How to Pogo – Wednesday Badges

wedndesday_challenges_news_hdr_715x125

If there’s one thing that Club Pogo Members are passionate about, it’s earning Badges and lots of them. How do you start to collect Badges, though? The easiest way to start is with Pogo’s Wednesday Challenges.

Pogo offers two Wednesday Challenges each week starting at 7am EST on Wednesday morning. To begin earning your Wednesday Challenge Badges, all you have to do is hit “activate” and start playing! You’ll have until Tuesday evening the following week to complete your Wednesday Badges.

Both of the Wednesday Badges that Pogo offers each week can be stacked with most other Badge types so that you can earn multiple Badges, simultaneously. Stack on similar Challenges in parallel with both Wednesday Challenge games to maximize gameplay and fill out your Badge Collection with lots of colorful Badge goodness!

The very first Wednesday Challenge Badge was offered in 2003. Since then, Pogo has released over 1450 Wednesday Badges, all collected in Yearly Badge Albums. When you complete a full year’s worth of Wednesday Challenge Badges, you’ll receive a special Completion Badge.

The Wednesday Challenge Badges that Pogo offers range between easy and hard. Most “easy” Badges will take about 30 minutes to complete, while “hard” Badges can take around three hours. The most difficult Wednesday Badge that Pogo’s offered is the notorious “Quackadoodle” Badge offered in Quick-Quack. That Badge was so tricky that the requirements and time limit had to be adjusted in order to make sure that everybody could earn it!

Thankfully, we’ve been keeping our ducks in a row since then, making sure that each Wednesday Badge offered is one that’s super fun for you to earn. Try on a Wednesday Challenge on for size and you’ll be on your way towards filling out your Badge Collection in no time!

  • Just like everyone on Pogo, yes we look towards Wednesday and getting our badges. But your statement of ‘super fun for you to earn’ does not apply to 2015 badge for Monoply slots where you had to land on chest. Approximately 34% of us, DID NOT get that badge and in the 12 years I have been a member, that is the first badge I never earned.

By the way, what happened to the letters to the editor? Has not been any since September, 2015. Show us some support and communicate with us, please.

Thank you for reading / listening.

  • I have tried and tried to get the 2014 Filler up badge of Beaker creatures and after a gazillion tries, gave up. any way to get it? Also 2 badges in 2015.. Canasta anti freeze badge will not let me change in the option box what I need to have checked. 2015 monopoly slots badge of landing on community chest twice was insane, many players complaining and I never got the badge. I played every day for hours for that week and no go. Otherwise I have a good experience with Pogo. It’s pretty much my only form of entertainment. Thanks for listening

  • look forward to the Wednesday challenge every week

  • The first thing I do every Wed. is the new weekly badges. It’s fun and challenging. Keep up the good work.

  • I will NEVER forget the Quick Quack badge challenge. I am happy and proud to report I earned that one with the original requirements!!! AND I loved it!! Playing on Pogo is my favorite hobby!! Thanks ya’ll for all you do!

  • Look, I have a lot of fun with Wednesday badges, but the “Rolling Deep” badge in Monopoly Slots was as-tough or tougher to earn as the “Quackadoodle” badge in Quick-Quack. I’ve earned every Wednesday badge ever posed, so I wanted to keep that streak going. If I didn’t have that streak, I would have abandoned the recent Monopoly Slots badge, just like more than 30% of the surveyed players did. Your article falsely states that you’ve kept your ducks in a row. Just when people wanted to spend time with family and friends over the holidays, you went out and set a challenge that took many people 10-20 hours to complete. Hard challenges, okay. Fine. That’s why they call them challenges. Next time, please don’t make those long ones over holidays. Thank you!

  • Thank U Pogo for all the great games an kewl Badges U give us to ear.. Ive been a Club member for many years even tho it only shows 5 years. Just goes to show to not say anything when some people can be mean. Ive learned to pray for all people then it would show I was a club member since 1999 when they first gave us the chance to become one.. Oh well at least I can still get the badges Ive lost.. Thank U two all the folks that work so hard to keep us coming back for more. GOD bless each of you an your precious family’s thru the 2016 year..
    A Happy Club Pogo Player..
    Peace Sandi

  • I love earning badges on Pogo games, and even though some challenges can be frustrating, I try my hardest to muddle through and earn them. I don’t think I have that Quackadoodle badge, so that will be one I still need to earn as well as some other toughies such as ones in Risk.

