Light up the Stars with New Pogis

Challenges are about to get a lot more rewarding! Starting Thursday, March 12, you’ll be able to win Pogis for completing Daily, Weekly and Premium Challenges on Pogo. What are Pogis? They’re special points you earn that unlock bonus rewards like Badges, power-ups and avatars.

Pogis go hand in hand with new Constellations. Think of Constellations as limited-time maps, and earning Pogis is how you progress through them. As you reach milestones on the Constellation, you’ll unlock rewards. You can even complete a Constellation multiple times, playing through Bronze, Silver and Gold reward levels.

There’s a lot to unpack, so let’s get some answers straight from the horse’s mouth. In this case, the horse happens to be the winged Pogisus, intrepid ambassador of all things Pogi.

Pogo Llama: Welcome to our extra special guest! Can you tell us who you are and what you do on Pogo?

Pogisus: Pleased to meet you! I am called Pogisus, your faithful Pogi ambassador! You’ll find me flying around the great Constellations glowing in the sky. Other times you’ll find me eating carrots… magical carrots, specifically.

Pogo Llama: A flying horse? Of course! So what exactly are Pogis?

Pogisus: It’s a brand-new way to make all your victories add up! Pogis are kind of like extra points you win for completing Challenges. So not only do you get the normal rewards for completing Challenges, you’ll also earn Pogis!

Pogo Llama: How does this new system work? How will I earn Pogis?

Pogisus: Accumulating Pogis should come naturally to most Pogo players. New Challenges will award Pogis, including Daily Challenges, Weekly Challenges and Mix-n-Match Challenges. Some Challenges will reward more Pogis than others.

Pogo Llama: What are Constellations?

Pogisus: I was hoping you would notice my “Ask Me About Constellations” button! Quite simply, Constellations are where you turn your Pogis into rewards. Each Constellation gives you a limited amount of time to fill in all the stars and win Badges, power-ups and more. The first Constellation will light the skies over Pogo for 60 days. All Constellations will have three different levels — Bronze, Silver and Gold — with 15 tiers of rewards.

One thing to keep in mind: Once a Constellation has ended, your Pogi count resets. Constellations are a bit like sporting seasons — each one a chance to start fresh and win all over again!

Pogo Llama: How will I know how many Pogis a Challenge is worth?

Pogisus: The Challenge description will let you know how many Pogi points to expect. Once Pogis are out in the wild, all new Daily, Weekly and Premium Challenges will reward them! Some older ones will award them too. To be sure, look at the back of each Challenge tile you’re considering activating.

Pogo Llama: What do Pogis look like?

Pogisus: Like golden stars that shimmer and shine!

Pogo Llama: Where can I find my Pogi count?

Pogisus: Fear not, for your Pogi count will be displayed across the Pogo site! Most notably, you’ll see your current Pogi count in the site header, next to your Pogo Gems.

Pogo Llama: Where can I show off my Pogi status?

Pogisus: You will have a lovely frame around your avatar that shows off your level in the current Constellation, from Bronze to Silver to Gold. While you can choose your avatar, you cannot choose your frame. Those must be earned by completing the Constellation.

Pogo Llama: How can I check my Pogi status for each Constellation?

Pogisus: Each Constellation will have an illuminating map so you can plan your next move and fly boldly to glory.

Pogo Llama: What do I get for earning Pogis?

Pogisus: A medley of rewards await the victors, including power-ups, boosters, Badges and avatars!

Pogo Llama: Where will I receive my reward?

Pogisus: You’ll receive a notification when you’ve collected enough Pogis to earn a reward. Your rewards will be delivered automatically!

Pogo Llama: How many Pogis do I need to reach each tier?

Pogisus: This will depend on the Constellation. Each will be a little different, so make sure to read all the details before you start your conquest of the stars.

Pogo Llama: Will players be able to earn more Pogis by redoing Challenges or do they only earn them the first time?

Pogisus: Only once! The first time you complete a Challenge, you earn Pogis. You will not be able to re-activate a Challenge to earn additional Pogis.

