Hello Pogoians!

Happy Tuesday everyone!

Happy (belated) Mother’s Day to all mother’s out there, including my own mom (who is a big fan of Poppit! Bingo, by the way). Thank you for all you have done and continue to do. I hope each and every one of you had a fantastic day and continue to have a fantastic year.

PLEASE NOTE: I’ve read the posts that some players are experiencing a black screen when trying to load Quinn’s Aquarium. I’ve also heard of some players receiving a message to update their video drivers. The Pogo team is actively looking into these reports. Please click here for an article on troubleshooting these issues.

Pogo_Rachael is here with another sneak peek of this week’s upcoming Mini release.

“We decided to change things up a little this week by having a unique sort of ‘sale’ in the Mini Mall. For this week’s Memorial Day release, the brand-new token items that we’re releasing will be free! After this release, our next Mini Release will be in May. Happy Memorial Day!”

Welcome to the Construction Zone! Here is where you will find the latest on game updates. What is currently “under construction” on Pogo? As often as I can, I’ll sit down with the Pogo team and get the latest info on which games are being worked on and what’s coming. I will always post more details when I have them available. Please understand updates are subject to change.

Please understand that unless an announcement comes directly from EA and/or Pogo, we cannot endorse it as true. All games and updates reported here in the Construction Zone have been given the “go ahead” and are on track to come out. Anything else that is reported is speculation right now.

Game Updates

Jewel Academy – 40 new levels coming your way in May.

Quinn’s Aquarium – New tiles have been released! Have you found your new favorite set yet? For an informative how-to find the new tiles, please click here.

Poppit! Party – I have relayed your many awesome requests for more costumes in Poppit! Party to the Pogo team. As of right now, however, I do not have an update for you on this request.

 New Games

Crossword Cove – New H5 version coming May 22 with US style layouts. (That’s next week!)

Stack’em – New H5 version coming the week of June 18th.

Post Cards From Britain – Coming in June.

A Way With Words – New word game coming this summer.

Known Issues

Quinn’s Aquarium – We have heard that some players are experiencing a black screen when trying to load Quinn’s Aquarium. We have also heard of some players receiving a message to update their video drivers. Please click here for an article on troubleshooting these issues.

Sound – Google Chrome has updated their browser to include a feature where it auto-shuts off sound. Well, don’t you worry as the Pogo team is currently working on a fix on our end for this situation. However, until that is released, please click here for a workaround.

Phlinx II – The team has fixed the issue in which balls were dropping much more frequently in Celestial Mode which was making game play increasingly harder.
Website updates

New Pogo Sign-In Experience – New Pogo sign-in experience will be starting to roll out in July and will end in October. Please click here to read more.

Scrabble and Monopoly: Please click here to read more information about Scrabble and Monopoly being removed from Pogo.

Prizes – The Prize link has been temporarily removed from Guest and Free pages on Pogo.com while the team works on revamping those pages.

Game of the Month – A reminder Game of the Month is currently under construction and will return in June!

A Gentle Reminder
Please be nice and courteous when playing Pogo games. Kindness is so important, and it also goes a long way. If you’re in a chat room and you see a player asking a question or reaching out some help, please remember to be kind if you take the time to respond to them. Also, please remember that everyone plays their games differently. If they would like to play one way, please let them do so. As always, we’re all here to have fun so a little kindness goes a long way towards our fellow players.

Claire Hart: Soul Searcher Sale
Due to technical issues, the sale for Claire Hart went out later than intended on Sunday. As such, the sale will be extended through Wednesday, May 15, 2018 at 11:59PM PDT.

Every week I answer a non-technical question related to Pogo. We get lots of questions every week, so I try to focus on common themes or the same question coming from different folks. Please ask your non-technical related question in the comments section of the blog.

(For technical issues, please go to Pogo’s Help Page.)

Q. Hey! Where’s game of the month for May?!
A. We want to make things super fun for you here in Pogo. Of course, Pogo is already fun but we want to make it even more fun! In an effort to do just that, we’re going to revamp the Game of the Month feature! As such, there is not a Game of the Month for May. Game of the Month will be returning in its new and super-fun form at some point in June!

