Coming Soon: More Ways to Win with Challenges

We’ve been sharing lots of information on Early Access about the ways we’ve been updating Pogo to keep our site up-to-date, and the ways that we’ve been working hard to upgrade your Pogo experience as a player based upon all of the important feedback we’ve heard from you.

Because of that feedback, we know that playing Challenges on Pogo is a major part of that experience for you, and we want to make those Challenges that you complete here on Pogo more fun, exciting, and, well, rewarding. Literally!

Coming soon, every new Challenge that you activate on Pogo – be it a Daily Challenge, Weekly Challenge, Mix-n-Match Challenge, or beyond – will be worth points (called Pogis) that you can earn.

Those points that you’ll be picking up as you complete those Challenges and earn Badges will be putting you on the path to unlock all kinds of unique rewards such as Badges, Avatars, Power-Up Packs, and more. Think of it as taking all of the Challenges that you complete on Pogo and wrapping them up in a nice bow.

We’ll be telling you more about Pogis, and about how to unlock all those special rewards, really soon. We can’t wait to share this new Challenge system, and its winged mascot, with you!

  • I hate that you are taking away all of our tokens, I worked hard to get them and because of this I will not be renewing when you switch over to the new pogo

    • Hello,

Thank you so much for your question and interest in the new rewards systems called Pogis! (I’m so excited for it!) I saw that many are curious as to what will happen with tokens in the future so I took some time to talk with the Pogo team. You may see this is a copy/paste message and that is because I wanted to be sure to get back to as many of you as possible with the information provided. Thanks again! I love having you as part of the Pogo community! :)

As stated in a May 2018 Pogo Insider, tokens will be removed from Pogo games in the future. I’d like to let you all know that the number of tokens you’ve earned during your time at Pogo will still be visible on Early Access; this feature is still in development, but we know how important it is to preserve your token count. The ability to earn more tokens will be ongoing after launching Pogis. We will be slowly limiting the ways to earn more tokens so we can concentrate on the Pogi experience and it’s rewards.

I’ll have plenty more information on the new reward system, including how to earn Pogis and what can be done with them, in the near future.
Please keep an eye on the Pogo Insider and Blog page for all of the most up to date information on all things Pogo. Thank you!

  • You guys are taking away alot of my favorite games. I don’t play Payday Freecell anymore! I regularly play Jungle Gin which I see is being removed. For the price we pay a year, you’d think you’d leave our old favorites. Add new if you want but leave our favorites alone!

    • Hello Wireusgal,

First off, I must tell you the great news that Jungle Gin HD is available. Yay!

The Pogo team and I understand you are upset due to some of your favorite Flash games and features retiring. This decision was made as Java and Flash are being phased out across the Internet. While the retirement date of Flash is stated as end of 2020, please understand that the makers of Flash, Adobe, are retiring features within Flash prior to that. These features may be needed to play Pogo games. The Pogo team is working overtime to transfer over player-favorite Flash and Java games before this happens. This also means they need resources to do so and supporting Java and Flash games are not conducive to that.
The even better news is your favorite Java or Flash games and features may not be gone forever. The team and I are here listening and reading your game requests for potential future HD transfer. We have a number of new and transferred games in the works. I will always keep you posted on the Pogo Insider with all game developments.
Thanks again for reaching out to me about your feelings on the Flash game retirements. I am here and listening to you all.

  • You have taken every thing from us. We won’t get any more tokens I only do teh challenges to get tokens. You don’t even give tokens fr holidays like you use to. Bet I don’t get an answer.

  • With all the changes and taking away almost all of my games I play I see no reason to renew my membership. Years ago you could use your tokens to buy cups, tea shirts, etc.
My wife also canceled her membership which she had for over 10 years for the same reason.

    • Hello humes48,
It is my hope that you do not cancel your Pogo membership. You’re an appreciated part of the Pogo Community and it would be a heartfelt loss to us. However, if you do choose to cancel, I suggest that you come back from time to time and check out all the new things we have on the way. As a registered user, you can enjoy some games and be up to date.

  • One of the biggest complaints I have heard is no chat. That’s how I have made a lot of friends on here. Plus that’s what makes Pogo different from all other game sites. You get rid of all the most popular games. I’m losing a lot of my friend because when their subscription is up their not renewing. So sad what pogo has turned in to.

