Hello Pogoians,

Welcome to the October 23rd edition of the Pogo Insider. As always, I’m really happy you’re here and can’t wait for you to read all that is included in this blog.

We have a new voter poll and I’d love for you it! Cross Country Adventure, a new Hidden Object Game by the developers of Vanishing Trail and Grub Crawl, is slated to come out in November. Here’s the thing, I want to know which destination YOU are most excited to see so please take our player poll by clicking here to vote on which destination you’re most excited to see in Cross Country Adventure! Get a sneak peek of the destinations, too!

Did you know Tri-Peaks Solitaire HD AND Lottso! Express HD are available for you to play right now?!  I also had Pogo John and Pogo Clement sit down with me for a question and answer session about their respective games. Let’s jump right in, shall we?

Gobble Gobble! Did you just hear that turkey? It’s almost time for Pogo Bowl to have Turkey Pins! Keeping with the theme, Pogo Marshall designed a super fun and vibrant badge for an upcoming Pogo Bowl Challenge. Here’s what he had to say about it, “The challenge is to knock down 5 silver pins, so to give the badge a fun Thanksgiving flavor, let’s have a turkey kicking the pins over. I added a fun camera angle and some tilt to make it more dynamic and that is the badge.”

I hope you all enjoy this badge design and are looking forward to a new upcoming Challenge in Pogo Bowl. Who has a hankering for some turkey now?!

Welcome to the Construction Zone! Here is where you will find the latest on game updates. What is currently “under construction” on Pogo? As often as I can, I’ll sit down with the Pogo team and get the latest info on which games are being worked on and what’s coming. I will always post more details when I have them available. Please understand updates are subject to change.

Please understand that unless an announcement comes directly from EA and/or Pogo, we cannot endorse it as true. All games and updates reported here in the Construction Zone have been given the “go ahead” and are on track to come out. Anything else that is reported is speculation right now.

Upcoming events

Known Issues

H5 games using Safari on mobile/tablets – We’re currently in the process of updating Pogo games so that they’re more fully supported on mobile and tablets, and the functionality of Pogo on mobile/tablets with Safari is part of this; currently, it’s working as intended on Safari as we to adjust games and their mobile functionality.

Website updates

Pogo Expressions – Token pricing has been removed and any Expression which previously had a token price attached to it is now free!

Tokens – As many Pogoians may be aware of at this point, the current token system will be replaced with a new award system. As stated in a May 2018 blog, I, and the rest of the Pogo team, know this is a point of contention with some players. For those of you for whom tokens provide a way to project status and achievement over time, we hear you and we understand your aversion to losing this status.

Tokens in the current Flash and Java games will remain and will not be removed. Thank you for your understanding. Stay tuned for more information about the upcoming system for Challenges. As I noted in the “Coming Up” section above, we’ll be showing you more information about this starting in December so that you can all get a sneak peek of exactly what the new reward system has in store!

Safari 12 and Java – Please click here to read more about Safari’s latest update.

Java 11 and Internet Explorer 11 – Please click here to read more about Java’s latest update and what that means for Internet Explorer 11.

Pogo recommendations and specifications for your computer – The specs have been updated as of August 14, 2018.  These are the recommended specifications for playing Pogo games smoothly; please click here in order to find out more about these recommendations to help ensure that Pogo games run more smoothly on your computer.

New Pogo Sign-In Experience – The new Pogo sign-in experience has started the process of the second part of the two-step process.  Click here for the latest information and videos explaining three different scenarios a player may encounter.

Chat – An Insider question was answered in the last Pogo Insider regarding chat. To read it, please click here and then scroll down to the Insider Question section.

Q&A with Pogo Clement about Tri-Peaks Solitaire HD

Pogo Llama: Thank you for being a part of Blog #90 by sitting down and talking to us about Tri-Peaks Solitaire. I’d like to dig into the art direction on this game as I know a lot of really hard work and art dedication went into it. Can you talk about the art in this and how it differs from the Flash Tri-Peaks version? Also, What was the mindset when updating the graphics? I’m so glad to see Tex Carter returns!

Pogo Clement: Hello again, everyone! Yeah, we put in a lot of effort on the visuals indeed. If you look at the classic version, the environment colors are pretty dull. All are just sand, stones, rocks, like you’re in a desert, which is not quite as visually interesting. In the HD version, we put Tex Carter in a mysterious cave temple buried deep inside the Amazon Jungle. This gives us more space for creativity in choosing colors and adding details. Everyone in the team is very satisfied with the result, and we’re sure you folks will like it a lot!

