Get to Know Joyce, Pogo Player Extraordinaire

Pogo: Hi Joyce! Welcome to the Pogo Studio. It’s so nice to have you here!

Joyce: Thanks so much for having me!

Pogo: Tell us a little bit about yourself.

Joyce: Hmmm… what to say? I love to travel and explore new places, especially ones with lots of cute little shops. I also love to pursue my crafts and catch up with friends and family.

Pogo: Cats or dogs?

Joyce: I’ve had both and I’m not picking favorites! But I definitely appreciate having a furry companion around.

Pogo: If you could be invisible for a day, what would you do?

Joyce: Hopefully not scare anyone too badly! But it would be fun to drive around town or maybe really let loose and mow the lawn when all the neighbors are out.

Pogo: Do you have a favorite TV show?

Joyce: I enjoy baking and cooking shows a lot. Easiest way to work up an appetite!

Pogo: How did you get started on Pogo?

Joyce: I joined a long, long time ago after a friend told me it was a good place to play games and unwind. I’ve had fun seeing the site grow and change over the years and collected a lot of Badges along the way.

Pogo: Do you have any favorite early Pogo memories?

Joyce: The first Site-Wide Challenge I participated in was a lot of fun. I wasn’t sure what Pogo was thinking with those crazy goals, but seeing the community band together was fantastic. I’ve always liked knowing that even if I’m playing by myself, I’m still playing with a community.

Pogo: What makes you unique as a Pogo fan?

Joyce: I think everyone on Pogo is unique, and I’m no different. Although I did get to meet Spike, so that’s something.

Pogo: What’s your typical Pogo day like? Do you have any gaming routines?

Joyce: After I make the first of several cups of coffee, I like to start with a crossword. Then I check in on the new Daily or Weekly Challenges. I always have time for a few rounds of mahjong or solitaire. If I’m feeling bold, I’ll even jump into a sudoku puzzle.

Pogo: Are there any Pogo games you can’t live without?

Joyce: Crossword Cove HD is a favorite, and I love playing mahjong and solitaire games. I jump between them all the time. Right now I’m excited to start decorating my Snowbird Solitaire island!

Pogo: What do you think of the new Pogo?

Joyce: It took some getting used to. Change can be scary! But after spending time on it, I’ve gotten used to the new look, and jumping into games is easier than ever. Once I figured out my way around, I wanted to share with others. That’s why you’ll see me pop up and offer a tour!

Pogo: How do you like being the official tour guide?

Joyce: I love it! It’s fun getting to show people around and hopefully I help make the transition a little easier for all my friends in the Pogo community. We’re all in this together!

Pogo: Are there any games or features you’re excited to see come to Early Access?

Joyce: Oh certainly! I’m excited to see chat return. It’s nice to cheer each other on and share tips when a new Weekly Challenge arrives. And although I miss my tokens, I’m very curious about the new Challenge features, like earning Pogis and seeing what I can win! I’m looking forward to that.

Pogo
: Do you have any favorite new features?

Joyce: Everything feels bigger, and I like seeing all the games right up front. It’s also nice playing everything full screen – less of a strain on my eyes! I think my absolute favorite is being able to play Pogo anywhere.

Pogo: So you’re enjoying the ability to play across devices?

Joyce: I can play on my tablet in waiting rooms or on the sofa. I can hop on my laptop and play in the kitchen or even on the patio.  I can carry Pogo around in my pocket!

Pogo: Anything you want to say to your fellow Pogo players?

Joyce: Hi everyone! I hope to get to know you all better, and show you around the new Pogo even more! I look forward to playing with everyone!

I also miss my tokens took along time to accumulate them.

    • Hello katsfoxrox,
      Thank you for your feedback.
To find Challenges on Early Access, please select “Challenges” from the drop down menu and then scroll down to the “browse all challenges” feature and you can filter out to exactly what you’re looking for. You can also view your Badges under My Profile and then selecting My Rewards.

For more instructions on how to navigate Early Access, please click here for the Early Access FAQ.

I do hope this helps. Thank you!

  • Not happy with the new format. You are getting rid of all my favorite games. I use Microsoft Edge and it always tells me I am disconnected. And this only happens on pogo.

    • Hello azfamily2,
Thank you for your game request! I will relay it to our team. I appreciate your passion and support of Pogo!

