Happy October, Pogoians!

Tumble Bees, Tumble Bees, Tumble Bees is here! Click here and go have yourself some fun!

Fall is here and I do miss the fresh fall air of Wisconsin this month. Last week, I went for a fall hike on Mount Hood in the Portland, Oregon area. The trees were just starting to change colors and I thought of those of you, Pogoians, who may be experiencing this beautiful weather. Here’s a picture I took with you all in mind.

Lottso Express will be here and ready to play on Pogo on Tuesday, October 23rd! Here’s a Sneak Peek of what you’ll be able to experience in just a few short weeks. The scratch cards are really well done and if you look, you can see Cap’n Pinchers in there!

Welcome to the Construction Zone! Here is where you will find the latest on game updates. What is currently “under construction” on Pogo? As often as I can, I’ll sit down with the Pogo team and get the latest info on which games are being worked on and what’s coming. I will always post more details when I have them available. Please understand updates are subject to change.

Please understand that unless an announcement comes directly from EA and/or Pogo, we cannot endorse it as true. All games and updates reported here in the Construction Zone have been given the “go ahead” and are on track to come out. Anything else that is reported is speculation right now.

Upcoming events

Autumn Odyssey – A unique new Challenge is coming soon. This will be a seasonal event that will start at the end of October and run for one month. This will be different than the Magic Marathon, however! Keep your eyes on the blog for more informational articles as the end of October approaches.

Game Updates

Jewel Academy – New levels out now! Click here to play.

Jet Set Solitaire – Out today! We love just how excited players are about this game – which is why we’re focused on adding more and more fun locations to the game! But as we’ve done that,  the map has become, well, a bit too crowded! (Don’t worry, they’re working on updating that and a few other things – details coming soon!). So, with the release that went out overnight, players will not be able to access the first map of San Francisco and the last map of Miami by using the dot at the bottom of the screen. Instead, players must use the arrows to access all of the maps. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Please see images for reference.

New Games

Tumble Bees HD – Out now! Click here to play.

Lottso Express HD – Slated for later October.

Tri-Peaks Solitaire HD – Slated for late October.

Claire Hart Classic – Slated for December.  (This was originally reported to be November but now pushed back to December). With Claire Hart Classic, all of the episodes that you have purchased in the Flash version of Claire Hart: Soul Searcher will be owned by you in Claire Hart Classic! We’ll be giving you more details as the release date approaches.

Mahjong Safari HD – Slated for December

First Class Solitaire HD – Slated for December

Also, a new Hidden Object Game by the developers of Vanishing Trail and Grub Crawl is slated for November. More details on that game coming soon!

Known Issues

Turbo 21 – In the bonus round, the timer starts before the cards appear. This has been fixed with last night’s update.
H5 games using Safari on mobile/tablets – We’re currently in the process of updating Pogo games so that they’re more fully supported on mobile and tablets, and the functionality of Pogo on mobile/tablets with Safari is part of this; currently, it’s working as intended on Safari as we to adjust games and their mobile functionality.

Website updates

September Game of the Month- Thank you to all who participated in September’s Game of the Month, Crossword Cove, and we sincerely hope you all had a great time with it. If you completed all four of the gift badges before 11:59pm PDT on September 30, 2018, you’ll have qualified for a bonus Game of the Month badge.  The completion badge for that will be sent out this week.

Pogo Expressions – Token pricing has been removed and any Expression which previously had a token price attached to it is now free!

Tokens – As many Pogoians may be aware of at this point, the current token system will be replaced with a new award system. As stated in a May 2018 blog, I, and the rest of the Pogo team, know this is a point of contention with some players. For those of you for whom tokens provide a way to project status and achievement over time, we hear you and we understand your aversion to losing this status.

Tokens in the current Flash and Java games will remain and will not be removed. Thank you for your understanding. Stay tuned for more information about the upcoming system for Challenges. As I noted in the “Coming Up” section above, we’ll be showing you more information about this starting in December so that you can all get a sneak peek of exactly what the new reward system has in store!