On that note, did you all play Rainy Day Spider Solitaire in April? If so, check your gifts because you received a free mini item for playing as that was Game of the Month in April. It looks just like this:

Alrighty folks, I’m going to go fill up my tea. I must admit, I’m getting a little bit bored with mint tea so I may have to change it up. What should I have instead? (Something non-caffeinated).

OH! And have a great time with tomorrow’s Premiere Wednesday Challenge for Quinn’s Aquarium! Which tileset will you use?

Happy Tuesday! Have a super fun and happy week.

Cheers,

Pogo Llama

Could you possible pass on a word about having a liger, tiger, lion, bear potm!

  • try drinking decaf ginger tea…………….good for the soul and body

  • hi how come we cant play old levels in Quinns Aquarium

    • Hiya Skyblue,
      (I love a blue sky!)
The way in which players progress in Quinn’s Aquarium is to keep moving forward after every successful completion of a level. This is as designed and is working properly. Thank you!

  • Pogo Llama,

I just read Blog #76, what a wonderful upbeat person you are! I appreciate the kindness that comes through.

I, like your mother, love Poppit Bingo!

    • Thank you, Lisa! I hope you have an excellent day in Pogo (and Poppit! Bingo).

  • For new tea flavor for you, may I suggest that you try Harney & Sons (Harney.com.) My favorite is Caribe. It comes in a pyramid-shaped teabag (they call it a sachet) is excellent. They have a very large assortment of various teas. However, my very favorite is Good Earth’s Sweet & Spicy herbal tea. It is so different and invigorating. I will actually crave it if I haven’t had a cup for a few days.
Also, I’m just kinda wondering if there is a reason that Quinn’s Aquarium runs so much slower than Mahjongg Garden? Or is it just my computer?
Thanx to all of the Pogo staff for making this such a wonderful games site.

    • Thank you for your tea suggestion, Hannah!
Thanks for checking out Quinn’s. The game is not supposed to lag, so what you are experiencing is not intended. If you keep experiencing this issue, please head over to the Help page and talk with Customer Support as they will be able to help you out with technical issues. Thank you.

  • For those that do not have chat in the chrome browser. Here is a picture of it:

    https://answers.ea.com/t5/Pogo/No-chat-w-Chrome-in-HTML-games-just-blank-white-space/td-p/6789561

About a dozen players have posted about it, on 4 different forums including the news blog.

  • Hi Pogo_Llama,
Try Green Tea Decaf with lemon wedge
Green Tea is good for losing weight and helps, blood sugars elevated.

    Thanks for all the updates

    Donna

  • hi and thankyou for he happy moms day its the only one i got , why so many long games in the mothers day marathon when we had a long weekly challenge i am still trying to finish them . thanks for all the fun things and i chose the fish set in quinns thanks again

  • I am very disappointed that Monopoly slots is being removed. I enjoy playing this game with my friends every morning. Is anyway you can ask them to let EA keep monopoly slots?

    • HI WildKrista,
Unfortunately it is all up to Hasbro and not Ea and Pogo. Thank you.

  • I understand that we can’t replay any of the levels in Quinn’s Aquarium. Does that mean those of us who have completed all or most of the levels will not be able to do the Wednesday Challenge?

    • Hi spendmoney,
After you have completed all of the current level’s in Quinn’s (Congratulations on that, you rockstar, you!) then you will be brought to the bonus level and you will be able to play that for the Wednesday Challenge Badge.

  • I am really going to miss Scrabble, that was always my go to game if I wanted something to clear my head!!

  • Decaf Jasmine Green Tea, I find the scent uplifting.

I’ve been playing Quinn’s Aquarium Mahjong and at first it was really difficult on the eyes and brain but then began looking at it differently, I was learning something new! So I switched my other Mahjong games to the same tiles with the goal of eventually moving to the Original Mahjong tiles (the one’s without the English number and letter in the corner but what am I learning Chinese or Japanese?

    • What a super fun question! I asked and you are learning…Chinese! :)

  • I believe there is a slight mistake under the Sneak Peek portion of your blog post:

“After this release, our next Mini Release will be in May. Happy Memorial Day!””

