Tell us a little bit about yourself : I am a single Mom of 3, & my screen name is a combination of my kids’ initials and birth years. I am also the mother of 3 fur-kids – Chase, a 6 1/2 year old black & white tuxedo cat who I adopted in 2008, Roscoe, an 8 year old Chihuahua mix who I adopted in 2010, and Luke, a 1 year old Pit mix who I adopted 4 weeks ago. Chase & Luke came from a kill shelter in Baltimore County, and Roscoe was adopted from a no-kill shelter in Baltimore City.
I work in a library, but am not a librarian. My job title is Circulation Assistant IV, and my duties include supervising the part-time Circulation staff, and assisting customers when they have problems with their library accounts. The job is very rewarding, even if I do get mistaken for a librarian on a daily basis.
6 weeks ago I fulfilled a life-long dream and purchased my own home. It is a townhome built in 1957, and has been completely renovated. The neighbors are quiet, yet welcoming, and it is literally up the street and around the corner from the apartment that I called home from September 2002 until the day that we moved in here. The best part about that is the fact that my youngest did not have to leave his friends or change schools. Life is pretty good right now.

Who’s your hero or heroine and why? My Aunt Carol. She raised 4 kids as a single parent, and made it look easy.

What makes you a unique Pogo fan? I am a Board Assistant for a Pogo fan site (Pogo Addiction) & I run a contest every week that requires participants to achieve a specific goal in a Pogo game that I choose.
I can usually be found on Pogo.com playing: Anytime I’m not working, chauffeuring, walking dogs or sleeping.

Hi Lisa, Congratulations on your purchasing your home. It is a great step for you and everyone in your family. I admire you being able to be a single parent who seems to have it pretty much together. I was a librarian and am also a Virgo so we have something in common. I love animals but cats are out because of allergies. I do have a great dog who is learning to be my assistant dog. I hope to run into you in a Pogo game sometime,I think we could be Pogo friends. Good luck with everything.
Lisa, Your joke was one of my Mom’s favorite teases! She could always get the grands and adults with that one. I think about it all the time. She is gone now, but she lived to be almost 99 years old and she still told her jokes at every family gathering up until she passed. I just had to tell you this because you like it too! First I would like to say your one strong cookie to do all the things you do for everyone!!! :) I also want to tell you congrats on the new house…and it is so wonderful to have adopted pets and for you to give them new meaning to life…I adopted a very abused dog from the Animal Shelter and he was like a little lovable puppy (he was a 2 year old kurr…made for hunting and not to be a house dog) when we first seen him we decided he was abused way to much to be a hunting dog and decided to take him home with us to see if we could make him our family dog…we already had a cat and ended up getting 2 more cats lol anyways our dog “Hunter” had a couple mishaps of eating clothes when we brought him home but he stopped shortly after getting to know us and has become a wonderful family pet and I’m so thankful to have saved his life. Thanks for everything you all do at “Pogo Addiction” as well…Love yall there!!! Hope to see ya around and to play sometime ((Hugs))
