lost password it’s no Adobe reader,so if u see me not playing it’s not my fault some one is screwing with me, I was looking forward to playing the new pogo but I am not sure that will happen.I even put u on my tablet and my cell phone I still can’t find a way to play.
YOU’RE TRULY ROXANN64P
Hello Roxann,
I am so sorry to hear you’re experiencing this issue. Unfortunately I’m unable to troubleshoot here on the blog. Please reach out to EA Help and they will be able to assist you. Thank you!
Wow a lot to take in. Sounds good
The Pogis concept sounds like a fun new way to follow progress and you get rewards too. I loved following my progress with the tokens but was also bothered by the fact that you couldn’t do much with them. Am very happy to see that you really heard us about loss of the tokens and now we will get rewards for them in the form of Challenges. Thanks for taking our concerns seriously. I’ve been with Pogo for a long time and look forward to many more years together.
Hiya pogo
Pogisus sound like something you need to go to doctors for to get a shot just saying lol
It sounds like Pogo has thought this thru. I think it will be fun to collect Pogis.
there are to many changes to pogo at once. and I liked the old daily board best it was less complicated to find the daily, weekly challenges. I do not like the aquarium challenge at all, it is to complicated to win,I don’t always do that badge because I have other things to do besides play pogo.I am trying to decide about my membership, but I will give pogo a chance before i quit. I have been a member for many years and enjoy the games. Thank you
I’ve been on pogo for over 20 years am 72 years of age and not computer savvy my star sign is Taurus the bull we don’t like change for changes sake I have made lots of pogo friends and have even met some of them my favorite games in order are Dominoes Jungle gin spades phlinx11 and word games which sadly I couldn’t play scrabble as I live in the uk I was in 2 minds as to wether or not to as were thousands of others over the years I have found it hard to contact you but on the few occasions I have you have been very helpful good luck as we set out on our venture I live in York England and play almost every day am very fit and agile for my age have a boxer dog who is almost 12 and has had over 15000 pounds in operations I have two jobs and two young grandsons age 2 and 3 who keep me fit and cant drive so ride a Suzuki 600s Bandit people think I’m too old I have worked for the queen and the pope and have donated 72 pints of blood to our national blood bank please try and keep dominoes good luck
Hello peterpan7679,
Thank you so much for reaching out and sharing your story with me. What a beautiful family and life you have and it’s so wonderful you have donated 72 pints of blood!
Take good care over in York and thank you for being a part of Pogo.
A,ll we want is bk pogo pool .and slots games but most of all we want to chat to our friends lots of people have found other game sites ..and the games yous have choseing are to childness yous have done this to yourselves ..take care pogo
Your changing club pogo to much that your about to lose a lot of players. Not impress club pogo!!!
I’m sad that we will no longer have tokens. I have been playing on Pogo for many years and it took a lot of time to earn them. I guess I’ll get used to these Pogis as well. I just have to get used to the new system. I wish you would come up with games that use less Gems. I’m on Social Security and I spend way to much money on gems. I will have to play a lot less in the future because all the “fun” games require way to many gems and I cant afford to play them. Or maybe come up with a Senior Discount on Gems or something. It would be appreciated. I spend upwards of $250 a month on gems and I cannot do it anymore.
Thanks
Hi Teri,
Thank you so much for being a part of Pogo. We all truly appreciate it. Take good care.
This seems to be coming more like a children’s site than an adult one.The new pogo will never be the same for many of us and that is why lots of us will not renew.
:)
“So not only do you get the normal rewards for completing Challenges, you’ll also earn Pogis!” So this confused me. Since normal rewards are/were tokens and tokens are going away…I don’t get it.
Also will the final count of tokens be the net amount we now have or the total amount we’ve earned in our Pogo lifetime?
There are other things that also confused me but I can wait to see how those work. :-)
I have a question about mahjong san. does it only go to level 450. I am there now it wont go up any higher. I done level 450 about 15 times to see if the level goes up and it don’t please let me know about this
Like the tokens. This sounds too complicated. A lot of your pogo members are seniors wanting something to do. Playing the games are all that is needed, unless you want to give out gems.
Pogo charged my credit card (automatically) for new year’s membership but failed to give me the 100 gems that go with it. Can you repair this error????
Hi Judy,
Thank you for letting me know about no receiving your Gems with renewal. Unfortunately I’m unable to troubleshoot here on the blog. Please reach out to EA Help and they will be able to assist you. Thank you!
will miss my token rewards do not like your games where there is no chats that sucks
Hi,
I have great news for you because Chat is currently in development! Please read here for more information. Thank you!
And I know you’re not going to put this comment through. I just read about that new challenge. 40 gems for the alternate? Really? This is exactly what pogo has become. It’s all about the gems. The games are now made so many/most people need to buy gems to finish the challenge. This is why you’re losing so many loyal people. But I suppose it doesn’t matter because you have suckers that are willing to drop the money on the gems and I would suppose that makes up for all the people you’re going to lose. Don’t pretend you’re making all these changes to make it better. These changes were made to make more money.
Not sure I will like this. I am assuming that you no longer can go to the mini mall to buy items for your mini.
I really liked this part of these games.
I’ll give it a try but if I am not happy with it, I won’t be renewing my subscription.
This comment is probably considered quite negative, so I don’t expect that you’ll print it, but I have to say that for a senior citizen, this all sounds very confusing and not at all fun. I have been a member of Pogo since a few days after it started. I play daily just for the fun of playing the games and meeting people. Now I can’t see anyone at all, and there are so many challenges that I know I’m not going to want to do. I wish good luck to everyone else though.
You had a very good thing going before all this kid stuff your pushing. I know you will lose many people including me. Been here since 1999 and it’s sad what pogo has become.
I could care less I like the old pogo this is so stupid ill be leaving in October when my account runs out.START OVER MY FANNY some of us are old people cant get on all the time why even start over on pogis this is nuts
hi,
help…I have an older computer and am having trouble getting into your new format..it won’t display
