Pogo Construction Zone – August 3rd

Hello Pogoians!

How’s everyone’s week going? Hopefully great! Before we go into the Construction Zone I’d like to do a formal introduction.

Pogo_Sconnie here! I’ll be taking over as the new face of the community long-term! 😊  

It’s gonna be a fun ride!   

A brief background about me – I grew up in Wisconsin with a passion for sports and food (avid Packers, Badger, and Louisville fan). I’m not too fond of cold weather but love snow if that makes any sense, ha. I migrated a little south to Louisville, where I graduated from the University of Louisville #GoCards. In my spare time, I love traveling, binge-watching The Office & Jersey Shore, attending a sporting event or music concerts, or going to an amusement park (Cedar Point is the best park in the world).

Between now and then, I’ll be checking on the forums and on social media a few times a day to keep up with you all. 😊 

I look forward to getting to know you, supporting you and the community more openly very soon. I’m still familiarizing myself with POGO, so go easy on me.

Welcome to the Construction Zone! Here is where you will find the latest game updates. What is currently “under construction” on Pogo? As often as I can, I’ll sit down with the Pogo team and get the latest info on which games are being worked on and what’s coming. I will always post more details when I have them available. Please understand updates are subject to change.

Please understand that unless an announcement comes directly from EA and/or Pogo, we cannot endorse it as true. All games and updates reported here in the Construction Zone have been given the “go ahead” and are on track to come out. Anything else that is reported is speculation right now.

Events 

New: 

• Weekly Challenges 8/4
  • Jewel Academy – Complete a level with 6 or more moves left 35 times this week!
  • Jungle Gin HD – Win 7 hands this week!
• Weekly Challenges 8/11
  • Cross Country Adventure – Complete 30 scenes this week!
  • Sweet Tooth Town – Collect 50 stars this week!
• GOTM for August is Mahjong Sanctuary!
• Sweet Tooth Town – “Sweet Reveal” event begins from 8/3 to 8/9!

• Join the Under the Sea Merit Badge Event to collect an animated Super Scout badge now through 8/22!
  • Complete 3 Free Challenges or 1 Premium Challenge each week to earn a Merit Badge. Collect both Merit Badges to unlock and earn the bonus Super Scout Badge.
• A mesmerizing new Sea of Color Badge Collection is coming to Challenge Central on August 8! 
  • The new Sea of Color collection brings 30 vibrant fish, slugs, jellyfish, and more to life and pairs each with a fun gaming Challenge!

Ongoing: Don’t miss out!! 

• Explore the Constellation of Partinex the Persistent ongoing now until 9/2!
• Jet Set Solitaire – “Summer Beach Blast” event begins from 7/27 to 8/26!

Game Updates/Additions

• Some sweet developments are coming to Sweet Tooth Town on 8/9!
  • You’ll be able to build her shop in your own town starting on August 9. Speaking of town, we’re also doing some urban renewal! Keep an eye out, because we’re sprucing things up with new trees and decor.
• Quinn’s Aquarium– Scamp’s Play Zone Part 1 is available on 8/10!

In addition to this, we’ve heard you about Scrabble and have addressed some of your concerns.

• Drag and drop – We improved the drag and drop mechanic across all devices.
• Tap to Select – We improved the Tap to Select mechanic across all devices.
• Rearranging Tiles in the Tile Rack – We improved rearranging tiles in the tile rack across all devices.
• Bot Difficulty – We identified an issue with the Beginner Bot difficulty and have deployed a fix to improve the dictionary that it uses for players looking for a beginner difficulty.
  • Other issues we are aware of and hoping to address soon:
    • Setting up tables
    • Ejection from the table
    • Random failures
    • Disappearing letters