Safari 12 and Java – Please click here to read more about Safari’s latest update.

Java 11 and Internet Explorer 11 – Please click here to read more about Java’s latest update and what that means for Internet Explorer 11.

Pogo recommendations and specifications for your computer – The specs have been updated as of August 14, 2018.  These are the recommended specifications for playing Pogo games smoothly; please click here in order to find out more about these recommendations to help ensure that Pogo games run more smoothly on your computer.

New Pogo Sign-In Experience – The new Pogo sign-in experience has started the process of the second part of the two-step process.  Click here for the latest information and videos explaining three different scenarios a player may encounter.

Chat – An Insider question was answered in the last Pogo Insider regarding chat. To read it, please click here and then scroll down to the Insider Question section.

Pogo Insider Q&A with Pogo Terry about ….Tumble Bees!

Pogo Llama: Welcome back to the Pogo Insider studios, Pogo Terry. I’m excited to talk all-things Tumble Bees HD! (Btw, Pogoians, click here to check out the new Tumble Bees HD as it was just released today!) LINK. My first question is something I just really want to know….How long have you been working on bringing Tumble Bees HD to the Pogo masses?

Pogo Terry: Hello to all in Pogo! The Pogo team has been developing Tumble Bees HD for about five months now and they have been very excited to get this classic gem of a game into our players hands.

Pogo Llama: Well, I have a question from one of those excited players! These questions are from Katnipaz who asked, “Will the music be similar to the originals? Will Boogie Bear’s antics still be there? What features will set Tumble Bee’s HD apart from its predecessor other than improved graphics?”

Pogo Terry: Much like a lot of our HTML5 remakes, we try to keep as much with the original game as we can so no new features have been added. Sometimes we’ll run into a few minor details where we feel something could use some quality of life improvements to improve the player experience, so we’ll make some adjustments. For Tumble Bees HD, all of the same gameplay and music is intact and Boogie Bear’s antics are still there in fun ways. Our animators also gave all the characters more life and the graphics look more vibrant than before.

Pogo Llama: As you just worked on a Pogo classic, Poppit! HD, what was it like to work on another Pogo classic, Tumble Bees?

Pogo Terry: It was a great experience working with the team on this game. What I love about Tumble Bees are the characters, so we wanted to make sure they looked even better and had more character in the updated version.

Pogo Llama: You just read my mind, Pogo Terry, as I wanted to talk about the art for Tumble Bees. I’ve been watching the art development for Tumble Bees these last few months and I know the Pogo art team put their heart and souls into this. Can you discuss the art direction for Tumble Bees? I’ve noticed Boogie Bear had an updated look and I really like it!

Pogo Terry: As we had to update the game to work with HTML5 we needed to update the graphics and some animations. Much like a lot of our recent HD games, we have a higher color palette to work with now, so the game can look overall more vibrant and colorful. Our team also had a fantastic animator who knew how beloved Boogie Bear was and did an amazing job capturing Boogie’s look and personality. Boogie Bear has been updated, but his spirit remains for sure – just as it does with our friend, Kiki the Bee!

Pogo Llama: Thanks for explaining that, Pogo Terry. I realize that with these updates comes a lot of changes and it’s great to see the why and how the process works. Next question, when you’re playing Tumble Bees HD, what do you find to be the most fun?

Pogo Terry: Oh! It’s hands down when filling that honey jar up and watching Boogie Bear’s hungry reaction. It always amuses me! Gameplay wise, I love getting a lot of green and blue jelly to create a crazy chain reaction.

Pogo Llama: I love it. I can’t wait to see what our fellow Pogoians love the most about the HD version of Tumble Bees. Thanks so much for stopping by Pogo Terry. Now, please, go take some time to relax. Two games back to back is no small feat, but we, the Pogo Community, certainly do appreciate all your super hard work.