Pogo Llama: You mentioned not all Challenges are the same when it comes to rewarding Pogis?

Pogisus: That’s correct. Harder Challenges will generally earn you more Pogis.

Pogo Llama: How will the rewards for completing Constellations work?

Pogisus: They are predetermined, so once you earn the required Pogis and complete a Constellation, you’ll win the Bronze level rewards. You can continue earning more Pogis to reach the Silver and Gold levels and win even more rewards.

Pogo Llama: What will happen to my tokens?

Pogisus: Your final token count will be immortalized and enshrined forever in your profile. And, as a special bonus, we will be awarding players extra bonus Challenges based on their token counts. The more tokens, the more Challenges. These Challenges will offer a high number of Pogis as rewards, letting you light up the Constellations faster. You can even save them for a later Constellation if you want.

Pogo Llama: Can Pogis be saved to earn a higher prize?

Pogisus: Pogis accumulate when there is an active Constellation. You don’t spend them and your count just goes up and up!  You earn rewards as you reach certain Pogi milestones. You can think of the Constellation as a visual map. The more Pogis you earn, the further you travel on the map!

But, as I mentioned before, your Pogi count resets with each new Constellation.

Pogo Llama: Thanks so much for your time! It’s not often I get to interview a flying horse.

Pogisus: There aren’t many of us, so I’m not surprised. But happy to stop by! I can’t wait to see everyone start earning Pogis on March 12. Good luck to all!

We do want to acknowledge the amazingly high token counts many of you achieved. Anyone with an active Club Pogo account on March 9 will be eligible for the free Booster Challenges, which will be given out starting March 12. The number of Challenges awarded will be based on token counts.

As mentioned by our flying friend, these special Challenges will be packed with plenty of Pogi points to help you light the skies faster. Use them whenever you want. As new Constellations will arrive every couple months, you can even save them for later.

  • I am not happy with pogo at all any more. pogo dropped all the token and chat room games I enjoyed playing for 11 years. Pogo didn’t even tell us of changes coming be for doing so and before my automatic renewal. very unhappy as many players are. I then went to everyone wins bingo, got to do it well, and you also are taking it away. don’t know if I am going to stay with pogo any more, thinking it over.. I do not like the new games, with out the chat rooms or tokens. making tokens was the fun part of the games, as the chat room also gave us friends we could talk with in the games. All the new pogo games look like cartoons for kids. sorry but very unhappy with pogo. tippy miner

    • Hello tippyminer,
      Thank you for your feedback.

I have great news for you as Chat is in the works!
And please know we have been posting about these changes since Early Access began back in March. We’re happy to hear your feedback on the blog, the forum, and in our survey.
      Thank you so much.

  • it sounds interesting and i’m a bit curious, but i miss the old pogo. I want pogo bowl back and I don’t like care about avatar from pogo. I like my pogo mini and the items that were offered before. Please listen to your long time subscribers.

  • Great! good thinking to reward with boosters etc. look forward to getting started

  • so many of the challanges here are SOLIDARE games. not all want to see it be SOLIDARE most of the TIME HOW ABOUT SWITCHING UP WITH OTHER GAMES.

  • not happy you are taking away a lot of good games.i hope we can still find our friends thats why i joined again.

  • I’m not happy with the new Pogo , you can’t help your friends, some of my friends are sick and i do their badges any i could write a book on other things your doing , many of us are not going to join up again , i love Pogo, the old way

  • I WILL SUGGEST USING MY TOKENS THAT KEEP ADDING UP FOR GAME USE OF SOME KIND AND GETTING GEMS AS A REWARD FOR PLAYING THE GAMES ESPECIALLY FINISHING THE WEEKLY CHALLENGES

  • will you also be replacing the games that was taken off of pogo

    • Hiya Kelly,
The Pogo team and I understand you are upset due to some of your favorite Flash games retiring. This decision was made as Java and Flash are being phased out across the Internet. While the retirement date of Flash is stated as end of 2020, please understand that the makers of Flash, Adobe, are retiring features within Flash prior to that. These features may be needed to play Pogo games. The Pogo team is working overtime to transfer over player-favorite Flash and Java games before this happens. This also means they need resources to do so and supporting Java and Flash games are not conducive to that.
The even better news is your favorite Java or Flash games may not be gone forever. The team and I are here listening and reading your game requests for potential future HD transfer. Games like the player favorite, Jungle Gin, which was released last week. We also have a number of new and transferred games in the works including Canasta, Spades, and Dice City Roller. I will always keep you posted on the Pogo Insider with all game developments.
Thanks again for reaching out to me about your feelings on the Flash game retirements. I am here and listening to you all.

