As we wrap our celebration of our first 10 years of Club Pogo, we thank everyone who wrote us to be featured! We limited the number to ten, since it’s our 10th year anniversary, but we wish we could have featured everyone!

Tell us a little bit about yourself: I am a mother and a student. I am earning my Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management. I have already earned my Associate’s Degree. I am also earning my Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice. I started school in my mid 30’s. I believe that all things can be achieved if you have faith. Never give up!
I love to sing and dance. A few years ago I was in a play where I got to be Tina Turner. I sang “Fool in Love” and “Proud Mary”. The entire cast, about 45 people, was behind me singing and dancing. I blew the roof off the place! LOL Seriously, it was awesome and if I could, I would sing professionally. Singing in front of a crowd of people is a huge adrenaline rush for me.

How long have you been playing on Club Pogo? Since May 8, 2002
What was your first impression of Club Pogo? I was excited that all of the time I was spending playing the games would finally count for something. I loved the graphics featured on the new site and I just couldn’t wait to start earning badges.
What was the first Club Pogo Badge you earned? The Alligator Badge from Greenback Bayou
What is your favorite Club Pogo game? Dice City Roller
What game do you find most difficult for doing Club Pogo Challenges? Challenges that do not require any skill whatsoever on the player’s part. These are challenges such as “ get X amount of tokens in a jackpot spin”. I prefer challenges that the player actually has to earn through game ability.
What’s your favorite looking Club Pogo Badge? I love the animated icons. You all are so imaginative!
Club Pogo has lots of features – Challenges, messaging, exclusive games, ad-free gaming… which is your favorite? Challenges are definitely my favorite. I look forward to seeing what you all come up with.
Do you have a favorite room? If so, which is it and in what game? I have fun no matter what room I am in~ it’s just the type of person I am!
Who’s your favorite Pogo character? Spike. I adore all of his little adventures and I really like how you all create a unique setting for him each month.
What goes on in your mind when you’re deciding how to dress your Mini? It depends on the day. If there is something going on in the world that I think is news worthy, then I will dress my mini in accordance; such as the passing of a celebrity. Sometimes, I dress my mini according to mini event themes and other times I go with what I am feeling. There are so many options and combinations that it’s mind blowing!
Do you have a favorite Club Pogo memory? If so, describe it… As a loyal POGONIAN I am constantly making wonderful memories. It would take days for me to talk about the awesome people I have met and the games I have enjoyed over the years.
Have you made any long-term friends on Club Pogo? Absolutely, several!
Did you attempt to do the Quackadoodle Challenge before it was changed? Yes, but I quickly realized that it just was not achievable in the allotted time and gave up~ and that’s sayin something because it takes a lot to get Venus to quit!
Have you ever forgotten to do something important because you lost track of time on Club Pogo? Without a doubt. Once I was late picking up my daughter from school because I was working on a challenge. When I got her home I told her why I was late and she immediately jumped on the computer to help me finish it. In my home we believe in sharing~ even addictions. LOL
What makes you a unique Club Pogo fan? I am the type of player that when I enter a room, my presence is known. I’m an extrovert and I love a great debate. I am also a phenomenal player no matter what the game. Once you meet VenusLoveNymph, you never forget her. That’s in cyberspace and in real life~ lol.
Do you ever eat while you play? If so, what’s a favorite “Club Pogo” food? Yes. Sometimes I eat dinner while playing, but mostly I snack. Slim Jims and Red Bull are my poisons of choice.
Do you read the Pogo News? If so, what do you like most about it? I like reading Ms. Netiquette. Some of my fellow Pogo players obsess over the oddest things, yet Ms. Netiquette never loses her cool. She gets props from me for that!

Have you ever had a life changing moment on Club Pogo? Yes, the day I became a paying member of Pogo. Once I felt like the site had purpose I started planning activities around my “pogo” schedule. I have scaled back some because of everything that’s going on in my life, but I am still addicted!
Do you have any additional thoughts or anything else you’d like to tell us? I just want to thank all of you at Pogo for creating such a phenomenal site! I have met so many wonderful people from around the world, shared laughter and tears, enjoyed competition, and spent many a sleepless night staring into the screen while working on badges. This place is my haven, my online sanctuary; it’s where I come at the end of my day to relax. Words cannot express how grateful I am for having access to it.

Rabbit expresses his hoppiness to Venus on her well-deserved recognition by Pogo. She is also a longstanding and admired part the Bunny Kingdom in Pogoland. He can relate may instances of her special kindness. Once when rabbit was under the weather, Venus made a healing brew for him, “I am brewing a rabbit friendly elixir of ginger root, honey, beets & lettuce for you my furry friend.” Venus received the Badge of Bunnies on June 26, 2012, which signifies the high esteem she enjoys among all rabbits fur-ever. She is part of the enjoyment of Pogo for everyone.
Congratulations from someone who doesn’t know you but would like to! You appear to be a very positive and upbeat person. I greatly admire that you are continuing your education in this give-me society. Maybe we will meet someday soon in Dice City Roller. I usually spend most of my time playing the games rather than chatting but I do enjoy watching the chat to see what’s on people’s minds. Congratulations on your 10-year “spotlight” interview. I am overjoyed and humbled by the outpouring of sentiments that my friends have left for me here on this page. I can not begin to express my gratitude for having each of them in my life. Thank you all for sharing in my spotlight. Thank you to those that I have yet to meet, but were kind enough to leave a positive message for me here as well!
This is the reason I love Pogo so much. It brings people together, across racial, political affiliation, socioeconomic, religious affiliation, and even national border lines; lines which may not have been crossed in a real world setting.