Will the next release be in May or will it be in June? In past Mini releases were twice monthly, so if there is a release this Thursday, that would be the second release this month.

I hope all my southern neighbours have a Happy Memorial Day. Here in Canada, we will be celebrating Victoria Day on May 21st. I wish all Canadians a Happy Victoria Day.

I’ve tried Quinn’s Aquarium several times to give it a chance. I have to say, though, that I don’t care for the game at all. It’s not because it is a Mahjong style game, but rather it “directs” the player too much and after the few free power ups are used, they MUST be purchased if needed. By “directs,” I mean the player doesn’t have the opportunity to repeat levels if they wish. They are “directed” forward always. Only when you complete an area before the next is open do you have the opportunity to play random levels.

I know there are folks who will point out that purchasing power ups is an option. This is true to a point. When one is so frustrated by repeating the same level ad nauseam, one has the choice to purchase a power up to move forward (directed forward always), or quit playing the game altogether. For me, it is the latter.

I won’t be participating in the Wednesday Challenge tomorrow in Quinn’s Aquarium because of the restrictions of the game. I won’t be completing the free M&M Pogo gifted us members in Quinn’s Aquarium. I will thank Pogo for the freebie, though. I do appreciate these freebies.

I would also like to thank Pogo for the Mother’s Day Celebration. I was thrilled to see we had a coupon code for a free M&M and a coupon code for a free gem Mini item. I really appreciated these.

    • I have fun news for you, SusyQ, there will be an extra release next Thursday for Memorial Day. :)
The way in which players progress in Quinn’s Aquarium is to keep moving forward after every successful completion of a level. This is as designed and I do appreciate your feedback.
I’m happy to hear you enjoyed the Pogo Mother’s Day celebration.

  • Thanks for the update on Crossword Cove–looking forward to it. Also, many thanks for fixing the problem with Celestial Mode in Phlinx II!

  • how about H5 for QWERTY Please

  • I would like to know something important, please!! When did Pogo start charging tax when we renew each year? My yearly renewal wasn’t taxed last year but was this year.(And why start charging tax when tax was supposed to be included?)
By the way, I love all the H5 game layouts, except we aren’t able to chat due to it being so large and we can’t see friends as they come into our rooms.
I really WISH we could keep Scrabble, it’s one of my all-time favorites, but I understand. Thank you Pogo Llama if you could answer.

    • Hiya Harrisj585,
Thanks for your question. The tax that you’re seeing has actually been applied by your particular state. Unfortunately that is out of our hands and is a legal situation per state. I do hope this helps clarify things for you and I thank you for being a part of Pogo.

  • P.S. Also, Pogo used to remind us in an email ahead of time(a month before) when our renewal date was coming up. I didn’t receive one this year!!

    • Hi Harris,
I just confirmed that all Club members do receive an email 30 days prior to their renewal date. Please check your email’s spam folder to see if the renewal notice was lost in there. The email will come from EA Club Pogo. Thank you

  • Please add more levels in Amazing Adventures and Letters From Nowhere and Mahjong Jungle. Thank you so much.

    Sincerely,
    dorning1p

  • I meant to say Mahjong Safari.

  • I think it would be nice to have some Alpacas or llamas for POTM. Also for Quinns Aquarium see if they can make different tile picture I for one do not like chinese tiles cause after awhile they get confusing & start to look alike . It would be nice to change them like mahjong garden or M Escape tiles. That’s why I don’t care for the game as of now. Thank you

  • Hi, a big thanks for mentioning the “Gentle Reminder” this week. Some people out there need to focus on this. It is nice to be kind anytime.

  • you should try orange blossom tea its really good and decaf

  • I love playing the Claire Hart “games” I really like the clarity of the pictures, However, I wonder if anyone has suggested that it could use a larger screen. I find the items way too small to read. Thanks for listening.

    • HI CJHP,
I’m super happy you’re enjoying Claire Hart! I have great news for you: For a how-to make Claire Hart in full screen, please click here. Thank you!

