  • Hi Sherri. Congratulations to being in the spotlight. I agree with you (KKK Kardashian):) Wow, your husband served in both the Army and the Navy?! He is my hero too!!

  • Ghost hunter! How COOL is that!!

    • It can be a lot of fun, but I have gotten myself injured a few times. Just this past October, I cracked my rib on a headstone after I fell several feet.

  • Hello Sherri. Congratulations!! You sound like a really cool person to get to know! I would love to hear about some of your adventures. If your ever in Missouri, look me up. I can take you to several spots that are supposedly haunted, You can tell us if they really are!!
Also very tired of hearing about ANY Kardashian, their relatives, their friends and their many adventures. Lets look at some real people sometime!
Please tell your husband Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all he’s gone through on my behalf. All of his sacrifices, all of his away from family time, all his losses…Our country gained a lot because of his losses and so many others. Bless him!! And Bless you too!! His losses were yours as well. The military wives often get lost in the shuffle. I too was a military wife. I empathize with your struggles.
    Sincerely
    Pitmomma4

  • Hi Sherri – Well it makes perfect sense that a Scorpio would be a ghost hunter. Thanks for sharing, I enjoyed your comments.

    • Thanks, DAG. Yeah, my hubby is a Scorpio too. We are both at the end of October, and he enjoys ghost hunts as well.

      • Love your spotlight…….I am too interested in the spooky stuff……would love to meet you if your ever in Vegas…just to meet your energy.

  • Hi Sherri…welcome. I too am curious about ghosts. I had an experience one time. My cousin had just died and because of a bad flue going around we were short handed at work and they wouldn’t let me off to go to my cousins funeral. The next day I had to work evening shift and I got up real early to go put flowers on her grave because I had missed the funeral. I had to walk up a hill to get where she was buried. I saw no one around. I saw a fresh grave and figured it was her. It was. I stood there saying my goodbyes because I had loved her dearly. I was crying pretty hard and then all the sudden felt a hand on my right shoulder and felt it squeeze. It startled me and I turned around to see who was there. No one was there. It scared the crap out of me. Its funny now but I ran. I slipped and slid down a hill and was covered in mud from ankle to waist. A few months later I got enough courage to go back to her grave but no other experiences happened. It takes a lot of courage to be a ghost hunter… apparently I will never be one..lol Best wishes and welcome.

    • Thank you. I love hearing other people’s tales about ghosts.

      • You should come visit Oxford in the UK where I’m from, plenty of stories and old haunts here!!!

  • Enjoyed your comments, thanks for sharing….

  • Hi, Sherri. Thanks for your Spotlight. We, too, are a military family and live in a haunted house that it over 200 years old. It gets crazy, but they are not malicious. Good luck to you in your ghost endeavors.

    • I love those old homes. They can tell quite a story if you listen close enough.

  • Nice profile Sherri. Now for those really interested- go buy her book-lol- I am. We have many haunted places where I live- but I do believe you have to be receptive to these spirits.

    • Thank you. The book has hauntings from every state, so hopefully one of your local ghost stories made it.

  • Thank you all for the wonderful comments!

  • Such a cool profile, Sherri! My late father also served in the Army and retired Navy. I also love that you are into the paranormal and will look up your book – sounds like some interesting reading! Good luck on your future adventures and may you win more than wallpaper :).

  • Hi Sherri, my family calls me the person with the sixth sense. When someone is moving into a new home they want me to investigate the home or apartment before they move. If I sense death or murder has been in that place people don’t move in. I can sense hot and cold touches and see ghostly movements since I was a child. My son picked up the sense from me. I got this sense from my fathers side of the family.

  • Welcome to the Player Spotlight Sherri! A wonderful life philosophy- Speak your mind. People are not psychic and they generally appreciate the truth. And those that don’t are truly in denial, some can never face the truth. My father fought in two battles which he was called home in 07. Also the clean joke I’ll have to remember that one, very cute! I hope to see you in Pogo Land and play a game with you- enjoy your day and keep up the Ghost hunt, I’ll always believe it’s true and their nothing to fear!

    • Thank you for the wonderful comment. I guess speaking my mind goes with the “Scorpio” territory.

  • Very enjoyable profile Sherri! Interesting also! I did visit Salem Mass. once, that was interesting. I also just move to Az. from Pa. Miss Pa. but Az. is beautiful. I hope you and your husband have a great weekend and wonderful summer. Take care!

  • Wow, terrific profile! Such and interesting life you have. Years ago when my sons were preteen we had a paranormal experience. I kept seeing someone, kind of out of the corner of my eye, when I was in my bathroom off my bedroom. I would call out to my boys and there was no answer so I went looking and they were outside riding their bikes. I didn’t pay much attention to it really until my make-up started disappearing and then as soon as I replaced the missing item, it would magically reappear and then I would have two of the item.
Also when I got the boys ready for bed at night, my older son wanted his closet door closed and my younger son wanted his closet door open. I would say,”Okay, guys, whatever!”
Some time later, we moved to a new two bedroom apartment and I gave the boys the master bedroom because it was so big and they could easily share it. Our first night there as they
were getting in their beds, I said, “Okay, closet door open or closed.” And they looked at me like I had grown two heads and said, “It doesn’t matter, there is nothing in this house!”
So we talked about it and decided that we had had a ghost, but it never hurt us. Good luck to you with your Ghosts!

