While the new design is straightforward and should be easy to navigate, we want to call out some of the highlights:
Most Recently Played Games Bar. Placed at the top, this bar allows you to add these games to your “My Favorites” list by simply clicking the little ‘heart’ icon in the upper left corner. Now you can quickly get to your favorites, and add new favorites to latest discoveries!
Bigger Spotlight and News Section! See top Pogo News stories as soon you as visit, and preview Spotlights using the icon bar, or just wait for them to scroll through on their own.
Member’s “My Stuff” on the Middle Left! Find your Mini, your token and gem counts, and other important account information.
Challenge Information on the Right! Find all your current activated challenges and recent badge information
Navigation Tabs! Choose between “Favorites”, “Categories” and “Games A-Z” We’ve added game icons to the “Favorites” tab so you can see the visual representation of those games you like best!
How about separating the existing members from the ones you are trying to impress and do all the changing it up for the people who play for free in an effort to entice them to pay like the pogo club members. When a person has a limited amount of time to jump into pogo world for a bit of fun its kinda like dropping them in a maze and by the time they find their way the time they had to play is exhausted. Things like a homepage are just that…. HOME. It’s disconcerting to come “home” and find that the furniture has been rearranged. While I appreciate that Pogo is trying to do something for the members pogo should consider what a hassle it is to relearn and then have become automatic the amount of clicking that is necessary…. most of the clicking we do here is unconscious so making us have to be aware when we are trying to zone out is counter productive.
AMEN to Maxettarose6 statement. She summed it up in a nutshell. I hate this new page. I may cancel my ten year membership due to the horrid changes to my pogo home page. I hope someone in corporate reads your statement. I’m with you.
I HATE and I mean HATE and DETEST the new page look. PLEASE bring back the original. Why do you fix something that isn’t broken. I’ve been a member for years, and pay often for gems, and MAY CANCEL MY DECADE LONG MEMBERSHIP due to this ugly, confusing, horrible new layout. I’ll go to yahoo games instead.

We pay good money to be club members so why don’t we have a choice on what we have and don’t have. This is the worse idea you guys have ever come up with, the old page was fine. Why not invest your time and our money into fixing games that don’t work right or lag instead of giving us crap we don’t want!!! Pogo cannot leave things alone… This new homepage is AWFUL! I’m considering not renewing my membership because Pogo pages load slowly and now this UGLY homepage! Pogo used to be user friendly, but not anymore.
Hate it!! Will not let me activate daily challenges, nor find my way around to the games I want to play… Might be time to cancel my membership…
Typical POGO – fix what ain’t broken and don’t fix all the stuff that is. I guess I’ll add my “I hate it!” to the ever-so-growing list.
Here’s an idea, have your bored IT people work on getting the game rooms to work on Wednesday when everybody on POGO is trying to crowd into the 2 available rooms to get their badge. Or have your IT people move over to the CS department and have them work on the abuse and harassment problems that POGO doesn’t seem to want to deal with. Maybe they can come up with a way to PERMANENTLY ban people who need to be banned because of their nastiness towards others.
I dislike the new home page…It is chaotic and unorganized…and I really don’t care to see the last games I played…Personally, Pogo should have left well enough alone..The other homepage was excellent.
Was the designer drinking when this homepage was put together? This is BY FAR the worst in the 10 years I’ve been a member. Can’t see how many in a room, difficult to find anything, and CLUTTERED.
Such a very unorganized mess the “new looking page” is – why can’t sites such as this leave things alone when it’s something that is already workable – NO INSTEAD THEY FIX WHAT ISN’T BROKEN AND DON’T BOTHER FIXING WHAT’S BROKEN. Who came up with this hair-brained idea of a layout? It sure wasn’t anyone who actually plays the games regularly.
The Club Pogo home page that was just created looks an awful lot like the regular pogo page for Non members. If Pogo’s “excited” about this new home page they should take a step back and look at it again! It is far from exciting. It’s generic, boring, and very strongly lacks ease of use. Bring back the home page that was there yesterday. Everything was right up front in the line of sight. I know they’re thinking we’ll get used to it and that’s very doubtful.

the new home page is the stupidest thing pogo has done since i have been a member(since it started)my membership payment is due on 12/06/12, if the home page is going to stay like this, don’t get any money from my bank account, because i WILL NOT BE RENEWING!i am as serious as a heart attack about this.