Pogo Terry: No problem and thanks to you and all our Pogo players for all your support! We truly wouldn’t be doing this without you all. All our teams have been working so hard and we love what we do. We also love all the feedback and ideas. While I’d love to take some time to relax and find a nice vacation spot with a swim-up bar – unfortunately I’m already moving onto the next game. And we’re really super excited to talk about it …when the time is ready. 😊

Every week I answer a non-technical question related to Pogo. We get lots of questions every week, so I try to focus on common themes or the same question coming from different folks. Please ask your non-technical related question in the comments section of the blog.

(For technical issues, please go to Pogo’s Help Page.)

Q. I’m having a hard time with some of the Challenges. Where can I go to for tips and help?
A. The Pogo forums! Honestly, that’s the best places for tips on games and that includes any Challenges and Events. I just took a look through the forums right this minute and there are forum threads for tips on Jewel Academy level 138 and there’s even a thread entitled “How to win in Quinn’s” that is very helpful.

If you have a question about a challenge, please go to the Pogo forums, read through them to see if your question has already been asked, and if not, make a post.

The Pogo Community is really one of the best and most helpful communities out there. I love it and am proud to be a part of it. Have fun and happy Pogo-ing!

Here’s a call for questions on Tri-Peaks HD and Lottso! Express HD! I’ll be sitting down with a few of the fellows on the Pogo team and would love to have them answer your questions about those two upcoming games. Please submit your questions for Tri-Peaks HD and Lottso! Express HD below and you may see your question answered by the Pogo team.

Reminder: You have until Friday, October 19, 2018, to complete the Magic Marathon! You can click here to read more information about that event. Have fun!

Also, and because I just had breakfast, waffles or pancakes?! I love pancakes with bananas and walnuts BUT I also love waffles with strawberries and whipped cream. So I’m curious, which is it you prefer, or do you enjoy both or neither? Take my very exciting poll on that by clicking here.

Thank you for reading the Pogo Insider. I really appreciate you being here and can’t wait to read your comments.

Take good care and remember that you matter.

  • Hi Pogo_Llama, I was wondering if Backgammon is going to become a HD game and if so when?

    • Hi alleyoop,
If I have any updates on Backgammon being converted to HD, I will let you all know in the Construction Zone. Have a good week.

  • One of the things I loved about Word Whomp was seeing my progress after every game. I tried to get 500-1000 points at a time. With the new HD version, there is no hourly or daily rankings, no accumulation of points shown, and no interaction with other players. Makes it a whole different (and not nearly as enjoyable) experience for me! I hope there is an update soon that puts some of the “fun” back.

  • I would like to see a marathon with just older games and not all these new games, as would some of the other older members I have met over the years in Pogo.

  • will there be more halloween minis Miss.Llama?

    • Hi CometShower,
There will not be a Halloween Amazing Mini this year. Thank you for asking.

  • First, thank so much for always trying to answer EVERY question and provide feedback on every comment, Pogo_Llama, that’s really awesome :)

Tumble Bees and Poppit turned out AMAZING. The teams who worked on these did great and I love how nearly every aspect of the originals in the same, with updated graphics.
I’d have to agree with others though that Word Whomp missed the mark a bit.

However, with the last two releases, it makes me even more excited for more HD upgrades! I have my fingers crossed for Squelchies, Thousand Island, and Penguin Blocks…just to name a few!

    • Hello CuddleBearJay,
Thank you for your comment. I love this blog and really do try my best to answer all the comments that I can.
Have a great week and upcoming weekend.

  • Is pogo keeping chat in any of the games? It was and still is how I communicate with friends I have made here over the many years I have subscribed to the club. Let me know as it may determine whether I renew membership and I know its not just myself that is interested

    • Howdy tfkelley11,
An Insider question was answered in the last Pogo Insider regarding chat. To read it, please click here and then scroll down to the Insider Question section.

  • Dear Pogo,
Just a couple of thoughts. I, like others, have stated that we are upset by the fact that the tokens will go away. Now I see that you are replacing it with a “challenge-based” system. This system seems to be something with which I’m doomed to low achievements.

Please be aware that people of different abilities play these games. Personally I am disabled and have cognitive, mobility, and memory-based issues. As these games make their way over to HD, and as the new ones arrive, I have noticed a real difference in the difficulty level of the games in the new format.