  • thanks pogo, for the badges.

  • The Wednesday badges are great, but the challenges based on the player’s skill or effort are SO MUCH BETTER than challenges based solely on luck (such as the last Monopoly Slots badge). If it’s listed as a challenge, then it should be based on me meeting the challenge through my playing rather than on the luck of spin.

  • while “hard” Badges can take around three hours” B S Monopoly slots and chizzel slots took 4 days to complete. NEVER do another monopoly slots badge again. It was sooo boring and time consuming.

  • It is always nice to let new badge hounds know that the 2003 album may be the hardest, however, there are the fewest badges within that album. In between the weekly challenge and past album badge earning, you (POGO) may want to direct the new membership to the GAME AWARD album (located at the bottom of one’s personal collection page), so they can then see which games offer RANK UP badges and encourage new badge hounds to play each game at least to first rank badge. This gives badge newbies enough knowledge of each game, that when that game comes around annually for weekly challenge, not only will the newbie know how to play it, they may even be able to help others thus keeping the perfect POGO community and inspiring relationships.

  • As I remember it was the Risk badge. Almost all of the Pogo players(including myself) trying to earn that badge after 5 or 6 hours had to contact Pogo. We all had to let them know we just could not get this badge. In return Pogo asked any players who were trying to get this badge to contact them and they would simply give it to us as if we had earned it. That’s what they did. Pogo realized this challenge was much to hard. They had to give the Risk badge to so many players they decided not to give us such unobtainable challenges again. Thanks Pogo!

  • I’m currently at 1355 on my primary account … many of the older challenges are real toughies, but I’m getting there slowly. I try to choose one difficult & one easy badge each week. :)

  • Hey Pogo, let us not forget the NEARLY impossible Risk badge! That was a hum-dinger also.

  • ok

  • Its two weeks into January 2016 and this is the first we have heard from pogo! This is just info to new people about badges, Theres been no new mini items, no news ,nothing from pogo. The new thing in the slots coin count was causing a lot of anger and pogo just dropped it thinking we would forget and just give in like we always have to do. I just cant believe pogo has changed so much, on any given night there would be 300,000 people on playing, to the point all rooms would be full and hard to get into, now if it reaches 80,000 its a shock. Guess your hoping the new people wont talk to the oldies on here to find out POGO ISNT THE SAME.

  • I so remember the duck badge and the time had to be extended, lol…thank goodness you all were aware of that and haven’t done that again. I have enjoyed working on the badges and I know you have to have the gems to get extra badges you offer, the only thing the tokens are good for is for some of the slot games and buying things in the mall, just wish you all would really consider to use the tokens to buy some of the badges..I know you are a company and need to make money to stay in business and pay the people who work at pogo, but just maybe you could have a different set of badges set up that we could buy with the tokens, being reasonable about the amount of tokens. I visit a lot of games and have talked to a lot of players and they have also mention the possibility of using tokens for badges. Bragging rights are great to say you have so many tokens, but that only goes so far…thanks fore hearing me out and I bet if you took a poll of the tokens for a badge you will see the amount of people who would like this..peachietrishie

  • The monopoly slots badge was hard also, I always can get each badge on Wednesday but this one took me four days

  • do I have an EAGAME CARD

  • Your ducks weren’t in a row when you gave us the Monopoly Slots badge a few weeks ago. Why have you ignored what a disaster that one is/was?

  • thanks for the info. happy to know.

  • This is an explanation of what already is. How about a novelty? I’d like to see a repair that hasn’t ever been fixed, no matter how much attention is drawn to it. The letters to Nowhere gas been reported to be defective. Please fix it.
    Thank You,

  • I agree with most of the article, however your ducks got out of line 2 weeks ago in Monopoly Slots. Every room I was in were plenty of people in the same situation… after playing 8 – 12 hours had only 1 of the chests. And a lot of us, not for lack of trying, do not get the badge because time ran out.

Games that depend entirely on luck ( like slot games ) should not be used as challenges. We have no control over where the reels land.

Personally, I loved the quackadoodle badge (it took skill), but I think this badge is totally wrong.

  • Been a Pogo member since 2003 and have every weekly badge. Even completed the Quackadoodle challenge before it was made easier. Looking forward to more Starter Albums. Keep up the great work, Pogo team!!! <3

  • I Love Pogo

  • I’m not sure why you changed the name of the challenges from Weekly to Wednesday. But, a badge by any other name would still be lots of fun! Thank you for the fun Pogo!

