Tell us a little bit about yourself : I live in a small town in PA with my wonderful husband and our three dogs. We have two Boston Terriers and one Boston Terrier Dachshund mix. We are fortunate enough to live at the foot of a mountain where we have deer, bear, turkey and all types of wildlife right in our back yard, sometimes in our front too. I am disabled but my husband and I still love to go out hunting and fishing together when we can. I love to spend time with my husband and dogs. We can’t have kids so our dogs are our babies. I had a Gastric Bypass in October 2012 and it was one of the best things I ever did. Marrying my husband was definitely the best thing I ever did.

What do you usually play on Pogo.com? Scrabble, Poppit!, Crazy Cakes, but I love to play just about all games.
What did you have for breakfast this morning? My normal protein drink and protein bar.
What is your favorite Pogo.com game? Scrabble
What’s your favorite TV show? All CSI’s, Criminal Minds and shows like them
What’s your favorite drink? Since my surgery I can only drink water, tea or my protein drinks
What’s your favorite season? I used to love Fall & Winter but it has change to SUMMER, I am always cold even when it is 80 degrees.
Apart from Pogo, what are your hobbies? I love to hunt & fish and I do Crocheting & Plastic Canvas
What’s the last good book you read? Fifty Shades of Grey
Who’s your hero or heroine and why? My Heroine is my grandmother. She lived a very long and hard life and even in the end she never complained, never said how much pain she was in. She was strong for all of us. I was so very lucky to have had her in my life. My hero is my father. He was in the Army in Vietnam. He was shot and injured but he managed to survive and have us three kids. He lived a very hard life after being honorably discharged. He was one of those Vets that the gov’t forgot. He never forgot but never talked about it. He dealt with it all by himself. To me he was a strong and wonderful man.
If you could be invisible for a day, what would you do? If I was invisible then maybe I could go to heaven and see my grandparents, sister, stepfather and my father one more time.
If you could gently remove any celebrity from the spotlight, who would it be? Justin Bieber
Do you have a clean joke you can share with us? Yes, too bad I can’t think of any right this moment though.
How long have you been playing Pogo? Maybe 15 or 16 years, only became a Club member a couple of years ago though.
What makes you a unique Pogo fan? I don’t consider myself unique. I am just a big fan. I love to play these games.

Coffee, tea, or soda? Neither, protein drinks
Sugary treats or salty treats? Neither, I can’t have either. Has to be somewhere in the middle
Cat, dog or small rodent? Love Dogs. Waiting to get my German Sheppard puppy. My husband says we have too many house dogs right now but maybe I can get one on a year or two.
If you could remove any emotion from mankind, which one would you choose? Hatred. There are too many things in this world to be grateful for that there should be no room for hatred.

Nice to meet you Mary. I had Boston Terriers for over 30 years and they are such fun (and demanding too). We have Poms now and they are so darn cute! Good luck on the bypass, I had a friend who lost a lot of weight with it and she is still thin…Hope to see you on soon.
Hi Mary — Nice to meet another animal lover. I hope you will consider going to the animal shelter for your next dog. Those dogs need a loving home as well as the expensive pure breeds.

I Love the way U love them furry baby’s.. Tell hubby Let U have German Shepherd pup.. we have Jazzi. she will be 2 October 29th.. she is so smart an such a funny stinker..
For her to be so young she is starting to change.. she is very friendly.. but staring to pull away from letting people hug her.. she would not hurt a fly..
She has a older sister name Dasiey that she uses as a chew toy.. Poor Dasiey just lets her have her way.. Dasiey is a little Mountain Feist..

Enjoy your fur babies, they make life entertaining, make us smile and laugh all the time. I feel the same about seeing my Father again! And my Mother, and all my fur babies that are gone now! I had gastric bypass as well back in 2011. I can say without a doubt it’s been one of the best decisions I ever made.

Dr. Oz had a segment on bypass surgery today. His e:mail link is Dr. Oz.com The women on the show were younger. They became alcoholics because alcohol was absorvbd quicker.
I am handicapped (use a walker) and my husband is a Vietnam vet.
Having a desk job caused me to gain weight.

No I am not mad at you. I really love animals too. The only reason we hunt is because that is mainly the only meat we eat. After my gastric bypass I can’t have any fatty meats and my husband has to watch his cholesterol. Wild meat is by far the healthiest and if cooked right also the best tasting. I know there are people who only hunt for the kill or trophy, not us. I couldn’t do that. I just wanted to let you that and that I am not mad at you.

Very nice spotlight profile, thank you for sharing with us. I wish I was your neighbor :) I would absolutely LOVE living there! I can’t imagine sitting outside on your porch and drinking coffee every morning with a view like that! Plus, it seems like I would have a pretty awesome neighbor too (big smile). Thank you everyone. I enjoyed reading all the comments. Also, about my babies, the oldest was my grandmothers and she left him to me when she pasted away. Our middle boy came from the SPCA. Someone brought him because they didn’t want him because he has seizures. He is so protective of me because of his condition. I hold him and comfort him through his seizures. Our baby came from a Mennonite farm. He was a mistake they said. I feel he was created just for us. When he was a baby I held him just like a baby. Now he thinks at 40 pounds he can still be held like that (I do it though). My husband says I spoil them too much. I say, heck yeah, they are my babies.