As the games are more difficult, I find I no longer play games that were former favorites. For instance, World Class Solitaire, used to be a LOT easier to win because of the power-ups. Now I can hardly win a game. Also, it takes five clicks or so to get another game, it gets tedious.

Also a lot of the new games are hidden object. As an older player with older eyes, even when I play with the larger screen these are just difficult to find. Also, some of them contain objects I have never even heard of so I don’t even know what I’m looking for. My mobility impairment means that I’m not accurate when I click. So I can’t play these games at all. The games that I do enjoy and that I am able to play, don’t seem to be the ones coming over.

Does anyone, anyone at Pogo or EA take into consideration the ADA? Is there any way to have different levels of difficulty on more of these games, so that people of mobility and other challenges can play too? I have always found Pogo to be a place where I could try to keep up and not lose ability by playing games that challenge me in a way that I can use to my benefit. When I lose games over and over and over it is not only not fun, but I have to wonder whether or not anyone even listens and works on these things.

Please don’t answer with lawyer-speak. Yes, I was a professional who worked with contracting, etc., in my career so I do have some intelligence. I would appreciate an answer in keeping with that and with respect. You can answer me privately if you wish, I’m not trying to stir anything up.

    Best Regards
    Ada

    • Hi AdaMakawee7,
Thanks for your message and I did some investigating on it so I could have answers for you. And I do not think you’re trying to stir anything up. :)
I checked with our team and Pogo is legally bound to the ADA so yes, we do take that into consideration. I further found out that all of the new HD games are built off of the original set of game rules so many of the functions should be the same. I do appreciate your examples and shared them with the team so they are aware of them as well.
Thanks again and have a good and fun weekend here in Pogo.

  • Thanks for the lovely picture Pogo -Llama! Our trees here in Texas have not even thought about changing yet! But the area I reside in does have Fall foliage eventually! Right now it is still warm, the leaves are falling and a cold front is making it’s way across our state. Autumn is my favorite season.

    • Hi kublin,
I hope the leaves change for you in TX before the cold weather sets in. Take good care!

  • Many years ago, I was one of the folks beta-testing Tumble Bees. At one point we were asked to choose a name for the bear and I suggested Boogie, which was not too popular with the others. It was a pleasant surprise when my name won. I never did beta again, but I would like to know if other Pogonians have ever named a character.

  • I have finished all of the Jet Set Places and enjoyed each one.. using power ups helps in the newest cities and countries. So far no problems playing any games. Loved Turbo 21 and also Aces Up HD. Great job ..

    • Congratulations, ams0994! Great work and dedication. The fact that you’re having so much fun here in Pogo really makes my day.

  • Why do we not get points on the HD games? It makes me want to quit Pogo altogether.

    • Hello GrandmaAnn,
      As stated in the blog:

“As many Pogoians may be aware of at this point, the current token system will be replaced with a new award system. As stated in a May 2018 blog, I, and the rest of the Pogo team, know this is a point of contention with some players.

  • I love the pic you show for the area around Mt. Hood. However, it would have been even prettier if you had included my lovely mountain. I was born and raised and lived most of my life within eyeshot (is that a word?) of her. But 9 years ago I relocated and have to drive about 12 miles to be able to see her again. And any sight of her, even a photo, is always welcome. And welcome to our beautiful state! Please visit again.

    • Hi BstGrmaEvr,
You can bet I’ll visit your beautiful state again. Which mountain is your lovely mountain within eyesight?

  • I’m going to love Lottso! Express HD.

  • I cannot play most of the HD games. I have tried every forum looking for answers, including live chat and phone chat , the last two never respond. Ive been amember dor over 14 years, yes my profile does not reflect that because my original acct was hacked. Got no help there either. Hence, new acct, lost everything. Thinking my membership is in jeopardy. Very sad

    • Hi Jane,
Unfortunately I’m unable to troubleshoot from the blog. Please click here for loading help or contacting Pogo’s customer support. I do encourage that as those options will help you solve the issue.