Well, pogo your new page SUCKS!!!!!!!! I have trouble with my short term memory and play games to keep my memory, now you screw it up. You have too much money how about giving it back to us club pogo members. I will not be renewing my club pogo membership. Oh, and an arcade game where I come from has flippers……get with the program. I have noticed lately that there have been fewer and fewer ppl on here. Could it be management. I am tired of Pogo/E&A shoving stuff down our throats. Their hires are just trying to justify why they should be working for Pogo/E&A. Never mind what the paying customer wants. Just goes to show that Pogo/E&A cannot manage change. Another step in the downfall of a corporation.

Why are you wasting your time creating this awful, ugly home page…how about working on REAL issues…getting games to load and being able to redeem EA game cards, for instance? Not going to renew again, that’s for sure!!
Meh. You’ve forgotten the basic point of website design – MAKE THINGS EASIER TO FIND, NOT HARDER.
Maybe you should’ve spent the energy on coming up with weekly and daily challenges from some different games, instead of rotating the same few games (with far too many of them slots, or hidden-object games that cost gems to get anywhere in) over and over.

I really dislike this new home page. and also, please fix the games that so many, like me, cannot play. So many of my favorites do not load. When are you going to do something about this, as so many have complained. Dislike buying a badge for a game that won’t load. Thinking I will not renew my club pogo subscription. There is not much more to say that hasn’t already been said here. I HATE this new homepage, just like I’ve hated ALL the other changes you keep making. Pogo keeps making it very plain that they really don’t care about what the members want or think, they do what they want and then continue to tell us the changes are good and we will learn to like them. Sorry Pogo, this one is by far the worst! Why keep messing up things that were fine to begin with? Pay attention to the people who are helping to pay your salaries…the members!

I hate the new home page also and wish they would change it back. I also hate the white background. The yellow background was much easier to read for people who have problems with their eyes. Please FIX IT!
I hope my friends will be patient with me, as I can no longer find my new messages, gifts or guestbook. On the other hand, look at all the gems I’ll save. :) I’m not going to spend money on anything (badges, gifts, mini-items) that I can’t see when I open Pogo.
I know what my favorite games are and don’t care what Pogo’s “recommended games” are, so that TEN INCH strip down the middle of my screen could be used for something else, for instance which badges I’m working on which are now THREE screens down.
And now I get a message that I’m submitting comments “too fast”? WOW how can one comment and only one comment be “too fast”? Oh the irony!!

Let’s see, over 200 posts about this new homepage and I don’t see one person who likes it. Of course, I may have missed it in the midst of all the negatives, but I don’t think so.
I completely agree. The new homepage is awful and it’s not just not liking change. It’s hard to find anything now. It’s full inconsequential things. It looks like one big ad. They won’t be going back, I know. You’d think with the awful reception the UK change got, Pogo/EA would not have done this.

I no idea why Pogo would feel the need to change the Homepage. There are other ways to update a look without absolutely changing everything. I HATE it. It is not more organized, everything is hidden, it is ugly and unattractive, I can’t see my mini right away. Change is disturbing as it is, but HUGE change makes people very upset. Please bring back the old page – this is awful. Very discomforting and upsetting. Not cool.
I can’t say that I like the new Homepage. It needs something, like “COLOR” Its very disorienting with the stark white background. I also think that the mini should have been left at the top. I’m sure you have your reasons for changing the Homepage, but change is not always good, especially for the older people who play. I think that since there are so many people who pay to play, maybe you could have taken a survey to know how we as paid members felt about it before it was done, at least we should have a voice since we are the ones, or maybe some of the “ones” who make it possible for the site to continue to operate. It will take awhile to get used to this, but I will try, I won’t complain, but try and get used to the “new way” Thank You for listening.
Don’t be too sure they are listenimg, see if they do or atleast respond to the people unhappy with the change before you thank them.

Have a strong dislike (read hate) for the new and “improved” home page. Too much clutter and things are not organized as nicely as they were before Pogo wasted their time fixing something that worked instead of spending their time fixing things that are truly broken. LOL, should be used to it by now, but makes me wonder who’s running things at Pogo and how they make business decisions. The process doesn’t seem to keep their CUSTOMERS in mind!

The new home page “Really Sucks”. Time would better be spent fixing the broken games that you have. Spades is one it freezes up all the time. I have look several message’s over haven’t seen one yet that likes the change.

This new format is simply horrible. There was nothing wrong with the previous homepage. It was concise, well organized and easy to navigate. This is just a mess . . . . please return to the old format or give us the option of which we would prefer.
