A Cleaner, More Relaxing Gameplay Experience
To simplify gameplay and reduce distractions, we’ve removed the following boosters:
- Bookmark
- Undo
- Slow Time
These changes help keep the focus on strategy, flow, and the calming experience Mahjong Sanctuary is known for.
We’ve also introduced stronger new power-ups in the game to elevate your gameplay experience.
- Detective: 🔍 When activated, hover your cursor over tiles to detect partner tiles
- Clone: When activated, it transforms 4 other pairs of tiles to the tile you’ve selected for easy pairing.
- Lightning: Removes 3 open tiles on the board as well as its corresponding matching tile.
- Tidal Wave: A powerful wave that clears ALL open tiles and their pairs on the board.

Improved Board Visibility by Default
We’ve also enhanced the visual experience of every board. The visual effect previously tied to the Show Open power-up is now the default board visualization, making open tiles easier to identify at a glance.