  • Hi POGO!

Thank you very much for making all of our lives interesting! All I can say is, “YES, I can & I look forward to all of the new badges, challenges, mini items & tokens!”

Keep up the good work & Thank You very much!

  • I hope the ‘surprise’ next week will be an increase of the # of FREE personal badge allowances for each week.

  • The Monopoly Slots badge recently was extremely difficult and time consuming. I had no problem with the Quackadoodle badge because that was some skill and not just luck as was the Monopoly Slots. I think that one took more than 6 hours.

  • thank you pogo for not making the wednesday challenge not so hard as we people that work all day , i have a hard time getting them done sometimes .

  • HARDEST GAMES ARE RISK CHECKERS AND CHESS

  • when i first became a member i didnt do many badges.. then i became a badgeaholic and have over 5000..i was just ataying current when you offered the 1000 badge..have redone weeklies over and over.. so glad you offered started albums.. have about 7 badges to do and those will all be done.. quit doing them when the tournaments started..hoping that there are plans for more of those to be offered as there are a lot of us who have had to redo badges..i remember all too well the quackadoodle badge..but did manage to get it done in the original time frame..

  • Well, you all seem to have forgotten the Tri-Peaks disaster that you all had to turn into a Special Edition badge for those who did manage to earn it, so it could be removed from everyone’s albums for those who didn’t earn it. And how about the most recent fiasco with the Monopoly Slots badge several weeks ago now which you all have yet to address. There were MANY who have not been able to earn that badge, and are very angry about it. Are you going to address their concerns about ever being able to complete that one?

  • I’m all caught up again as well as a group of friends. We would love to have some more Starter Albums to go with our weekly challenges!! All the others were Great and a lot of fun. Thanks for all the work and dedication of time everyone puts into all of Pogo!

  • SOME WEDESDAY CHALLENGES ARE NOT MY CUP OF TEA. WHY CAN’T I SUB A PERSONAL CHALLENGE FOR THE CHALLENGE THAT IS NOT MY CUP OF TEA WITH OUT HAVING TO BUY AN EXTRA CHALLENGE? THAT WAY IT STILL WORKS OUT TO 4 CHALLENGES FOR THE WEEK AND IF I WANT MORE I PAY FOR THEM LIKE I DO NOW.

  • all of mine are done lol need some more please

  • I would like to see some new badges in the pogo games espesilly the solitare games

  • The Monopoly slots badge at the end of the year was NOT fun. It was challenging and I finally completed it, but there is nothing fun about sitting for hours upon hours clicking Spin and nothing else.

  • I had been playing Quick-Quack Badge in 2006 on Sept 2006 that it was very difficult game (10 jackpot spins).

  • Badge day Wednesday give additional cause to smile.

  • I really enjoy doing the badges. There are some that I just couldn’t do but most of them I have completed. It took me more time then you say to complete a badge. Keep supplying the badges and I will keep doing them. Thank you for all things to do here. Love it here.

  • at my house, wednesday is known as “badge wednesday” (even the grandkids call it that) All my wed badges are complete including all the starter albums. LOVE my badges

  • I look forward to the Wednesday Challenge Badges every week! It’s one of the things I like best on POGO.

  • Thanks Pogo I always look forward to Wednesdays. A big treat is getting to
    select an extra personal challenge.

  • I love all my badges, I have them all. (Yes that includes the starter albums and that special badge in April of 2013 for 1,000 weeklies earned). However, I did many a badge that
took 20 to 35 hours. Many took 4, 6, 8 hours. Perhaps I am slow. (The 35 hour one in tri-peaks for 35 wild cards was removed as too hard to earn) The 500 blue fireflies in the 2003 album, (20 hours of play time) Has that been removed? 10,000 tokens in Dice Derby also takes a while. When I say a while I mean more than 3 hours. However, all badges are good ones. TheQ9999

  • I have had more trouble getting the Moonlight badge from Greenback Bayou from 2003 than any other badge. The Pin Pal badge where you have to knock down 5 gold pins is also been a nemesis along with the most recent Monopoly Slots badge was also a sore spot to many players across the site. 18 hours of bet max button pushing with not even one Community chest

  • I am so sure i will like this badge
