Helpful Guide: How to Enable JavaScript

You’ve probably read a lot about Java on Pogo. You may have even heard of JavaScript. Unlike Java, JavaScript isn’t going anywhere. In fact, it plays a critical role in ensuring Pogo games work right.

To make sure you have a fully functional Pogo experience, you need to enable JavaScript in your browser. For most of you, JavaScript is probably already enabled. But if you’ve encountered JavaScript issues while using Pogo or other sites, you might need to enable it.

Read below to learn how to activate it across most browsers.

Chrome

  1. Click the “Customize and Control Google Chrome” icon (it looks like 3 dots stacked on top of each other) and select “settings.”
  2. Scroll down to the section called “Advanced.” If nothing appears below, you may need to click the word.
  3. Select “Site Settings.”
  4. Choose “JavaScript.”
  5. Change the setting to “Allowed.”
  6. You’re all set and ready to play!

Firefox

  1. In your address bar, type “about:config” and press the enter key
  2. If prompted, click the “I accept the risk!” button
  3. In the search box, type “javascript.enabled”
  4. Check to see that the value is “true.” If not, double click to toggle it
  5. You’re all set and ready to play!

Safari

  1. Click Safari on the menu located in the upper left and choose “Preferences”
  2. Select the “Security” tab
  3. Make sure the box next to “Enable JavaScript” is checked
  4. You’re all set and ready to play!

Edge

In the latest versions of Edge on Windows 10, JavaScript cannot be disabled, so you don’t have to do anything.