  • HELP ! I was trying to get the last Claire badge done before time runs out.
How on earth do you get the 6x combo ?? I finish one episode in less than 1 minute, but don’t know how you get the 6x combo, HELP !

    • Players? Any tips?
Also, if you have a question about a challenge, please go to the Pogo forums, read through them to see if your question has already been asked, and if not, make a post.

  • tysm for the free gifts for tumblebees ,WAYYYY TO CUTE,LOVE THAT GAME♥♥HAVE A GREAT WEEK

  • Hi Pogo Llama,

Most likely you have not received an answer from your team. Wondering if the multi-colored eye shades will return to the mini mall? Many of my friends and I love those shades. Stressful work for EA employees. All are doing a great job creating, repairing, and the list goes on. I would be lost with Pogo. (smile)

    • And we’d be lost without our Pogo Community. Thank you, Middy.
I do not have any updates on the Mini requests.

  • Hi Pogo_Llama, Thank You for sharing your picture. Beautiful. Love the fall/autumn season. Also thank you and Pogo for all of the free badges and tournaments that have been going on. Have been enjoying them. :)

    • Thank you so much, Debbie! It makes me so happy you not only enjoyed my photo, but also are enjoying all of the activities in Pogo.

  • is Spooky slots going to be in HD? I really nlike the game if not please put in Walmart to buy

  • Hi Pogo_Llama,

Is there any update on what games could be released starting in January?

    • Hi Ranger,
We do have games that will be released after the new year. I will post more about those in a future blog.

  • Hi Pogo_Llama, I was wondering if there are any plans to bring back the holiday tile sets in Mahjong Escape. I really liked the Halloween themed tiles that were available last year. Looking forward to playing Tumble Bees HD. Love the photo you posted. Thank you for all the updates.

  • is there any chance of Halloween games returning, miss them

    • Hi Dianhrn,
There will be Halloween-themed skins for Mahjong Escape and Sweet Tooth 2. :)

  • I love the new Poppit HD and Tumble Bees. So far all of the games converted to HD are so much more graphic and fun to play. I also loved the Marathons we have had and did get to finish all of them, including all 65 of the Magic Marathon. I do have one question and that is are Tournaments going to be phased out or will more games be added. You guys are really working hard to make all the games more fun. Please pass along my sincere thanks to all the Pogo staff. I do thank you for all you do for us as well.

    • Hi barryandlinda20,
Our sincere thanks and gratitude to you, too. We really appreciate you participating in the events and love it that you’re enjoying the new games.
Tournaments are being looked into and I’ll report on it when I have more information. I understand the Pogo Community would like more information than that, but that really is all I have at this time. Thank you for understanding. Have an excellent weekend.

  • Tripeaks HD cant wait to see the great improvements the Pogo team work so hard on converting to HD
Wonder if rock will still fall, trapdoors open, plant eat Tex or bird scoop him away.Thank the entire pogo teams for everything they do that keeps us playing and anticipating new games yet to come.

  • Can the brains that are redesigning the games to HD make the slot games spin with the space bar, like in Monopoly Slots? For the many players with carpal tunnel, this feature is a game changer. Using the mouse to spin is damaging to our already sore wrists. Thanks

  • I wish Quinn had an alert that there are no additional matches. The other similar games tell you there are no additional matches.

  • This morning I started receiving an alert from my security program, Malwarbytes, that it was blocking a trojan everytime I logged into Pogo.com. The trojan seems to be from something called iwin.com
What do you know about this and how can it be stopped. I am now afraid to play on Pogo and I have been a member for a long time. Thank you.

    • Hi C1Mead,
This was something happening on Malwarbytes’s end. Is this still happening to you?

  • Yay!! I am tickled purple that Poppit Party is getting new costumes and a chance to purchased them. I have been at a standstill (actually since two months after POGO brought it on board). I have a ton of badges to do also and I just cannot wait!! Thank you, thank you!!