Pogo Llama: I have Tri-Peaks HD open right now and I just saw Tex Carter take his hat off and scratch his head. I love this. Oh wait, now he’s stretching! I’m so glad to see Tex Carter returns!

Pogo Clement: You know, Tex Carter will be busying dodging traps. It’s very tiring, so a good stretch is much needed. Haha!

Pogo Llama: How does a player rank up in this new version?

Pogo Clement: You’ll need to collect Crystals to gain ranks. When you clear a peak you’ll get Crystals. You can also find Crystals in the chests.

Pogo Llama: What’s your number one most favorite feature of this new version?

Pogo Clement: The thing that I like to do when playing this game is turning on the audio and watching Tex Carter interact with the traps. Even if I lose it’s also very enjoyable to hear the way he screams…haha!

Pogo Llama: Question from Pogoian, betressa, “Will Tri-Peaks HD still have one free undo per hand? Will we still be able to win Amazonian Wild Cards in the HD edition”

Pogo Clement: Yes and yes. We’re still keeping a free undo per hand, and the Wild Card is still randomly distributed in the chests.

Pogo Llama: Question from, Katnipaz, “are any parts of the Tri-Peaks Update a carry over or inspiration from the downloadable (I believed titled Tri-Peaks 2: Quest for the Ruby Ring)?”

Pogo Clement: Not directly, although for the Art effort- we did research all of the various version of Tri-Peaks Solitaire we could get our hands on. We wanted to gather inspiration from the best of what the brand had to offer.

Pogo Llama: Thanks for answering questions about Tri-Peaks Solitaire HD. Is there anything else you’d like to say before closing?

Pogo Clement: I’m really excited about launching this game! It’s a beautiful game and I like it a lot. So far, it’s my favorite among all the HD remakes I’ve been working on. I hope you all like it too!

Q&A for Lottso! Express HD

Pogo Llama: Welcome to your first ever Pogo Insider Q&A, Pogo John! Please introduce yourself to the Pogo Community.

Pogo John: Thanks for having me! My name is Pogo John and I’m one of the producers here at Pogo.com. I recently joined the team, and I’m excited to see the launch of my first project.

Pogo Llama: Welcome, Pogo John, we’re mighty happy to have you here. Now, please tell us all about working on Lottso! Express HD. What was it like? As you started playing the Java version first and transitioned into the new version, what can you say about the differences?

Pogo John: The first thing you’ll notice when you play Lottso! Express HD is the updated graphics. As we’ve transitioned the game into HTML5 we’ve made optimizations to the art and animation but have tried to retain as much of the original game play as possible.

Pogo Llama: I am so grateful to hear that the original game play is still the same because it was the best part of Lottso! Express, of course. Let’s talk about these Scratchers! They are so cool! You recently showed me the Mega Lottso Card and I think it’s glorious and super fun to look at. Can you explain the art direction behind the game and what did the art team keep in mind when creating the new art?

Pogo John: Yeah, the art for the Mega Lottso card is really cool! One of my favorite aspects of Lottso! is the love we show to other Pogo games. This HD update is no exception. The art team wanted to keep this aspect of the game and add in some shout-outs to new HTML 5 games that have been released since there have been many. Also, since we’ve made the upgrade to HTML 5 we’re able to have this cool new effect that brings the scratchers toward the screen so you can see the art close up.

Pogo Llama: Some of my favorite parts about Lottso! Express HD include: 1. The music, it reminds me of my early Nintendo playing days. 2. The animation of the balls being mixed up. How does a player make that happen?

Pogo John: Yes the music and sound effects are definitely reminiscent of the classic 8-bit era of gaming, and we’ve definitely brought some of those effects back in addition to some new sounds. The animation is pretty cool too. It gives you the feeling you’re in a casino or waiting for lottery numbers to be announced. One feature that we’ve added as icing on the cake is that you can now make the tumbler spin with your mouse. Just click and drag on the Keno tumbler and you can control the direction of the animation.

Pogo Llama: What is your very favorite part about Lottso! Express HD?

Pogo John: My favorite part has to be when you hit a Mega Lottso! chain. It’s really exciting when you reach the top  of the scratcher pyramid and you have no idea whether or not you’ll choose the right scratcher to re-start the card.

