Hello Pogoians!

We’ve made it to the 99th edition of the Pogo Insider! So, yes, we’re going to party like it’s blog number 99! :D

What a week it has been! It has been very rainy and wet here in the Bay Area, making it the perfect time to stay dry while playing my favorite Pogo games (Poppit! Bingo and Crossword Cove). Although I may have a new favorite game now that Sweet Tooth Town will be available shortly!

As many of you are aware, the HTML 5 update to Trizzle is on the way here to Pogo and will arrive on Thursday, February 28. Have you seen the sneak peek photos of the new Trizzle? If not, click here to check it out in all its new glory!

And there’s more! Would you like to see a few photos from the upcoming Pogo Daily Sudoku? Of course you do so please click here!

Welcome to the Construction Zone! Here is where you will find the latest on game updates. What is currently “under construction” on Pogo? As often as I can, I’ll sit down with the Pogo team and get the latest info on which games are being worked on and what’s coming. I will always post more details when I have them available. Please understand updates are subject to change.

Please understand that unless an announcement comes directly from EA and/or Pogo, we cannot endorse it as true. All games and updates reported here in the Construction Zone have been given the “go ahead” and are on track to come out. Anything else that is reported is speculation right now.

Here’s some information about upcoming updates and changes from recent blog articles:

Tokens – As many of you are aware, the current token system will be replaced with a new awards system. As stated in a May 2018 blog, I, and the rest of the Pogo team, know this is a point of contention for some of you. For those of you for whom tokens provide a way to project status and achievement over time, we hear you and we understand your aversion to losing this status. Tokens in the current Flash and Java games will remain and will not be removed. We thank you for your understanding. Stay tuned for more information about the upcoming system.

Pogo recommendations and specifications for your computer have been updated as of August 14, 2018.  These are the recommended specifications for playing Pogo games smoothly on your computer. If you are experiencing loading issues, I strongly encourage you to check out the computer specifications listed. Having a compatible computer helps ensure the best possible Pogo experience!

Chat – We know a lot of you guys love chat and consider it a critical feature. We’re aware of the many requests for chat to be updated and to be returned to the side of the game screen. The team here is looking into it. I’ll give you an update as soon as I have one!

HTML 5 update to Trizzle

Every week I answer a non-technical question related to Pogo. We get lots of questions every week, so I try to focus on common themes or the same question coming from different folks. Please ask your non-technical related question in the comments section of the blog.

(For technical issues, please go to Pogo’s Help Page.)

Q. What are the most popular games on Pogo?
A.  Poppit! Bingo, Jet Set Solitaire, Quinn’s Aquarium, Tri-Peaks Solitaire, and Crossword Cove are currently the most popular with players.

Pogoains, I know you’re missing your Trizzle so please know that while the old Flash version has gone down, the new HTML 5 version will be up (in all its glory!) on Thursday, February 28. And then, you can party like it’s Pogo Insider Blog number 99!

Take good care and remember you matter and have what it takes to finish those Challenges!

Cheers,

Pogo Llama

  • Hi, Pogo Llama…any more info on the new system that will replace tokes yet? I am very interested in finding out what it is. Have an awesome week!

    • Heya Dragon,
I don’t have any further information on it. Thanks for asking and I hope you are also having an awesome weekend.

  • I want to start and say Love the new Sweet tooth Town game. thank POGO for the badges and contest keeping me busy and my mind off my pain from fibromyalgia as much as possible. TO MY POGO FAMILY THE LOVE THEY HAVE SHOWED ME FOR MY BIRTHDAY. Never had so many wish me happy birthday and from names I don’t recognize. Just from making mini’s. For all the gifts they sent me will keep me busy for awhile with the badges. POGO IS A GOD SEND FOR ME. THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR THE OUTPOUR OF LOVE. And to update on my mini win last Sunday. Never Give Up I will walk again. For the first time in 6 years. I was able to take more then just a few steps. I did the song Halleluiah Square and at the end. With the help of a dear friend and brother. I was able to take many many steps and walk back to my seat. And I will continue to improve . NEVER GIVE UP and as my new one YOU CAN’T STOP ME.

    • Hi TweetyMonkey,
Oh wow, happy birthday to you! What a day to celebrate and you were even able to have Sweet Tooth Town and Trizzle to play. Enjoy your birthday weekend, as well. :)

  • Pogo Llama: I am having trouble loading the new TRIZZLE. Every time I try this message comes up. ERROR: font will not load! Any ideas?

  • Pogo Llama: I had trouble loading the new Sweet Shop, but I went under MOZILLA FIRE FOX and now they both load. So sorry for any problems. thank you cougerxr71967

  • I am SO addicted to Sweet Tooth Town! I keep saying “just one more level, just one more level,” until I realized I’ve been saying that for an hour. I like that it’s fast-paced, but there’s no timer. I also like that the chocolate coins replenish through game play. The shopkeepers’ antics are funny, particularly those of the bakery owner who flips up her collar in disdain when you lose a level. Makes me laugh every time! The only problem is that playing with all these fun candies is making me crave real candy. This game is bad for my waistline, haha. Thank you so much, Pogo, for what I consider one of the best games you’ve come out with in recent memory!

    • Thank you so much for letting me know! And I love your statement that Sweet Tooth Town is bad for your waistline! ;)

  • Pogo Llama: this is my last one for today. Please tell every one at POGO including your self that this is the best game ever invented. Sweet Shop is awe some and really fun. Thank you and every one at POGO thank you for an awe some game! REALLY FUN TO PLAY.