  • Congrats Sherri on the Spotlight. How many folks have said you look like Sylvia Brown? I think you do the instant I saw your photo. May she rest in peace. Tell hubby I thank him for his service to us and our Country. I do believe in Ghosts, good and bad. My grandmother back in the day had viewing in her home. That night she returned, and laid her tubes of lipstick down on her dresser to let family know she was still with them. My mother, who is resting in peace now for over 40 years has called my name to me when I was upset or about to make a mistake. She has always sent me warnings. Great Spotlight. Enjoy your day, and pleasure getting to know you. Hope to see you around the game rooms. I was born in Pittsburgh, Pa. but no longer live there.

  • Hi Sherri, Congrats on being in the spotlight. You and your family sound like great people with adventurous memories to last a lifetime. At one time ghost stories were quite silly to me; then my brother, sister-in-law and daughter, 18 mos, at the time moved into an old house and at Christmas, especially, as well as a few other occasions, my niece would look in a direction where no one was and wave, giggle as though someone was there. I was still skeptical until I was at their home and she actually put her arms out and walked toward a corner in the sitting room. Nothing was there, that we know of!!! After listening to so many stories and reading more on such encounters I am a believer.

  • Hi Sherri, Nice to meet you and read your interview. All the ghost in my old house left because they said I was too mean. Happy hunting. :)

  • Hi Sherri, I am also Sherry, and love all things paranormal, but now won’t watch by myself….please thank your husband for his service for me, he is not only your hero, but should be everyone’s hero. That is the true hero, the American Serviceman……I think I’m going to have to go buy your book……congrats on being in the player spotlight.

  • Hi Sherri, Congratulations on being this week’s Player Spotlight. First let me ask to you thank your husband for me for his services in both the Army and Navy. I too am a big fan of paranormal stories. I have read and enjoyed many books. I will try to find your book to read. You have a great philosophy on life and I totally agree with you about speaking your mind. Hope to see you sometime in one of the games. Take care and God Bless.
    Linda

    • Thank you. My hubby is a great guy. I will make sure to tell him about the thanks that everyone has asked me to pass on to him. As for my book, it is available at barnesandnoble.com and amazon.com.

  • Nice to met you Sherri I too live in Pa in the Poconos. I like your joke pretty cute. I do believe is ghost as well. Thank your husband for me for his service.

  • Love your spotlight! Nice to meet you.

  • One of kindest and most genuine things I have ever read was ” If you could be invisible for a day, what would you do? Make the hopeless hopeful.”
    You have a beautiful heart.
    Wonderful to meet you!

  • Hi Sherri,
    Welcome to Player Spotlight.
What part of PA. do you live at?
I live in West Chester, in Hershey Mill
with mom whose 97, and one brother.
We have two female ghosts who are sisters,
mom told me the first night she slept,
she saw someone at the end of the bed smiling.
every now and then they love to play tricks
one time I put down a hair brush, turned around it was gone,
left the bedroom, came back it was at the same spot.
    Gave me chills.
I believe in ghosts been told I have a gift,
I’ve told mom a few times that something was going to happen,
    and it did. Kinda scary.
How does a person handle a gift like this?
God bless your husband for what he had done for our country.
    God bless you both,
    Patricia

    • We live on the outskirts of Pittsburgh. Thank you for the kind comment and the chilling ghost story.

      • Hi…I too live on the outskirts of Pittsburgh…Allegheny County. I have been reading a lot of ghost books, I just finished “Ghost in the Mirror” and I’m sure I have read your book :) I have a ghost with me at all times of the day…my son passed away 3 days before his first Birthday and I feel him and see him at times…my cat plays with him all the time lol. Avery thank you to you and your husband. God Bless you both.

      • I also live about an hour from Pittsburgh. God Bless you and your family and thank your husband for his service and keeping our homeland safe.

    • omg how little it takes 2 tempt all the, crackpots, and loonies who live in the world of ghosts, goblins and,,lies to the surface, when they see a chance 2 add thier ,,10cents worth of,,,,lies,,in the hope of gaining thier 3 mins of ,fame,,lol,,

      • To not believe is perfectly fine but to insult those who do is not, just because you haven’t experienced anything doesn’t mean others haven’t and to just label them loonies and crackpots and whatever else doesn’t help, people are just sharing stories and nothing more,we all get to find out one way or another in the end,it wouldn’t hurt to be more spiritual while alive and to be kind to your fellow men.