Pogo Llama: Have you made any changes to the scoring in this game, or what’s given away as you play?

Pogo John: We have. As you know, tokens will not be given away in Lottso , but we have two new things we’ve added to make things a little different. The most significant thing is that we’ve added a special feature for Club players: they’ll be given 6 extra balls to start with, so they can keep playing a little longer! That’s a big help, as you rank up by placing balls so you’ll want to take advantage.

The scoring’s also a bit different, as we’ve added a score multiplier. We wanted to make it more fun to play through all rounds of Lottso, so the longer you play, the more of a score multiplier you can get.

Pogo Llama: How many balls will non-Club players be starting off with??

Pogo John: Most players will start the game with 30 balls. 6 in the rack, and 24 in the line -up. The extra six balls is just a way of showing a little extra love to Club Pogo players!

Pogo Llama: Well that is very good to know! Thank you for sitting down with me today and answering questions about Lottso! Express HD. Do you have anything else you’d like to say before you head out of the studio?

Pogo John: Thank you for having me. It’s been great getting to chat about Lottso! I’m looking forward to working on more games here at Pogo and getting to know our fans in the community.

Every week I answer a non-technical question related to Pogo. We get lots of questions every week, so I try to focus on common themes or the same question coming from different folks. Please ask your non-technical related question in the comments section of the blog.

(For technical issues, please go to Pogo’s Help Page.)

Q. Has it already been decided which games are being converted? In other words, is the list basically “set in stone”? Or is it an ongoing thing and not everything has been decided yet? Again, I just mean in general, I’m not asking for a final list or anything. I’m just curious about the process!

A. There are some games that have already been decided upon and then there are games that have not so the answer is it is an ongoing process, and one that takes a great deal of thought and strategy. The process of selecting converted games includes a mix of things such as historical data, gaming trends, and player popularity. The team must also be sure the game can technical convert over. For example, some players have been wondering if we’ll be converting table games such as Canasta and Bridge to HD. The answer to this is: The reason games with lobbies are not currently converted is due to needing the technology to make it so. These are known as multiplayer games and we’re working on the technology for that. Once this work is complete, we can start on converting those games over. Thank you for your question and I hope this has provided some insight into our process of game selection.

Thank you for reading the Pogo Insider. I hope you enjoyed the content. Please let me know if you have any content-requests for upcoming Pogo Insiders. If you have a (non-technical) comment or question, please leave it below.

Always remember, YOU matter!

Cheers,

Pogo Llama

Lottso – What music? I have sound but there is no music.

Keep working on chat changes – Thanks

    • Hi Cyndo,
So glad you’re enjoying the new games, thanks for giving them a go. Lottso has pretty cool sound effects. I suppose it’s not technically called “music” as it doesn’t play all the time, only during certain moves.
      Take good care.

  • I was just playing Clair Hart HD and couldn’t get to a new episode from the game and I thought they really need a new game button here. Lo and behold you must have read my mind because it was in your blog post. I’m voting for YES keep it and I haven’t even tried it yet. Thank you

    • Thanks for the feedback, insuranceguru!

    • SO funny u mentioned that, I used it today for 1st time, and i was like was this always here. lol so convenient specially when going for the new limited edition badge…:)

  • It is really nice to see the cheaters that were causing problems in certain games has been addressed. Thank you for all the new free badges for everyone that has been loyal and true to Pogo. Granted was a pain for Pogo to EA. I am sure that older folks that do not know how to are probably very disappointed. My question is… Is there more games to play from EA besides Pogo? Good luck all Pogoians in games.

    • Hello troppertjj,
I’m happy you’re enjoy the new free badges here on Pogo. The answer to your question is yes, there are more games on EA than Pogo. If you click here, you will be taken to EA and can explore the games there. Thank you.

  • Pogo llama i am so excited about all the challenges coming up. Also I LOVE LOVE the new Tri-Peaks. it is fantastic. THANK you guys for all you do.

    • Im not understanding the rules well for the new Quest now. Do we play just the one challenge or do we play both including the one for 50 gems for the week. or just one or the other ?

      • Hi bvlady45,
You can choose between playing the Trizzle Badge or the Jungle Gin Badge this week. The Trizzle Badge is free and Jungle Gin is 50 Gems. Thank you for asking.

    • You’re most welcome, BVlady!

  • Good afternoon Pogo_Llama

I tried Lottso! Express HD. I was never a fan of the game. I preferred Lottso! over Lottso! Express.