  • Hi Pogo Llama, Thank you so much for answering my question about the Magic Marathon. I have completed 54 all but the HORRIBLE Quinns. I hope you don’t have it too often as weekly challenges as I won’t even try. I finished all the other challenges and free badges, made my rank 50 in StackEm, 14 in new Word Whomp and started in Tumble Bees today, only rank 3 so far,
But it’s fun ! I am 81 and spend a lot of time playing as it helps the loneliness from missing my dear husband. I LOVE the picture you posted today, wish I was still able to hike. Thanks for sharing your beautiful pics with us, I also love the lake in W.I. you showed earlier. Also just wanted to ask the ones in charge of games if they could give us the undo button and let us choose another easier game when doing challenges in Quinns. I have a really hard challenge round up and tried so many times to win but finally gave up when my blood pressure hit 157/120. I also wish we could pick without random draw, the ones we want to play in Magic Marathons, because I would NEVER PICK QUINNS. Thanks again to you and the team !!!!

    • Hi pawneespirit33,
Thank you for participating in the Magic Marathon and congratulations on complete 54 badges. That’s just amazing and I am impressed.
What are your very favorite games here on Pogo?
I’m so sorry for the loss of your husband. I am glad Pogo has been an outlet for you and that you are playing and part of the community. Take good care.

  • Hi Pogo Llama,
Thanks for the great fall picture. Waiting for color here in northern OH too.
I only have 34 gems and use them very judicially. Like may others I not cannot or will not buy more. Since tokens will be discontinued and so many are upset by that, is there a possibility of using them to buy episodes in marathons or something?
I appreciate all the free mini items. We can be sooo well dressed LOL. I know, free stuff doesn’t help pay your well deserved salaries but many of us don’t have salaries any more .. we are retired and it is often limited.
Could this use of our tokens be considered?
Thanks to all the crew for their hard work.

    • Hi Tigertoo31,
I hope you get some colorful fall leaves in Ohio soon!
Thank you for your suggestion, but please understand tokens do not have any monetary value. Therefore, they cannot be used to purchase something that does have monetary value. Thanks again and thank you for being a part of Pogo.

  • WHEN WILL U BE RETURNING WITH NEW CLUE EPISODES ON MONDAYS. SURE DO MISS THEM!!:)

  • DOES THE NEW SIGN IN ACCOUNT REFER TO EVERYONE OR TO THOSE WITH MORE THEN ONE POGO ACCOUNT? VERY CONFUSED BY THIS! THANK YOU

  • I live in Oregon(but from Wisconsin) and adore the fall colors here just as much as in Central Wisconsin. I am happy you got to hike MT.Hood. I haven’t played the new version of Tumble Bees yet but I am sure I will like it just as much as the old version. Thanks for keeping us updated on the new versions of Pogo games.

    • Hi sssyspky,
Wow! I’m from Central Wisconsin. I heard it’s pretty cold there today. Stay warm, enjoy the colors, and enjoy Tumble Bees when you get a chance to play it. I’m happy to keep you all updated. :)

  • I would really like the chat in the HD games to be on the side, so you can see it as your playing and not having to stop playing to scroll down and see if your friends are typing. THat wou;d make it more like the friendly old pogo.

    • Howdy goodwin,
An Insider question was answered in the last Pogo Insider regarding chat. To read it, please click here and then scroll down to the Insider Question section.

  • Hi Pogo Llama, So happy to see so many games going HD. They all look great and I’m looking forward to playing all the new HD games. Also looking forward to the next Marathon. Please no Quinn’s. Have a great week.

  • Hi

Just wanted to say that I enjoyed the Magic Challenge very much. Finished mine and my husband’s in 8 days. If I had one thing that bothered me a bit as too many of the same games a bit more variety would have been better. Maybe some card games or board games for a bit of a change up. Over all I love pogo and wanted to say thank you to everyone there for your hard work on our behalf

    Susan

    • Hi, skippysue56
Congratulations on finishing TWO Magic Marathons in 8 days. WOW! I am very impressed and grateful. I thank you for your game suggestions, as well. Have a great weekend!