  • Hi Sherri, I liked to read your profile. I’m from Pa. but have lived in Ohio for many years. Please tell your husband Thank You for his service! Enjoy time on Pogo for many more years!!

  • Very interesting profile. Do you have a favorite haunted venue? I am also married to a military man. I admire anyone who has the fortitude to serve, I know I couldn’t do it. Best I can do is keep the home fires burning, but no dusting. LOVED your joke.

  • Hello, love your spotlight, and your sense of humor. I don’t think I would remove fear, because a healthy dose keeps us safe (be sure it’s a healthy dose!). Your husband is the right kind of hero, one who actually deserves the title! “Make the hopeless hopeful.” Beautiful statement.

  • Thank you for sharing & caring Sherri! I enjoyed your article and would love to “borrow” you from your family for a day or two to talk about ghost adventures and paranormal activities! How great for you to be doing what you love to do.

    Blessings,
    ~Ladyeagle

  • The Ghostbusters movie theme is playing in my head. I picture you driving around in your white Cadilac hearse with the red light on top. Enjoyed reading your Player Spotlight, thank you for sharing that with us.

  • Hope your adventures are GREAT and your DNA meets the past to encourage the future that “the end” doesn’t mean there isn’t a next chapter to our souls travels…We know everyone who ever was…..was so we can be today, fun adventure this life. Have fun! Say hi to George!

  • Hi Sherri,

I do hope you’ve been enjoying your spotlight. My aunt had a house somewhere in Washington that was haunted, could hear steps during the night and every now and then a door that was closed would be open. As a Ghost Hunter have you ever been to Old Town in san Diego? There is a haunted house that was owned by the Whaley family for years, I have been to that museum and on several occasions saw some strange things (I believe most of the Whaley ghosts are in parts of the house not accessible to the general public) It’s a really cool museum to just walk through and get to learn about one of the families that lived in San Diego while it was still expanding.

Please accept my thanks for the military services your husband and you as a military wife have done. Hope you’ve had a grand weekend

  • that is awesome that u are a player spot light! wtg Sherri! I personally know this wonderful woman in real life! =]

  • Congratulations on your player spot lot… Thanks for letting us get to know you. And please tell your husband THANK YOU for his service.

  • Let me see if I got this straight, the book I have in my basement is Haunted America, by a different author. But it is ok for you to promote your book and where to buy it on this web site. My family has poems on the web and we are not asking for money

    • No, AoneDodge, it is not o.k. for me to promote my book on Pogo. I am at a loss why you would care so much about it. I was asked by several members where to get the book, so I gave the link. I do not need Pogo to sell my book.

  • What a delight! I thoroughly enjoyed reading this very different spotlight. To the goblin way above, I think many folks have eerie experiences and have no place to speak of them. Most of the comments here have been as enjoyable as your profile, Sherri. Thank you much and I hope you continue having a blast!

  • What a neat profile. We live in a house that in almost 200 years old. It was an old doctors office back in the day.. I agree, an old house will tell a lot if you listen! Man do I have some stories lol. Our doors are constantly opening and shutting, you can hear people walking in the halls and all sorts of stuff. Nothing has scared me off yet lol. I have a lot of history on this house and it is really neat! We even have a lot of the cabinets and furniture that was used. Lightening hit one of the trees out in the back yard so we had to have it cut down. When we got to the bottom part there was some type of rings in the middle of the tree where horses was tied when they came to the drs office… so cool! Of course we kept the wood with the metal rings in it!! If your ever in Texas get ahold of me, would love to show you the place!! Oh I am a Scorpio too.. Oct 28th

  • 希望你的博客如这个夏天一样火热。

  • Thank You. Sherri, for a very interesting profile. I loved the joke :) I can’t wait to read your book. Best wishes to you & yours.

  • Hi, Sheri! I am an avid listener to talk Radio’s Coast to Coast A.M. (George Noory) Do you listen to it? You would be an excellent guest.

    • Thank you! I have a pretty full plate, but that sounds really intriguing.

  • Congrats on the spot light! Very interesting profile, I have loved reading all the comments about “their” stories. I do believe in such things and I have so many stories, that I have happened to me. My granddaughter had was always had imaginary friend outside in the yard. She kept telling her mom that her friend wanted to come in the house. This was always at night, my daughter always told her no. I said it’s imaginary friend, she told me she didn’t want this energy in in the house. The house is also over 200 yrs. All stories are interesting. I live in CT and there were a husband and wife local who were ghost-hunters, Ed&Lorrain Warren. Your ever on Face Book it would be nice, to hear some stories and share with others.

    Cindy

  • Congratulations on being the Player in the Spotlight! :)

  • GLAD YOU MADE IT TO THE SPOT LIGHT,,BUT DO YOU ALL NOT READ YOUR BIBLE IT SAYS THE DEAD KNOW NOT WHAT THE LIVING DO… SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT…