I’m still not a fan of Lottso! Express, but I did like the graphics and the smoothness of the game. Two criticisms I have are:

    1. When you scratch a card, the card moves to the center of the screen and is closer. Then the player must “X” out of the card once it is scratched to continue with the game. Is it possible to have the card close out automatically a few seconds after the card has been scratched?

    2. I created a Mega Lottso card towards the end of the game. I just had a few balls left, 2 or 3, when I filled the card. Once I scratched the card, the game ended immediately. I wasn’t given the opportunity to see how the score I received on the card added to my total score. It just ended and left me with the feeling I had missed something. Would it be possible to show the score being added to a players total so that they don’t feel like they missed out on something?

In regards to Tri-Peaks, again this is a game that never really appealed to me. I love the graphics and the animation. It was fun to watch. I also like the idea of ranking up by finding crystals rather then by collecting artifacts in the final box. This game played smoothly for me, too.

Neither game will ever be a favourite, but it will be nice to have more games in the challenge rotation.

  • When I first started with Pogo many long years ago the first time, probably 2007, I bought a game Word Riot Deluxe. Everyone loved it! I paid about $19.00 for it. The downside is, even though still see it on here, it is impossible to play with robots. And finally no one played it anymore. PLEASE oh PLEASE get it back and with option of playing with Robots or people. Best most fun game on here, and that’s saying a lot. But most of us are disabled, elderly and alone. SO I would really appreciate it and a comment about it as well. Thank you very much!

    • Thank you for your game request, PlayNightingale7.

    • THat was and still is my absolute favorite game….i have looked and searched every platform..nothing even similar to it..I misss it so much. and yes no one plays download.

  • The last challenge I finished it in 11 days. Not bad for having stress test on heart and heart Cath done during that time. Love the look of the Pogo Badge. Have ranked out in there 3 times. Love that game. Looking forward to the challenge.

  • would love to have some input on what your plans are for the tournaments..are you planning to do away with them ….or add new games. Please, just acknowledge the question and not side step it…thank you…susiesue777

    • Hi Susie,
As I’ve been saying, Flash games will not continue to be in the current version of Pogo’s Tournaments. I do not have any further information on Tournaments at this time, but when I do, I’ll let you all know. I realize you’d like more information than that, but I really do not have that available right now. Thank you for understanding.

  • I know you are converting many of the games current token system to a new reward system.

Are you going to take into account each players current token balance so the conversion will be fair to all players.

    • Hello CDavid,
Thank you for your suggestion. The team does value player feedback and I will pass this along to them.

  • thanks to ea for helping me transition to my account

    • You’re very welcome, Etiny7! I thank you for reaching out to Customer Support when you had a problem. They really are the best way to get help when having an issue. Have a great week!

  • I love the new games, and updates.
As more and more of the games change, the tournament choices get smaller and smaller, and participating becomes much less fun. Is there any plan to either update or just remove the tournaments? Thanks. Happy fall :)

    • Hi Tinott,
I’m so glad you’re enjoying the new games and updates. Thank you for playing them.
As for Tournaments, Flash games will not continue to be in the current version of Pogo’s Tournaments. I do not have any further information on Tournaments at this time, but when I do, I’ll let you all know. Happiest of fall to you, too!

  • I LOVE the new Tri Peaks Solitaire game. It was always one of my favorite, but this even better to play now that it is HD. Please give my thanks and a great job to the people involved in making this game even better. I also want to say thank you again for the upcoming Autumn Odyssey Challenge Quest. It looks like it is going to be a lot of fun. Thank you to you and the staff at Pogo for keeping Pogo the fun place to play and meet some great friends.

    • Hiya barryandlinda20,
I definitely will give my thanks to the team from you. But really, thank YOU for playing and participating in Pogo. :)

  • I just tried Tri-Peaks HD, and my only complaint is the bang with each card that is played. It is jarring; and although I prefer to have the sound on for this game, I had to turn it off.

  • I feel that pogo is making every game in HD, I am not happy with this as I always liked
the social aspect of this website!!

    • Hi giggles,
Yes, Pogo is going to continue to create games in HD. For more information on that, please click here.
I totally agree that Pogo is a social site and we definitely encourage that. Chat does still work in the HD games. An Insider question was answered in the last Pogo Insider regarding chat. To read it, please click here and then scroll down to the Insider Question section.Thank you.