  • Pogo Llama Don’t be upset with me but I love the Jet Set gifts but its no fun when you have only one airport game to play. I can’t go back to other countries. All
I can play is Hong Kong airport. It’s very boring. Is there any way to go back to other countries like San Fransisco etc.

    • Hi bvlady45,
You can click on the left or right arrows and then find SF by going all the way to the left and clicking on the small dots below the map. Please let me know if you need more information. Thank you for asking.

  • Dear Pogo_Llama,

In the Service update there is a list of Java and Flash games that are being discontinued in June. Question, does that that Java/Flash games not listed are being considered to be converted to HTML example Pogo Bowl, Crazy Cakes, Jungle Gin, Yahtzee, Dominoes…etc etc?

Could you please remind the Pogo staff that Pogo has a lot of fun games besides Jet Set Solitaire, Quinn’s Aquarium and Poppit Party, and Poppit Bingo for challenges and marathons. Variety indeed is the spice of life.

    Have a great day!

    • Hi Spurt,
As I’ve been saying, there’s always a chance. All I can say is to keep an eye on this blog. We post all game updates in the Construction Zone section of this Pogo Insider blog. When I hear of any games being transferred over to HD, I’ll definitely let you all know. Thanks so much for asking.

  • Will there be a similar version to Jigsaw Detective when you end it this summer?

    • Hi Synslady,
There’s always a chance. All I can say is to keep an eye on this blog. We post all game updates in the Construction Zone section of this Pogo Insider blog. When I hear of any games being transferred over to HD, I’ll definitely let you all know. Thanks so much for asking.

  • Hi!

PLEASE PLEASE UPDATE Fortune Bingo to HD or HTML5! Fortune Bingo may not be important to you, but there are many leagues in it (mine included). We love Fortune Bingo and have worked very hard to get our league up and running. I have been a Club Pogo member for years and am hearing that if Fortune Bingo and the other games retire, members will let their Club Pogo membership lapse!

I KNOW that there are a lot of games to update, but please reconsider updating some of the retired games! There are a lot of unhappy members and you may lose some in the pross.

Thank you for reading and your consideration.

    • Hi Kay,
Thank you for writing to let me know about the many leagues for Fortune Bingo. Have a good weekend and take good care.

  • I am really tired of the same challenges, Jet Set Solitaire, Quinn’s mahjong, Clare Hart. How about some challenges, with tri peak solitaire, Jungle Gin, Sudoko, Thank you.

  • I forgot to say I love the new games.. they are awesome..

  • Dear Pogo_Llama,

I have been a member for 13 years now, and I have to say that Pogo has come a very long way. I would like to know if you are going to add more levels to Poppit Bingo as I absolutely LOVE this game, as I think other Pogo members do as well. Thanks for your attention.

    • Howdy Awriter49,
Well thank you very much. What’s your current favorite game? I’m going to guess and say…Poppit! Bingo?!
Have you finished all the levels?

      • Hi Pogo_Llama,

Yes I have and can’t wait for more levels to arrive. Thanks for asking!

  • Are the comments reserved to US people only and only when they are ” nice ” ? Because, mine never appears and I never have answer !!!

    • HI Calou21,
We welcome comments from all Pogo players from every corner of this Earth. Thanks for dropping a line. :)

  • PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE don’t get rid of Canasta, Spades and other old fashioned games. They are the reason I became a Pogo member. Or don’t you care about us old fogeys? We love to play with other members and chat at the same time. Life will be very lonely without team games. Keeping my hopes up for now.

    • Hi Clik,
There’s always a chance. All I can say is to keep an eye on this blog. We post all game updates in the Construction Zone section of this Pogo Insider blog. When I hear of any of these games being transferred over to HD, I’ll definitely let you all know. Thanks so much for asking.

      • I love both Canasta and Spades also. Hope these games will always be available on POGO.

  • I see that a new Magic Marathon is starting on Tuesday. Please tell me there will be a button where we can just pay 1 amount and get all of the badges. It is a huge waste of time having to pick the 30 free badges 1 by 1, and then having to buy the next 30 badges, 1 by 1. I could have a badge done in the time it takes to shuffle and pick 60 times.

    Thanks!

    Suz

    • Hiya Suz,
Apologies for my delay in repose but as you can see by now there is not the requested option of purchasing all the badges. However…..oh yes…the team is aware of this and there are plans to make this happen.
Thank you and hope you’re having a good time with the Magic Marathon.

  • Hi Pogo Llama,

I notice your next post is your 100th
    Congrats well done
In all your post I’m looking forward to this one
such a amazing job you done here in Pogo Land.

    Donna ♥

  • Hi Pogo Llama

can you try to clear up something for me in the Sweet Tooth Town game? I am not understanding something ……
    =====================================================================

“Year-Round Live Events” in the How to Play Section!

I still have no idea how to “Stop by Town Hall” **often to discover new live event puzzles. We’re adding more all the time!”***

Well, I am Stopping by often, but, still have not been able to get into “Town Hall” , it is there, but nothing happens when I click on it
    =======================================================================

Thank You in advance , for getting any info about this

    • Howdy hi BJVS,
Thanks for reporting this. I talked to the Pogo team about it and the team is aware of the situation and are currently working to fix this.
Thanks again for playing and trying out Sweet Tooth Town.

  • I can’t wait for the 100th blog post!

  • MAKE KENO POP TO HD

  • Please don’t get rid of word whomp whackdown, my favourite game, play it every day. Love the friendly competition with players to be #1 on high score list. It entices you to keep playing, sometimes there are only a few points, separating #1 and #2 players.
Could it be made into a HD game, modernized?
I hope you can perform a miracle!