  • What happens if you do not finish a constellation when the time runs out?
It resets and then you have a chance to start again from zero or the constellation will go away for ever?

What I want to know if we all have the same opportunities to complete the constellations and earn all the rewards even if we do it on a second chance and different time because is obvious that the persons who don’t buy Mix n match badges or buy only a few would then have less chances to earn complete the constellations in time and earn the same rewards.

    You wont be able to

  • I guess it’s time for me to get badges then. I haven’t really done it that much in the 17 years I’ve been on club pogo. Hope this is worth it :)

  • You folks really know how to destroy a fun site. No matter what you call it or what you do it will never be the same. Your sight will be gone with in a year. I am just sick to my stomach over the changes.

  • Would like to know if we will be able to ‘gift’ Pogis to another player.

  • Appreciate all the hard work it takes to completely remake this game and I suppose bring it to a true gamer forum with all the techno bells and whistles! Certainly, agree most if not all needed updating. Also, have tried to keep up with the blogs, updates and descriptions of what the future of Pogo will consist of – again Congrats!

I do want more challenging games and more variety but being in your older/est age classification group – we enjoy the socialization outlets available and that seems to have been eliminated – we enjoy individual expression and that seems to be gone – we enjoy earning challenges that open unto ‘bigger & better’ but you took away individual choice rewards too.The ability to give someone a smile, make them laugh or know kindness – gone.

These three things are just as important as the game to us – they are what what made us keep coming back because they added an element of fun. Chat & Messaging, Gifts & Expressions and the mini mall items. Hopefully, I missed a blog that mentioned these concepts will be included but I fear you are weeding us out – time & trouble cost $$$$.
Avatars will never be ours or have personality – Hope there’s time to give us something!
Thanks for everything Especially if you can include us in !

    • CYNsfancy,

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback and to do so in a constructive manner. I really appreciate it, and appreciate you being a part of Pogo.
      Thank you!

  • why couldn’t you just leave pogo as it was, I don’t care for early access I can’t private a room in there I can’t chat with my friends and to me that is what Pogo is all about… Get back to the basics and quit with all this stuff we don’t even want.

  • My young grandchildren might really like this but as for me (the paying adult), this is rediculous

  • what ever as long as I can still play games ….lol love my pogo

  • Thank you for this update.

  • When is the last day for earning tokens?

    MsWEBT

    • Hello MsWEBT,
As stated in a May 2018 Pogo Insider, tokens will be removed from Pogo games in the future. I’d like to let you all know that the number of tokens you’ve earned during your time at Pogo will still be visible on Early Access; this feature is now available in your Classic Library. The ability to earn more tokens will be ongoing after launching Pogis. We will be slowly limiting the ways to earn more tokens so we can concentrate on the Pogi experience and it’s rewards.

Please keep an eye on the Pogo Insider and Blog page for all of the most up to date information on all things Pogo. Thank you!

  • I expected to get a lot more then a pogi for having over 112,000,000 tokens! This is so unfair to the many loyal pogo players who have worked hard to accumulate tokens. I for one will certainly not be renewing when my contract is up this summer! What you are doing to this site is such a shame.

  • Looks like its for preschoolers, seriously.

  • Your going to lose a great many players…

  • This sounds so complicated. With the time it has taken to come up with a replacement for the tokens and all of the comments about retaining the token process, there seems to be very little consideration for the long time members. Very disappointing.