  • I’ve heard that there will be NO chat areas in any of the new games. Is that true??? Hopefully not. People play on here for a social outlet as well as all the other things. Taking away the chat would really ruin the playing for a lot of us!! PLEASE let me know! Thank you

  • Will you please try to bring back boggle bash, or something similar. All the games I love are being eliminated. I love slot games but you have hardly any fun games to play!!! Also it seems every new game is going to cost money to keep playing NOT GOOD Thanks for listening to my concerns

  • will we get a refund on the badges we lose soon this is a lot of money i will be losing i would have spent my gems elsewhere and i’m hoping we will get something for the ones we didn’t have time to complete i have a ton and this saddens me that i’m losing the chance to finish what i bought from pogo and now poof gone sad please tell me someone is going to help with this problem i try to buy all badges but now i’m afraid to buy any gems because i might lose them or what i have bought episodes power packs and so on and dont no who to ask about this please let me no if help is available

    • Hello Chickiepeanut,

I truly value your passion about Pogo and will do my best to respond to your questions and concerns. Our team is working hard on new features, games and more for Pogo Early Access and we really appreciate all feedback received on the new site as we continue to work on the upcoming additions to the site. We appreciate your continued patience as the Pogo team continues to work on the site.

Regarding badges, your earned badges are now available on the new Early Access site. You can find all of your earned badges present on the new “My Profile” page, on the “My Rewards” tab. All Gems will also continue to be available on Early Access. Please check back at https://blog.pogo.com/ for further Pogo updates and announcements regarding the Early Access site.

  • Not that you guys will ever listen to what I have to say but you need to stop changing everything on pogo and leave well enough alone. Because of all of the recent changes and games that you got rid of before I could complete all of the badges that were available for those games I WILL NOT BE RENEWING MY MEMBERSHIP WHEN IT COMES UP FOR RENWAL NEXT YEAR.

  • NOT VERY HAPPY WITH THE NEW PROGRAM I WAS PLAYING A GAME SOLITAIRE (ISLAND) CANNOT REMEMBER THE NAME BUT TWICE IT (GAME) FROZE UP I LOST MY SCORE AND COIN. I HAVE BEEN A MEMBER FOR AWHILE I THINK I PROBABLY WILL NO LONGER BE ONE WHEN MY MEMBERSHIP EXPIRES. NOT TOO HAPPY WITH THE CERTAIN GAMES LEAVING.

    • Unfortunately I’m unable to troubleshoot here on the blog. Please reach out to EA Help and they will be able to assist you. Thank you!

  • You removed my post, so I’ll say it again. We pay $40 a year for a POGO membership. Charging us for gems on top of that is 100% pure greed.

  • I, have enjoyed playing Pogo, but now all my games will be gone. I, don’t but gems and I only play for a badge if the game is of interest to me. It seem my Pogo will be gone!

  • I really miss Pinochle !!! Are there any plans to make an HD Pinochle game?

  • What about all of those badges I purchased but never completed? And, PLEASE bring back Stellar Sweeper!!!!

    • Hello MTermac,

All Flash badges that you purchased and did not complete will be auto-awarded to you. Thank you for the game request.

  • Half of the games that I like to play and relax are going to be gone. Guess I will not renew my subscription.

  • Are there any plans to convert Pogo bowl as I and many of my friends really enjoy playing it?

  • How do I chat with friends or other players in the room?

  • please bring back texas hold em poker i love that game.

  • Hard to understand the new reward system. Why so many steps to find things? Scary!!!

    • Hi CicaP2,

Apologies for any confusion. This post was just a leaser into what will be coming for the new reward system. More information will come in the future which will include details. Thank you for your patience.

  • Can’t wait to earn pogis points we will be flying high like pegasus have an awesome day everyone

  • I am so glad I bought all my mini clothes from the mini mall when I could. You really have nothing to offer anymore.Been a POGO member for a long time.I really am not happy with anything anymore. It is like playing a game in some other place.I have gems and no place to spend them on anymore.Miss the old POGO!!!3 of my family are members but maybe not for long.

  • I am very sad to see some of these changes with Pogo. Four generations including my grandmother, my mother, myself and my daughter have been long time Pogo players (20 plus years). We have renewed our Club Pogo membership year after year and have loved all the games. I am very sad to see a lot of our favorite games disappear as well as the mini mall. I understand the need for change and keeping up with today’s technology, but you would think that with the ever growing technology there would be some way to keep these games. I am just not understanding it all. I have seriously thought about not renewing my membership when the new changes take effect. My mother has decided the same. I really hope that most of the original and favorite games will be back. Some if not most of them are what has made Pogo what it is and brought people of all ages to join in on the fun.
    Singed,
    Very sad and concerned

  • the music on Poppit Bingo is much to loud. If I lower the sound, then I can hardly hear the numbers. A lot of us have hearing problems. Please balance the music and the voice so we can enjoy both

  • I am elated to hear that you are continuing to offer Canasta game in March2020. If all possible, post a link on the canasta ribbon so we can see what to expect when it switches to HTML. This will help us stay informed so we can stay with Pogo instead of looking for other game sites. Thank you!