      • I totally like the new HD games. The screens being larger is very nice. I go to pogo to play the games and don’t miss the chat area. If I want to socialize I will go to Facebook. Please do not make the screens smaller just for chat.

  • So did you anyone mention Tri-Peaks was ending? I kept reading it was coming with no date. If I missed it, I apologize for my anger (and I am a bit teed off) as I was in the middle of a badge.

    • Hello Amber,

Thank you for your question before getting you get too upset.

I did post a blog article in August stating Tri-Peaks HD would be coming and replacing the Flash Tri-Peaks. You can read that article here. That same announcement has also been listed in the Construction Zone of the Pogo Insider since then as well.
Also, in the Flash version of Tri-Peaks, there was a yellow banner at the top of the game that did announce this was happening.

I do hope you give the new Tri-Peaks HD a go. Thanks again for your question.

  • Good to hear multiplayer games like canasta, dice city and the original lottso will eventually be converted in good time. This made my day! Thanks

  • Hi pogo Llama I thought the new PBA would be out by know thought it would have been today when will it come out I buy all the PBA Thank You

    • Hi Connie,
It will be out soon. I’m unable to provide specific dates but it will be coming.

  • hooked on both new games. love both. thanks.

    • Hi Watergirl,
LOVE hearing this. Have a super fun week here in Pogo. It may be hard to choose which game to play next! :)

  • I’m really having fun playing Tri-Peaks Solitaire HD. Love the graphics! A fellow player mentioned that they thought our ranks from the old version would carry over. I figured that since it’s a new version that we would have to start over (much like with Word Whomp and others).

Now I will be moving over to the new Lottso! Express. Fun times! :)

    • Hello mnstrtrx4me,
Ooooh how I love hearing that you are enjoying the new Tri-Peaks! Yay!
You are correct in that the ranks from the old games are not carried over to the new one.
Enjoy the new games this week!

  • Good Afternoon Llama,
I must say, with all the turkey talk above I had to make myself a turkey sandwich for lunch today. I opened another window to check out Tri-peaks HD. Unfortunately I’m on IE so everything was scrambled so I’ll have to get back to you on the “new” looks.
The one thing I noticed was under Chat Rooms, there are no longer different age group rooms. As more and more Flash and Java games are made into HD/HTML5 games will that no longer be an option?

    Thank You
    Take Care
    Rich

    • Hello BKP,
How was your turkey sammy? Sounds good, especially if you had some pickles with it.
I’ll see what’s up with the chat rooms for the HD games. Thanks for asking.

  • Hi Llama – another great blog, I don’t know how you do it!
I’ve been wondering about regular Lottso? Any word on that? I have what I know is a personal problem – I’ve hated Bingo since I was in my 20’s lol that’s a very long time! I realize I’m probably the majority of 1 lol

Keep up the good work, Llama!

    duffer755

    • Hiya Duffer,
Well thanks very much, I certainly appreciate you reading. Regarding Lottso, the reason games with lobbies are not currently being converted is due to needing the technology to make it so. These are known as multiplayer games and we’re working on the technology for that. Once this work is complete, we can start on converting those games over. Thanks for writing in.

  • Is Pinochle ever going to come back? I hate having to go to a different site to play.

    • Hi granny,
The reason games Pinochle, and other lobby games have not yet been converted is due to needing the technology to make it so. These are known as multiplayer games and we’re working on the technology for that. Once this work is complete, we can start on converting those games over. Thanks for your question and for enjoying Pinochle.

  • Please pass on kudos for Quinn’s Aquarium. At first, I struggled, but am now more comfortable. Recently, I went to an aquarium and much to my surprise; there has been a lot of work and research put into developing the dialogues. Again, thanks and kudos!

    • Hi SKIP2647,
Thank you so much for giving Quinn’s a try and recognizing the hard work the team put into it. I’ll forward this along and they will have smiles on their faces. Enjoy your week here in Pogo and have a fun time.

  • Still hoping you’ll put a jigsaw puzzle game in HD as well as Penguin Blocks. They’re not multi-player games and would add some variety to the games list.

    • Hello swedestich,
Thank you for the suggestions for games!

      • I’d love to see Jigsaw Detective converted. I love it, but it just won’t play anymore for me. And Penguin Blocks, too! It’s a great puzzle/strategy game, of which you don’t really have many.

        • I am still hoping for hangman hijinks, shuffle bump, and stellar sweeper to name a few games I’d like upgraded.

