Blog Post #119 – December 3, 2019

Hello Pogoians!

Happy December 3 to you all! Can you believe we’re already into December? 2019 is almost over and I am so grateful you’ve been with me throughout this year.

Did you know the Pogo Insider Blog started this month three years ago?! The first edition of the Pogo Insider was published on December 6, 2016. Please have a read when you have a moment! How long have you been reading the Pogo Insider? Are there any sections you’d like added to the current Pogo Insider? Please comment below as I’d love to read your thoughts!

Welcome to the Construction Zone! Here is where you will find the latest on game updates. What is currently “under construction” on Pogo? As often as I can, I’ll sit down with the Pogo team and get the latest info on which games are being worked on and what’s coming. I will always post more details when I have them available. Please understand updates are subject to change.

Please understand that unless an announcement comes directly from EA and/or Pogo, we cannot endorse it as true. All games and updates reported here in the Construction Zone have been given the “go ahead” and are on track to come out. Anything else that is reported is speculation right now.

  • The 25 Days of Pogo began on December 1. Be sure to visit every day and follow here for all the latest information on sales and events.
  • More events to come in the new year! 2020 has so much Pogo-fun on deck.

Game Updates

  • Jet Set Solitaire – Two new cities released today include St. John’s, Newfoundland and an extended stay in Stockholm.
  • Jewel Academy – New levels released today!
  • NEW Claire Hart episodes 74 – 82 will be out soon. If you need a little break from the cold, travel to Maui with Claire for a new mystery. Troy also has a new look that is debuting with this upcoming release!
  • Mahjong Sanctuary – Reindeer, the first animal for the new arctic biome will be released soon along with 50 additional levels! (Please note, you must complete all 450 prior levels to unlock the Reindeer).

New Games

  • Crazy Cakes 2 and Winter Wonderland, a new hidden object game from Secret Builders, are two Early Access Exclusives headed to Pogo this month!

Website updates:

  • Triple Bonus Tokens and Sunday Token Social will be retiring in February. Click here for more information.
  • How about a little winter cleaning? I’m tidying up and reorganizing the Pogo Forums. Please click here for more information on that.
  • Starting back on October 18, 2019, you may have noticed a new prompt on Pogo asking you to verify your age. This applies to all non-Club Pogo members, including guest users. Club Pogo members do not need to verify and can simply sign in to avoid seeing the prompt.
  • For previously posted Pogo website updates, please read the archived Pogo Insiders.

Every week I answer a non-technical question related to Pogo. We get lots of questions every week, so I try to focus on common themes or the same question coming from different folks. Please ask your non-technical related question in the comments section of the blog.

(For technical issues, please go to Pogo’s Help Page.)

Q. Will my favorite game be added to the HTML5 catalog on Early Access?

A. Now, I know I’ve answered this question semi-recently but I have a question for you.Which games would YOU like to see in Early Access? All game updates are posted on this blog in the Construction Zone section. This blog, the Pogo Insider, is published every other Tuesdays at 11 am PT. You can get all the latest information on which new games are coming right here. You can, however, let me know which games you still want to see ported to HTML5. We’re always excited to hear what kind of games you want to play, so please post in the comments below.

Thanks again for reading the Pogo Insider. I hope you have a fun and happy week. It’s definitely going to be fun here on Pogo with the release of two new Pogo games! Crazy Cakes 2 and Winter Wonderland are just around the corner!

Take good care and remember that you matter.

  • Please bring back Dice City Rollers and Texas Hold’em poker and Pogo Detective Puzzles and also the mini mall, they were so enjoyable an I really would like to come back to pogo more.I use to play around 8 hours a day.. now I only play about 2 hours because these games are gone!
    Thank you !!

  • Canasta, Dominoes, Jungle Gin and Monopoly slots, spades and I like bowling too… thats really all I play all the time without them I cant stay with pogo.. please bring them all in. I used to love keno but then I couldnt get it and I think its gone now that was a fun game if you wil tokens. Half the fun is the tokens you cant realy spend them on anything but its fun to see how many you can get. I dont know if it will be as much fun or addictive without the tokens.. just saying

  • I would like a button to turn off animation. I was playing Sweet Tooth Town and finally had to quit, all that wiggling to point out a move was really irritating. Pogo Addiction as well, you have to wait after completing a suit. Payday with the giant cards that interrupt the flow of the game. And Mahjong Safari. These games would be enjoyable if you could please find a way to do this.

  • I would love to see Big City Adventures and Clue converted……two of the best games on POGO (in my opinion).

  • I miss pinochle, cribbage, backgammon and hearts. Those were my favorite games of all. Pinochle used to only be available to members, and was the SOLE reason I started paying for pogo many years ago. Very sad when they went away. :-(

  • will any poker b bought back my sister and i like no limit poker as long as we have any poker we can chat and play together-hopes its nolimit ty

  • Please bring back Squelchies, Harvest Mania, Papa Zapa, Stellar Sweeper, Dice Derby and Pool as these were my son and my favorites that I paid to be a club member again.

Please update Pogo Bowl, which I play quite often.

  • Canasta, Boggle Bash, Dice City Rollers and Spooky Slots (miss hunting for pumpkins).

  • Please convert these to HMTL: Big City Adventure, Boggle Bash, Canasta, Hearts, Jigsaw Detective, Jungle Gin, Monopoly, Pinochle, Pop Fu, QWERTY, Solitaire Gardens (with virtual gardens), Spades, Wonderland Memories, Yahtzee Party. Thank you!

  • Thank you so much for bringing back Jigsaw Treasure Hunter – it is one of my favorites. The other games I would like to see are Euchre, Penguin Blocks and Dice City Rollers

  • Big City Adventure, Boggle Bash, Canasta, Hearts, Jigsaw Detective, Jungle Gin, Monopoly, Penguin Blocks, Pinochle, Qwerty, Solitaire Gardens, Spades, Yahtzee Party

  • Boggle Bash, Canasta, Hearts, Jungle Gin, Pinochle, Qwerty, Solitaire Gardens, Spades, Yahtzee Party

  • Big City Adventure, Boggle Bash, Canasta, Hearts, Jungle Gin, Pinochle, Qwerty, Solitaire Gardens, Spades, Yahtzee Party

  • Jungle Gin, Canasta, Qwerty, and Pinochle PLEASE !!!

  • PINOCHLE !! My favorite game, PLEASE bring it back – I love the musical attributes and miss playing it so much.

  • Has there been any updates on the current flash games like Pogo Bowl and Jungle Gin? When will these flash games and the rest be retired?