  • THE POGIS AND CHALLENGES WE ARE GIVEN WHAT HAPPENS IF THEY ARE IN GAMES YOU CAN’T PLAY OR DON’T LIKE CAN WE REPLACE THEM WITH A FAVORITE GAME TO COMPLETE THE CONSTALLION AND IF YOU DON’T HAVE GEMS DO WE NEED GEMS TO PURCHASE THEM ALSO WHAT ABOUT OUR MINIS WE LIKE TO DRESS UP I HATE THESE AVAITARS THEY LOOK CHILDISH AND NOT FOR ADULTS YOU ALL ARE RUINING THE POGO WE ALL KNOW WE COME TO PLAY AND CHAT WITH OUR FRIENDS AND DRESS OUR MINIS AND WHAT ARE THE LEAGUES TO DO ON THIS NEW POGO HOW CAN WE THAT PLAY ON LEAGUES CONTINUE TO HOST WITH NO CHAT BRING BACK THE GAMES YOU ARE TAKING AWAY FROM US THAT WE LOVE AND WHAT ABOUT THE ROOMS WE LOVE TO PLAY WITH OUR FRIENDS. THE NEW POGO STINKS AND ALOT OF US ARE NOT HAPPY WITH IT YOU KEEP TAKING AWAY OUR FAVORITE GAMES AND SAYING YOUR UPDATING THEM WHEN ARE YOU BRINGING THEM BACK CAUSE IF YOU DON’T YOU WILL CONTINUE TO LOSE MEMBERS AND ITS NOT WORTH THE MONEY TO STAY AND PLAY ON THE NEW CHILDISH POGO I DON’T LIKE IT YOU CAN’T EVEN CHAT WITH YOUR FRIENDS ON THERE THE CLASSIC POGO WE ALL LOVE WE DON’T WANT THIS NEW POGO AS WE CAN’T VISIT WITH FRIENDS THERE. I HATE BADGES AND LOVE DRESSING OUR MINIS THAT LOOK LIKE PEOPLE
NOT THE NEW ONES YOU HAVE IN THE NEW POGO SO PLEASE KEEP CLASSIC POGO AND RID US OF THE ONE YOU ARE BUILDING ITS NOT WORTH THE MONEY TO STAY FOR ME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I understand the need to upgrade the game format due to changing technologies. I’m confused on why that means you need to completely redo the site without even asking the players what they want. This latest update is just one more where I feel that you are insulting my intelligence. This feels like elementary school and not for adults. Mermaids, unicorns and now stars? It’s also apparent you have zero interest in real feedback and instead will only approve posts that make everyone feel good. Sorry, I don’t feel good about any of the new changes and will be leaving when my year is up.

  • What happens to all my backgrounds some I purchased with gems
also will the mini’s and clothing, pets ect..still be available?
and will we be able to purchase the backgrounds and other stuff with the pogis

  • I wish that they would bring back Pogo Bowling

  • I was trying to get into my account to see when I have to pay for Pogo again for another year and it said my password is expired so I tried to update it and it didn’t work . When I try getting a hold of some help from someone from the site it goes blank . I never had a problem before . Why do you make it so difficult . I’m getting very frustrated .

    • Hello BigMuskie1224,
I am so sorry to hear you’re experiencing this issue with your account password. Unfortunately I’m unable to troubleshoot here on the blog. Please reach out to EA Help and they will be able to assist you. Thank you!

  • be nice if we could use tokens for Gems??

    • Hi Cannonb50,
As tokens have no monetary value, they will not be turned into Gems. Thank you.

  • Not happy with this change!!

  • All of this just keeps getting more complicated than necessary. Play games, earn tokens was easy. This is just unnecessarily confusing. I just think you have all spent too much time overthinking this. Loosing interest quickly.

  • THANKING YOU I AM HOPING WE DO NOT HAVE TO START EVERY GAME OVER . OTHER WISE SOUNDS GOOD . LOOKING FORWARD TO THE NEW BOWLING SO OUR LEAGUE THUMPERRULES CONTINUES. I UNDERSTAND HOW MUCH TROUBLE AND MONET SPENT IN MAKING ALL THESE GAMES POSSIBLE TO PLAY . THANKING YOU FROM READYJADE508846

  • I’m sorry, but this is a lot to read in small print when your eye sight is fading.