  • Would love to see Halloween Town from Poppit Bingo as a background for Mini’s. That game just keeps getting better and better. When I started playing I wan’t sure I would like it. Now I have to time myself so I can play other POGO games! Keep up the good work on the HD.

    • Hi ma_eskew,
Congratulations on getting to Halloween Town in Poppit! Bingo as that is no small feat. Putting a time limit may be a good thing so you can play the other Pogo games, haha! Not a bad idea at all. You have yourself a fun and great week here in Pogo.

  • Hi! I Love the look of the Pogo Bowl Badge. But the thing is Turkey’s are not “blue”. Blue is my favorite color, but like I said I love the looks of the badge. I wonder if that Turkey got a Strike, hmm LOL. I tried Lottso Express and loved it & already got Rank 1 in my first game. I also tried Tri-Peaks and like it. I have 3 things I like about the game. 1 – Tex is handsome, 2 – It is fun and like the sound effects! And 3 – I love Tex’s new movements. What I don’t like about it is there is not a lot of cards as the old version did and the new look of the snake, I like the old version of the snake. I also miss the coins going up to the peaks. I am looking forward to the First Class Solitaire HD, but I hope I will enjoy it more than the version we have now. What I mean by that is I hope we can shuffle the cards in the HD version because we can’t now. Shuffling the cards would help.

    • Hi Dolphingirl,
Thank you so much for your feedback on the Pogo Bowl Badge, First Class, Lottso! Express, and Tri-Peaks. Tex sure does have some sweet new moves, doesn’t he?! Glad you’re enjoying it all. Have a great week.

  • hopefully Pinochle will be on the list to convert? its one of my favorites

  • When is Pogo going to add more levels to Letters From Nowhere, Mahjong Safari. Please don’t take away the original version of Claire Hart I don’t like the new version at all I bought a lot of the original levels and I really enjoy them.

    Sincerely,
    dorning1p

    • Hello Doring,
I have great news for you as Mahjong Safari will be converting to HD very soon. Please click here for more information on that.
Regarding Claire Hart, that will be converted over to HD and called Claire Hart Classic. All of the episodes that you have purchased in the Flash version of Claire Hart: Soul Searcher will be owned by you in Claire Hart Classic. I’ll be giving you more details as the release date approaches.

Letters from Nowhere will not be getting more levels added to it. Thank you for asking and for playing Pogo.

  • love love the Triple Peaks and Lottso. The are bright and Fast and you don’t have topay money/gems to continue on in the game.BRAVO

    • Hello Cookielady03,
Thanks for playing the newly released Tri-Peaks and Lottso Express! Super happy you’re enjoying them. Have a fun week.

  • Thank you for repeating the Clue writers’ view!!!
    Very Interesting.
    Thanks,
    Charpril

  • Many of us are having problems with our new sign-in working fine on PCs, but not on mobile devices. Will there be a patch or a redo or some way to use our mobile devices?

  • I looked forward to Monday morning knowing that there would be Clue. Please, please bring Clue back.

    • Hi gmwphoto,
Thank you for being such a fan of the game CLUE on Pogo. It means a lot that you enjoy it so much.
On July 9th, we announced we would not be updating CLUE with new episodes, but, the game will still be available to play. Please click here to read that article. Thank you.

  • When tokens disappear, are they going to be replaced with the “crystals” we are getting in the new Tri-Peaks?

    • Hello SilentVulcan210,
We’ll be providing a look into the new system sometime in December. However, the crystals in Tri-Peaks HD are not going to be part of that new system. Thank you for asking.

      • My question is if we are getting rid of tokens what will we use in the poker games like “No Limit Texas Hold’em”?

        • Hi ArlainaM859,
No worries there as we’re not removing tokens from the Flash games they are currently in. So Texas Hold’em is fine as long as the Flash technology remains available. Thank you.

  • I really love POGO. It keeps me going on some of the days when I’m not up to doing much of anything else due to handicaps. But sitting at my computer, playing POGO helps me to put the pain aside and have a lot of fun. Thanks to POGO, I have new and old friends to chat with, and plenty of games to play. One drawback that I’m having right now is the tournament. I joined it when it first started and have been playing it every day. But, it takes up so much time to keep the games in the gold, and there are so many other challenge games and regular games to play that I feel disloyal to my teammates if I don’t spend the most time on the tournaments. I know everyone has been asking, but is it a possibility at all that the tournament games will soon stop so we can concentrate more on all of the other games especially the ones that have converted. Thanks for any answer you can give to that.