  • Happy Tuesday! Any way you can pass on a request to make Everyone Wins Bingo into HTML5, pretty please? =)

  • Thanks so much for the gentle reminder! :-)

If you want something cold to drink for the summer instead of tea… Walmart has a product called Sam’s choice and basically it is flavored water. The flavors are so close to the real thing it amazes me.

    Tile sets… animals.

    • I just played a round using the animals and I think it’s my favorite as well. :)

  • To go along with your “Gentle Reminder”: I saw a sign in the doctor’s office just this morning that said….”It’s nice to be important, but more important to be nice”. I thought this was a good quote. And one we should all remember. Thanks for being nice!!

    • This is a great quote and so true. I just saw this one too and rather enjoyed it, “Kindness creates happiness!”

  • Will the new H5 versions of existing games also not award tokens like World Class Solitaire?

  • I love Quinn’s Aquarium and love the new tiles. Looking forward to this week’s challenge. You said to be kind to one another. That is the best advice anyone can give to players. I see people ask for help and nobody says anything to the person asking. But then other times, I see people jumping right in to help. I like the “pay if forward” idea as well. It kind of works the same way. If you are nice one person, maybe that person will be nice to someone as well. Pogo is a fun place to play and meet people. Keep up the good work

  • Pogo Llama, Have you ever tried orange spice tea? I love it iced in the summer months. It is so refreshing.

    • I haven’t! It sounds like it’d be a good one with ice. Thank you!

  • How about Lavender tea OR Lavender/Mint tea. It’s very aromatic and soothing. :)

  • I enjoy a nice cup of mint tea myself. If you don’t know how to make mint tea or any herb tea here is a simple recipe that will do for both mint tea and most any herb tea also.

First you have to plant some mint and watch it grow for awhile. When you have a vigorously growing plant you need to get together:

5 to 10 fresh mint leaves – depending on how strong you want your tea.
2 cups of fresh water. I get mine from the faucet. Some folks like bottled water.
Sugar or sweetener to your taste , that’s only if you want it sweet.
A nice squeeze of lemon, that’s optional too, but not if I’m having or serving tea.

    Now then– Boil the water.
Next – – You really should rinse your mint leaves to remove any dirt or small critters like bogs. Tear up you leaves so as they can release all their good tastes and aromas.

Remember there are a variety of min leaves you can use for tea. You have your spearmint, your peppermint, your chocolate mint, your lemon mint , and don’t forget your penny-royal mint.

Now you can put your mint leaves in a tea ball, or you can just put them in any heat proof container and let the leaves steep for 10-15 minutes. The longer the steep, the stronger the tea.

After you figure your tea has steeped long enough pour yourself a nice cup and add that lemon or even some honey or have both.

Sit back and relax and enjoy your tea.

I have a friend that likes rose hips tea a- rose hips are supposed to be chock full of vitamins.

    • Now this is something I could really get into. I’ll have to plant some mint first but the rest is definitely doable and easy thereafter. (Hopefully those garden critters don’t eat my mint!) I have a lemon tree out back so that’ll be a really nice addition to the tea. This sounds amazing. Really! Thank you. :)

  • When the Monopoly & Scrabble games are removed, will unearned Wednesday challenge badges be auto-awarded? If not, how do we complete the yearly badge books? Thanks!

  • My favourite tea is organic white-T with peach: Rishi Tea. Refreshing (;-D Maybe you might like it too (;-D

I’ve been meaning to ask if there is any way to turn off the Pop-up in PayDay FreeCell that reminds you ‘You cant do that’ ?… When I’m tired I make too many accidental clicks and get that pop-up. I find it really frustrating.

I KNOW well the rules of FreeCell and don’t need to be reminded. It would be wonderful to be able to an ON/OFF option for that Pop-Up as there is for Sound… could you speak to the Tech-team about this Pogo-Llama?

    • Hi Phoenix217,
I will let the Pogo team know of your request especially if they transfer PayDay FreeCell over to H5 at some point. Thank you, it’s feedback like this that really helps when the team starts transporting the games over.

