Pogo Llama: Hello Pogo John! It’s really great to see you here in the Pogo studios and I’m really excited to talk about your latest game, Pogo Mini-Golf!
Pogo John: Hello there! It’s been a while since I’ve chatted about a new game, so I’m really excited to share Pogo Mini-Golf with the community!
Pogo Llama: I’ve playtested quite a bit of this game and it really brings me back to when I would ride my bike to the local mini golf in my hometown. $1 would get me an 18 hole game of mini golf and two Jolly Rancher candies. (Watermelon flavored, of course). But I digress. Please, tell us all about Pogo Mini-Golf!
Pogo John: That’s really one of the great things we’re hoping for with this game! I’m partial to grape Jolly Ranchers, though. We want Pogoians to have the nostalgic feeling that they’re out at a mini golf course with this game.
In Pogo Mini-Golf you’ll be able to play through 12 courses at launch and go up against a variety of obstacles. You’ll notice that the game is set out in a forest, but in true mini golf fashion we will have courses that have special themes based on other Pogo games!
Pogo Llama: Can I replay levels that I’ve already won?
Pogo John: Yes! Once you’ve unlocked the levels you will be able to replay any level in the game. As an added bonus, once you’ve completed all objectives on the courses you will actually get to play the same courses in slightly different layouts. These different layouts will cycle as you replay levels so it will give you an extra challenge.
Pogo Llama: Is there any in-game currency and if so, how do you collect it?
Pogo John: There isn’t any in-game currency in Pogo Mini-Golf. We will have medals that you earn by completing objectives. As you earn more medals, you’ll unlock new courses to play.
Pogo Llama: How do you adjust the putter?
Pogo John: We have two different control types as well as a confirmation tool that can be turned on or off. The main way to play the game is by clicking on the ball and dragging backward. While holding the click you can adjust the strength and angle of your shot. Release the click to hit the ball. If you’d prefer to change things up though you can set the game to use push controls where you actually drag forward. If you’d like additional help with your aim, use the confirmation tool to help fine tune your shots.
Pogo Llama: Now be honest, how many hole-in-one’s have you made in a game?
Pogo John: Too many to count! Haha. Actually though there are a lot of really challenging levels in this game. I’ve played through every level, but there are still some levels that give me a hard time.
Pogo Llama: Is there anything else you’d like to share with our fellow Pogo community about Pogo Mini-Golf?
Pogo John: I’m really excited to see Pogo Mini-Golf out in the wild with players. This is a new and exciting title for us since it’s a bit different from our other titles. I’m looking forward to seeing how everyone likes it in the forums!