  • I have been playing POGO for many years. However, it has become very frustrating when there are certain games you just cannot win even after you play this game hundreds of times. Two of them that I play and enjoy are Jet Set Solitaire and Sweet Tooth Town. If POGO’s bottom line is to have to buy gems in order to win, I am appalled. I hope this situation will be looked into and corrected.

    • Hello Try2ski,
Power Ups are available for those who wish to use them. They are always available to those who choose but are not necessary to win any game on Pogo.
      Thank you!

  • please bring pogo bowl back as HD game

  • I enjoy the old way better. I have been missing Pinochle forever. I think there are too many other kinds of card games not county Gin and Spades. I hate Suduko games and think they are showing up as a daily too often.

    • Hello,
It is my hope that you do not cancel your Pogo membership. You’re an appreciated part of the Pogo Community and it would be a heartfelt loss to us. However, if you do choose to cancel, I suggest that you come back from time to time and check out all the new things we have on the way. As a registered user, you can enjoy some games and be up to date.
The Pogo team and I understand you are upset due to some of your favorite Flash games retiring. This decision was made as Java and Flash are being phased out across the Internet. While the retirement date of Flash is stated as end of 2020, please understand that the makers of Flash, Adobe, are retiring features within Flash prior to that. These features may be needed to play Pogo games. The Pogo team is working overtime to transfer over player-favorite Flash and Java games before this happens. This also means they need resources to do so and supporting Java and Flash games are not conducive to that.
The even better news is your favorite Java or Flash games may not be gone forever. The team and I are here listening and reading your game requests for potential future HD transfer. Games like the player favorite, Jungle Gin, which was released last week. We also have a number of new and transferred games in the works including Canasta, Spades, and Dice City Roller. I will always keep you posted on the Pogo Insider with all game developments.
Thanks again for reaching out to me about your feelings on the Flash game retirements. I am here and listening to you all.
PS – Please read here on the future of Pogo. You’ll be happy to read about some of the features you enjoy!

  • That is something else I have been with Pogo a long time, and I used to love to wake up with a cup of coffee and a gin game get the dailies if i like them.then off to spades but that will change too and your rules of sending information to a player that has been bullies (right)BULL.i do not like speeding money on games i all ready paid for.just to say i have that badge you made it not worth my time to even go you a badge, there not worth any thing any way. Why couldn’t you keep same floor mate with a better twist sad

    • Thank you for all of your feedback, Bignenex5.

Please know that Pogo does not release player’s info to anyone. This would violate the Privacy Policy.
Thanks again for your feedback and for being a part of Pogo.

  • POGO has gone to hell in a hand basket. I’m out March 27!

    • Hello IcPrncss94,
Thank you for your feedback. In the future, I ask if you could please provide details on why Pogo has gone to heck in a hand basket, this will give the Pogo team a better idea of what you are looking for.

      Thank you!

  • It is going to take some getting use too!

  • Why fix it when it is not broke, i like the old pogo so much easier to play

    • Hello marysmitty59,

  • Why did u take off all the Thursday and Sunday tokens? Also all the HD games don’t have any tokens to win. I really think you will see a lot of people quit pogo myself included.

    • Hello Skiddy3098,

Thank you so much for your question and interest in tokens. I saw that many are curious as to what will happen with tokens in the future so I took some time to talk with the Pogo team. You may see this is a copy/paste message and that is because I wanted to be sure to get back to as many of you as possible with the information provided. Thanks again! I love having you as part of the Pogo community! :)

As stated in a May 2018 Pogo Insider, tokens will be removed from Pogo games in the future. I’d like to let you all know that the number of tokens you’ve earned during your time at Pogo will still be visible on Early Access; this feature is still in development, but we know how important it is to preserve your token count. The ability to earn more tokens will be ongoing after launching Pogis. We will be slowly limiting the ways to earn more tokens so we can concentrate on the Pogi experience and it’s rewards.

I’ll have plenty more information on the new reward system, including how to earn Pogis and what can be done with them, in the near future.
Please keep an eye on the Pogo Insider and Blog page for all of the most up to date information on all things Pogo. Thank you!

  • Hate this new pogo, I want Sunday and Thursday pogo coin items returned along with Texas holdum, please bring it back.

    • Hello,
Thank you for your feedback! I will relay it to our team. I appreciate your passion and support of Pogo!