  • Is there somewhere we can let you guys know our “wish list” for games we’d like to see updated? There are some that are dear to me and I hope that they don’t have to go away!

    • Hi Eta7Again,
You can tell me right here in the blog comments if you’d like. What games would you love to see converted?

  • Beautiful Pic, Pogo_Llama! Thanks for thinking of us and sharing it!
I want to thank you and the other team members for giving us weekly/daily challenges for some of my favorites: Mahjong Dimensions; the T.V. ones; 52 Card Pick-up; Sherlock Holmes, and more that I can’t think of off the top of my head. I’ve been playing pogo since 2000 (boy, have you improved your site!), and I just Love it when you bring some of the seemingly forgotten games! That’s one of the things that continues to keep me here! Thanks!!

    • Thank you so much for your kind words, songstress250. We all appreciate your support. Have a wonderful weekend. :)

  • I did it! I finished the Magic Marathon today. The last badge to finish was Solitaire Gardens…find 20 multiplier cards (The X2 at the end of the games). I do admit, the Marathon was a bit much…especially with other marathons/challengers going on at the same time. Was it just me, or were all these badges (60 in the Magic Marathons, 2/week in the weekly challenges and 2 more challenges adding to another dozen or so)…and that is before playing any of the badges we might have our eyes on, a bit much? Can we get some idea of how many badges people have time for per month or per week for that matter? I will say, I have had enough of Solitaire Gardens and Jet Set Solitaire. How about some HOG challenges or at least emphasizing other games than the solitaire game play for a month or two. I was also surprised that there was no inclusion of Sudoko in the Magic Marathon. Otherwise, the badges were mostly pretty decent.

The best thing about the Magic Marathon is that we could have one badge open in each game at the same time. Some of the challenges where one or two of the badges that are VERY long to play are frustrating. Many of the multiple game challenges would be better if we could have more than one badge going at a time, so we could change off.

All in all, the Magic Marathon was a lot of fun. I’m going to just relax and play my favorite games for a few days and sort of decompress.

Looking forward to the next challenge…

    Pr Chris

  • It is human nature to resist change because it takes us out of our comfort zones. Thank you for being our guiding light through this transition. Already, I am now focusing on rank as well as becoming more familiar with the HD games. We all need to focus on something that is positive during this time. POGO has been great about offering a lot of free challenges to help with this transition.

    • Hi Skip,
You sure are right about that and I totally understand it because change is very hard. There is comfort in going through things together and I am here for you all to ask questions to and make suggestions. Also keep in mind, our team here at Pogo is listening and appreciates our players very much.
Thank you for your comment and attitude. It’s very good to hear. All the best to you and have a lovely weekend.

  • The photo of Oregon was just beautiful! I used to live there in the 80’s and would love to live there again some day. We have been having so much rain here in Southern WI lately that I have been feeling like I was back in OR!! Only, when it rained in Oregon, the sun was usually shining!

I asked a question in last week’s blog and could not find it posted or answered anywhere so I’ll try again.
I was wondering why the Club Pogo chat room names in the new games are being made all the same, such as Badge Hunters, Badge Junkies, Cool Minis, etc.? Is there a reason the old room names couldn’t stay the same?

    • Hello Portlandroise,
Your question is a great question for the next Pogo Insider. I’m going to postpone answering it now and answer it, instead, for the Pogo Community on Oct 23rd in the next blog.
Stay dry over there in WI! My parents (who reside in northern WI) told me it’s snowing up there right now!

  • I have been a club member for ten years, one of the reasons I became a member after trying a regular membership was the fun games. One of my favorites was Pogo Addiction Solitaire, I love that game. Boo Hoo it is a Java game. I can play it using Internet Explorer, even on my brand new computer with its 27″ screen (great for these old eyes). But most of the games play better on Chrome, so I am changing between Chrome and IE it seems a lot everyday.

Another Boo Hoo soon Java won’t be supported by anyone. Pogo Addiction used to be a very popular game. Are there plans to convert it to a HD game? I want to still keep feeding my addiction to Addiction.