  • After this release, our next Mini Release will be in May. You probably meant June? ;)

    • Thank you, Javamama. I do this Pogo community so much and especially because you all love Pogo so much and know the release dates for the Mini Mall. :)
There’s an extra Mini Mall release this month for Memorial Day so extra fun for you in May!

  • Will there be any additions to Vanishing Trails? And I have found that the graphics on Sherlock Holmes aren’t as good as they use to be. The pictures are somewhat blurry compared to previous episodes.I am really looking forward to the new Crossword Cove. Thank you for your hard work and all those behind the scenes!

    • There will be no new additions to Vanishing Trails. All of the episodes for that game were released at one time. Thank you for your question and I can’t wait for you to play the new Crossword Cove!

  • pomegranate or jasmin

  • Hey there Pogo_Llama I want to answer your question from last week now because you closed down comments before I had a chance to answer…. When I went to Yosemite we stay at Yosemite Valley Lodge and there was a water falls I could see from my room so that was awesome and left me in awe at all the beauty around us.. It was so much fun and we will be going again soon… I truly enjoy your blogs.. you really do a great job keeping us up to date on thing that are important and Pogo Rachael does such a awesome job on all the new minis so for now I am planning on staying for awhile playing games on Pogo…every day it seems like a new journey which I am beginning to enjoy… I am out of college now and in need of a break…So until next time have a fun filled rest of your week…JJ

    • Thank you for responding back and I am sure that was a magical view to behold in Yosemite through your hotel window! Congratulations on completing your year in college! I hope you have a great and restful summer planned.

  • Tea is awful! Try Diet Coke! haha!

  • I would like for POGO to make a game of showing numerous tiles with objects on them & then the tiles flip over & you have to remember where tiles are with the matching object on it. Would that be possible? Please!

  • My favorite tea is ginger pear. I get it at Trader Joe’s and I’m not sure it is sold in other places or not. Sometimes (to me) ginger can be a bit strong. The pear mellows it out perfectly and it is a very relaxing tea.

From a fellow decaf tea drinker!

  • I love tea also. but I do get bored with same flavor. So what I do is take a hot tea and turn it into a tall glass of ice tea. your choice of flavor. my favorite is apple cinnamon tea. yummy.

  • There are lots of flowery teas, great for this time of year lavender, rose, hibiscus :) I like mine with zing so I mix them with Earl Grey – giddy up!

  • Could you please pass along a “Kudos” to the well designed Mothers Day Marathon badges! And the animated badge is soooooo cute! The talent of the graphic designers never ceases to amaze me!

  • Try a good Rooibos red tea, with one star anise and a stick of cinnamon in it with a little drizzle of honey and steep for at least 10 minutes. It is spicy and relaxes. If you are feeling worn out, you could also add one allspice to it.
Crushed ginger, squeeze of lemon and honey also makes a great tea.

  • This is a bit off-topic, but please thank the person that chose the games/challenges for the new Legendary Badges! I I bought all except for Big City Adventure, & am looking forward to playing Who Has the Biggest Brain, 52 Card Pickup, Slingo Ricochet & Pegland. Loving the variety of games this month!

    • OH thank you so much, PTD889096! I will definitely let the team know as it was a group effort. :) Have fun!

  • Have you replaced the speaker in Poppit Bingo? I no longer can hear her or the terrible music playing. My game is silent.

    • Hi pfrog,
Google Chrome has updated their browser to include a feature where it auto-shuts off sound. Well, don’t you worry as the Pogo team is currently working on a fix on our end for this situation. However, until that is released, please click here for a workaround.

  • Pogo Llama,

May 15, is Tuesday today, Wednesday is the 16th, so are you ending the Claire Hart tonight or Wednesday night? Also try Mango Ice Tea decaf, it’s really good!!

    • Hi Lani,
The sale will end on Wednesday evening at 11:59pm Pacific Time.

  • My go to tea every morning is Twining’s Irish Breakfast(non-caffeinated). I need a whole hot cupful before I can even consider tackling Crossword Cove!

  • I enjoy the following decaffeinated Twinings teas:
    English Breakfast
    Irish Breakfast
Lady Grey – similar to Earl Gray but with citrus

    Enjoy!

  • Decaf green tea is full of antioxidants.