  • when are you going to have chat in the new pogo and also will you be able to play gin canasta and spades with friends

  • other than solitaire will you bring back pinochle/hearts and spades.

The old format was easier for all. white background easier to read.

Easier reaching friends with the old age grouping system to chat which I hope you will bring back.

Most games very simple and childish.

  • Will all the tokens I have earned through the years just disappear, or will they transfer over to pogis?

  • I have one thing to say….Pogo is no longer Pogo in my estimation. It used to be fun…now daily challenges are almost always the same….if we want to play most of the games you need to keep buy gems….you got rid of some of the best games you had….and a lot of other members feel the same way. This is my last yr on Pogo it just hasn’t got it anymore. It wasn’t broke so it didn’t need to be fixed.

  • How do I go back and get the older challenges to work with? When I first joined Pogo, I was able to access all the badges I had not won, or missed on a weekly basis. Thanks!

    • Hello hugger8832,

To find Challenges on Early Access, please select “Challenges” from the drop down menu and then scroll down to the “browse all challenges” feature and you can filter out to exactly what you’re looking for.

      Thank you!

  • i cant wait to play jungle gin and yahtze party.

  • It is sad there’s no way to gift things on the New Pogo!!! There was one mini contest we have been able to do. Last weeks was the last one for now. Hopefully it is only for now. I have spent no telling how many millions of gems on Mini mall making mini’s because I LOVE IT WITH A PASSION!!! I am disabled so not able to get out and go like I use to. The pain is too bad. And being in a wheelchair not able to just go by myself. Don’t help either. So my days are spent home ALL THE TIME. Making mini’s for the contest gave me a goal to sit and see what I could do. All of that I feel is being stolen from us/ me! Many of us love the challenge. Of competing with each other. Had a great time and made some wonderful friends doing this. If we could dress up the “Avatar’s . To make them unique that would help. Why not have an Avatar Mall. Like the mini mall was. I know a lot has been said about this. But loosing chat is a MAJOR BLOW TO US!!! Talking to each other was one that made it so much fun. To help each other made a lot of friends this way. Now we can’t do that. Not to sound negative. But we really do NEED chat and on the side like it us to be. At the bottom makes it HARD but at least it was there. If someone needed help we could help.

  • i hope u will back dominoes

  • I MISS BOGGLE, CANASTA, AND DOMINOES. ANY CHANCE YOU BRING ANY OF THEM TO THE NEW FORMAT?

  • i still want to know if the money I have spent in mahjong escape will be credited to my account as it will be going away. last time I guess my comment was deleted

  • If the Mini Mall goes away, how will we change outfits that we already own on our Minis? I have tons of things in my “closet” and lots of backgrounds too. Please tell us that part is staying. A generic Avatar is not something anybody wants to use.

    • Hello sheilahrabal!
Thank you for the question. When I have more information, I will definitely let you all know here in the blog. Thank you!

  • Ok, so I got upset too early. I did find my collection of mini items…
the new navigation is not user-friendly if you want to find them though. I really miss the bar at the top of the screen to get into different sections of Pogo

  • Looking for challenges needs to be easier. I miss scrolling under the game I’m playing to find what badges I haven’t completed.

  • I know that Java is being eliminated and Flash too. But I recall that Mod Java said for players not to install Java update 11 when released . I know Java is separate entity from Pogo . Will Java be completely eliminated by the time new Pogo is released??

  • PLEASE KEEP DOMINOES AND TRIVIAL PURSUIT!

  • can we still get tokens on Thursday and sunday

  • What happened to our chances to win MONEY? when they took the 400.00 pots away, telling us their would be many more chances to win with smaller pots, then those went to. Now it cost more to play yearly, and you create fun hidden object games but only first games are free then you can’t play unless you pay more. At least the old games every few weeks put another free game out. Please there are a lot of us who are like me , been here since beginning and can’t afford to stay. we’ve given you our loyalty, how about giving a little loyalty back to us.

  • Where do we find which badge we want to play?

    • Hello clapton300,

To find Challenges on Early Access, please select “Challenges” from the drop down menu and then scroll down to the “browse all challenges” feature and you can filter out to exactly what you’re looking for.

      Thank you!

  • Think ‘Pogo Points’ might’ve been a better name. What about all the badges that award tokens? What happens to those when Pogis go into effect?

  • do (pogis) apply to uk players as well?

  • What about the Chat bar when is that coming back I never know when my friend is in my room. Can’t you have it where he pop’s up

  • please bring back chat!!!!!

  • If you bring back any of the slot games, I hope that you keep or add auto-spin to them. It made it
nice when having to do something else.

  • No answer to the question … WILL OUR EXISTING MINIS AND MINI ITEMS USED AT THE CLASSIC POGO SITE BE AVAILABLE TO USE AT THE NEW POGO SITE IN THE FUTURE?