Here in the Central Illinois area we’re starting the change, although we haven’t had a killing frost yet. The scenery is changing since most the corn and soybeans have been harvested. The land is flat again, so we can see for miles.

One of my nephews, his wife, and two sons live near Portland and Mt. Hood. It’s a beautiful area as your photo shows.

Thank you for reading this and have a good week.

    • Hello worldmom58,
Thank you for your description of Central IL right now with the crops out and the ground prepping for winter. I can imagine it quite vividly as I used to drive through those areas.
Thanks for your question and request on Pogo Addiction Solitaire. If I have any updates on that game being converted to HD, I will let you all know in the Construction Zone. Have a good week.

  • Mahjong Garden and Word Search Daily would be nice. I miss playing Word Search Daily. Thank you

  • You really do take great pictures. Thanks for sharing. I am really enjoying Double Deuce Poker. Reminds me of younger days playing video poker. Just so you know, I think you do a great job answering questions. I’m 70 years old and enjoy the variety of games Pogo offers. As far as tokens, I know some folks think tokens are the cats meow, but my focus in on enjoying the games.

    • Hi Meowlynne,
Well thank you very much, Meow. I like to take photos, but only of nature for the most part.
I try to answer the questions as best I can. I’m happy to have this blog and be able to communicate with the Pogo Community about their questions and concerns.
I’ll pass your comment about Double Deuce onto the team. They will be happy to hear this.
      You have a great weekend.

  • Love your photo! Mount Hood is beautiful year round. Here in the Colorado high country, snow has graced our mountain peaks, so we have the last remnants of the fall colors, the dark greens of the evergreens, and the snow on the peaks. Life is good. :)

    • Hello Soupiesoup,
Life IS good! I love your attitude. I raise my cup of warm tea to you. Enjoy your week.

  • A great job on the conversion of Poppit and Tumble Bees (without any changes to the game, and maintaining the speed of play).

Now, if you would please put Word Whomp back to the way it was — getting rid of those huge letters! Trying to quickly click back and forth on them requires a lot of mouse/cursor movement, which is slowing the game play; and there is still a lagging. How to ruin what was a very popular game!

    • Hi BBrown,
Yay! So glad you’re enjoying the new Poppit! and Tumble Bees!
Thank you for your suggestions on Word Whomp HD.

  • I like the fall picture you posted. It is beautiful. Thanks for sharing it.

  • What is going to happen to the Pogo Tournaments, will the games be replaced with HD games ?..

    • Word Whomp HD, and other Flash-turned-HD games, will not continue to be in the current version of Pogo’s Tournaments. I do not have any further information on Tournaments at this time, but when I do, I’ll let you all know.

Thank you for your questions and concerns. I hope you have a good week.

  • Since Pogo is phasing out tokens, any hints as to what will replace them? I have seen a trend of expecting to pay gems for game episodes and I feel that since I already pay to be a Club Pogo member that I shouldn’t have to pay to play a game. If the new system involves gems I would like to know before I renew.

    • Hello davsgirl,
      As stated in the blog:

“As many Pogoians may be aware of at this point, the current token system will be replaced with a new award system. As stated in a May 2018 blog, I, and the rest of the Pogo team, know this is a point of contention with some players. For those of you for whom tokens provide a way to project status and achievement over time, we hear you and we understand your aversion to losing this status.”

  • Hi definitely appreciate all the hard work for the many changes pogo is making. I am surprised that I like the hd games but I do, like the old ones too. bummer for java but I guess time marches on. I have a question about word whomp, which by the way is one of my top three or four games and I think new version is awesome but please tell me pogo is gonna put it back in the tournaments??????? when can we expect it back in the tournaments please?

    • Hi Handipam,
I’m so glad you’re enjoying the changes!
Word Whomp HD, and other Flash-turned-HD games, will not continue to be in the current version of Pogo’s Tournaments. I do not have any further information on Tournaments at this time, but when I do, I’ll let you all know.

Thank you for your questions and concerns. I hope you have a good week.