  • will there be chat in new pogo

    • Hi,
I have great news for you because Chat is currently in development! Please read here for more information. Thank you!

  • I do not like any of this. Will not rejoin!!!

    • Hello,
It is my hope that you do not cancel your Pogo membership. You’re an appreciated part of the Pogo Community and it would be a heartfelt loss to us.
I appreciate your feedback on Early Access. Thanks again for reaching out. I am here for you!

  • Your going to lose a lot of players, the older ones that has played pogo for years. as for me, your taking away every game that I play that is pretty good out of pogo for doing this and leaving a lot of these kids games on here, in which I read while back that the younger ones want these game that your keeping, bull the younger ones has their nose stuck in a cell phone and they don’t even know what pogo is…..

    • Hello KittyPooJane,
It is my hope that you do not cancel your Pogo membership. You’re an appreciated part of the Pogo Community and it would be a heartfelt loss to us.
I appreciate your feedback on Early Access. Thanks again for reaching out. I am here for you!

  • Sounds like fun. I will be looking forward to March 12!

  • As a Pogo member, our annual membership dues and all of the gems we purchase pay for this site. I have been very patient but the new site is very hard to navigate. I was one of the Pogo members that played frequently to earn more tokens. I did not know that earning tokens would be leaving along with a lot of the games that I enjoyed on the old site. The Early Access is not as fun and rewarding.

  • I would like to see more challenges for SCRABBLE – it is my favorite game and have completed all of the challenges 3 times.

  • I am wondering if you are going by the token count that is showing or the token count we have really gotten. A lot of us have spent millions in the mini mall. Will we still get the higher things because ours doesn’t show what we have really gotten? PLEASE fix it where we can still talk to out friends while we play. That’s what has made playing POGO so much fun over the years. Talking with friends and competing against them in these challenges. Thank you

  • Not interested. BUT am interested in Pogo fixing their system to add my number, I’ve tried giving this info several times to no avail. FIX IT!

    • Hello,
I am so sorry to hear you’re experiencing this issue. Unfortunately I’m unable to troubleshoot here on the blog. Please reach out to EA Help and they will be able to assist you. Thank you!

  • Hi please keep my collecting old badges of books since 2003-now. I really enjoy pogo games a lot. Not all kinds of games. What happen with clothes and background stopped?? I use it all the time. Hope Pogo games improving well in the future.

  • Will Pogi’s be available to be PURCHASED??

Unlike the Monthly game (I never remember the date), Will we be given reminders when a Constellation is about to end??

Will there only be one constellation at a time, or multiples?? the games we play in Constellations, will they be of our choice, or games selected by POGO??

Is the 12th, when this starts, the last day we can play HTML and other retiring games??

  • Just wondering if POGO could replace our current tokens with Pogies. WE have worked several years to accumulate all of our tokens, So why not reward us with pogies as replacement for our tokens?

  • Can Pogo turn our tokens into Pogi’s? This way we don’t lose all the tokens we have earned over the years.

  • my early pogo wont load any more gotta stay on old site

    • Hello,
I am so sorry to hear you’re experiencing this issue. Unfortunately I’m unable to troubleshoot here on the blog. Please reach out to EA Help and they will be able to assist you. Thank you!

  • Ty.

  • This sounds pretty juvenile. I am assuming this is the “big” great change we were told to expect? Loss of favorite games, loss of tokens, loss of too much. Pogo is digging a hole here that they aren’t going to be able to climb out of and will be losing an awful lot of loyal followers.

  • Why are you getting rid of Sherlock Holmes. I loved when I heard them narrate the story while you play. Seems like my hidden Object games I enjoy are disappearing? I am unhappy about that. I also upset nothing is ever in the mini mall anymore? I don’t want to loose my tokens or badges took me to many years to get them.

  • are pogis instead of badges?

  • I can’t wait to try this out.