    • Hello billysmom15,
Happy Wednesday to you and thank you for sharing your story with me. I’m really happy to have you here and that Pogo is providing an outlet for you.
Unfortunately, I do not have any further information on Tournaments at this time, but when I do, I’ll let you all know. I realize you’d like more information than that, but I really do not have that available right now. I appreciate your feedback and hope you have a really great day.

  • Hi..was just wondering if you will be making Canasta an HD game? I love that card game. My friend and I play everyday for at least 2 hrs. We enjoy it very much. Gives us a chance to catch up with each other on a daily basis as she is in NJ and I am in AZ.

    • Howdy mrsawiggens56,
What a wonderful way to spend time with a friend! Thank you for sharing that with me as I love hearing that Pogo is providing that fun outlet for you both. You two must be Canasta pros. :)
Canasta is on the list of games Pogo would like to bring over to HD. However, Canasta is a lobby game and the reason games with lobbies haven’t been converted yet is due to needing the technology to make it so. These are known as multiplayer games and we’re working on the technology for that. Once this work is complete, we can start on converting those games over. Thanks for writing in.

  • I would like to know, that if you do away with tokens–how are we going to be able to play games. Games like Texas Hold’Em and Boggle??

    • Hi Mry00509,
No worries there as we’re not removing tokens from the Flash games they are currently in. So games such as Texas Hold’em and Boggle are fine as long as the Flash technology remains available.

  • I would like to see some nice mini items for winter. I would like to have the long fur coat that was out a couple of years ago. Are mini items going to be in the mall on certains times, such as every Thursday as in the past?

    • Thank you for your request, girdienadine. I’ll make sure to forward that along. The next Mini Mall update will be in November. Have a great week here in Pogo.

  • Omgosh, love love love the new Tri-Peaks Solitaire in HD!!!

  • Happy Fall Pogo Llama !!! I LOVE the turkey badge, I can’t wait to earn it. You asked me in the last blog which games I enjoy. I LOVE Mahjong Escape and Garden, Word Whomp, Tumble Bees, Spades and a lot of Java games that I can’t play anymore. A long time ago I deleted Java intending to upgrade it and then my laptop wouldn’t allow me to. I had 2 sons and granddaughter try also but no one could get it to load, so that is why I have badges I bought that I couldn’t do. I hope some day that Pogo will let me earn them by doing a challenge in games I can do. It’s not Pogo’s fault, it’s mine. I HATE all Solitaire games and only play for challenges. I did so want to earn the Jaguar badge for rank 30 in Tri-Peaks but I’m only at rank 25 after 13 yrs. and I needed to reach rank 30 to get it. Would you please ask the team for me if I could buy the badge? I LOVE animals, flowers and nature and would love to be able to purchase it. Thanks so much for your interesting blogs, I look forward to them. Thanks to the Pogo team !!!

    • Hi pawneespirit33,
Happy fall to you, too. Thanks for your response and what a nice mix of games you enjoy.
I hope you have a really great week.

  • G’day Pogo_Llama…..can you please tell me how to re-reply?
I replied to a poster in the last blog and asked you a question, but you asked me a question back and I couldn’t re-reply.
There was no button like the ‘reply’ or ‘report comment’ to click on.
In case you can find it, you asked me what browser I use. My answer is mostly Firefox. I use Google Chrome when I can’t load a game in Firefox, but that’s not all that often. (I don’t really like using Chrome as i can’t get sound.)
    Thanks in advance. :-)

    • Hi wsimari01,
I believe what happened is you came back to comment on the blog after comments had been shut off. No worries, it wasn’t anything on your end.

  • we want word whomp whackdown… please!

  • Isn’t there any way you can change these games to HD but still leave chat intact> We left world class to go to 1st class so we could chat, and now you’re changing that to HD. I do not like playing when we can’t chat. Some of us have been on here chatting for 15 years, and we do not want to lose our friends, Please, please, please! HELP, HELP, HELP!! SOS, SOS, SOS

    • Hello Hangelpoot2,
I totally agree that Pogo is a social site and we definitely encourage that. Chat does still work in the HD games. If you are unable to load chat in the HD games, please remember to enable Flash as the chat is Flash-based.
An Insider question was answered in the last Pogo Insider regarding chat. To read it, please click here and then scroll down to the Insider Question section.Thank you.
